@ericol65 Hola, bueno en realidad en ese video no podía utilizar el meñique para nada, fijate que salvo 4 notas todo lo demás está tocado absolutamente con tres dedos, en ese video todavia no me habia recuperado para nada, sólo tenía el ánimo de volver a tocar y eso era lo que quería transmitir pero las combinaciones de cualquier dedo con el meñique eran imposibles. Por suerte Summer Song era una canción que podia tocar evitando las combinaciones de dedos que disparaban la distonía. Abrazo

Si, pero comparado a antes, me parece todo un logro! Actualmente, yo desde luego no puedo tocar ese tema, púes mis cuatro dedos estan "atrapados", pero sé que voy por buen camino, y sobre todo, mi ánimo es POSITIVO y RECEPTIVO de verdad!

Hola, felicitaciones por el video suena y se ve genial, yo tambien sufro de dstonica focal. lastimosamente a mi me afecto los dedos indice y pulgar derecho ( no puedo manejar la pajuela) y el corazon y meñique izquierdo. Queria preguntarte si seguiste algun tipo de tratamiento o terapia para poder volver a tocar. Cualquier informacion al respecto te la agradecere enormemente. Muichas gracias Pao por tus comentarios, espero que este perfíl que he creado en youtube ayude a otras personas que también sufren distonía focal. Yo por ahora no he llegado a recuperarme 100% todavía pero creo estar ya superando el 80%.

I have FD in my 3rd & 4th fingers also and used to love playing Flying in a Blue Dream :( I adapted for a while using RH tapping for legato but have now switched to LH playing. I would love to discuss the subject further with you. Great version of Summer Song by the way :) Here's to a full recovery!

Hi, what a coincidence, Flying in a Blue Dream was my favorite Satch song to play as well, I am almost being able to play it again! I think I am about 80% recovered. Despite what doctors say, I think it's possible to recover 100%. I was diagnosed FD from 2 different neurologist and now I am 80% back jaja, I almost can't believe it. It's possible, it's possible. I have to upload new videos but I had no time yet. I'll send you a P.M.

Thanks stratmaiden, I am really sorry to hear that you suffer focal dystonia too.. luckily the level of dystonia that I have actually allows me to play a lot of things and this one is one of these.

In my personal opinion, musicians with focal dystonia shouldn´t try to learn reversing their playing but trying to fix their original playing.

hola disculpa para conectarla usas alguna interfaz? o solo un adaptador de mini plug y ya? tienes tarjeta de sonido? no se corre el riesgo de quemar la tarjeta de la pc o peor aun dañar la guitarra?

El POD no es un amplificador sino un PRE amplificador y sus salidas tienen nivel de linea lo que es adecuado para conectar directamente a la entrada de linea de la tarjeta de sonido. Tambien puedes conecar la salida de auriculares del POD a la entrada de linea de la trajeta de sonido pero debes bajar el nivel de volumen para que no sature.

Ahora.. dañar la guitarra??? eso es imposible, no tiene nada que ver la entrada el POD con sus salidas...

Thanks a lot alterbridge111, the focal dystonia that I have doesn't allow me to play mostly combinations between my 3rd and 4th fingers, the faster I try to play, the worse, that's why in this song I play the fast solo section with my first 3 fingers only. Despite of that, I began playing guitar 20 years ago, I bet you've been playing for lot less time than that. If you are dedicated to guitar you'll see that you'll play incredibly well after 20 years of practice!!

well I have been playing for about 6 months and I dont play that much - I bet in total about 20 hours LOL I dont put enough time into it but would love to be pro one day.. I play on expert guitar hero, top 50 leader boards in the world so I have the dexterity for it.. On real guitar the most technical I can play is Domination solo pantera and Psychosocial by slipknot - but for guitar hero I can shred insanely, thats why its frustrating for me to learn guitar because I SUCK.. next post, no room
