I'm 19. I had to give my first car to my older brother after he crashed his. It was a 1993 FWD Ford Escort. It wasn't the best car in the world but I took complete care of it and it was always spotlessly clean. A year after I gave it to him I went up to visit him and it was filled with trash, it was rusting, it had too much air in the brake lines and the master cylinder was done for and he hadn't bothered to get any of it fixed. He just didn't care. I have never wanted to beat the living hell o
I still have my first ever car, an old reliable truck that I am currently rebuilding even 3 cars later. I dont even like trucks but I have such a love and attachment for this, Its more than a machine to me
he is right,a lot of the tuners, not all, make these cars with lots of horsepower, but there crap,I can build and tune a highpowered car,but I wouldn't sell it to the public.Compare a Callaway or Hennesey to a GT3 Porsche,no contest in build quality, reliability, resale etc.
This just goes to show that Jezza IS a decent guy, as we all knew. He gets lots of bad press for saying REALLY what a lot of us feel and think. Jezza if you see this, keep doing what you do best....and thats entertainment...LONG LIVE JEZZA
Its wierd. I've had my fair share of crapy cars which I loved to bits. Clarkson has just explained why I loved them. I just never realised. I think it shows just how much he LIVES cars
I admore the guy but why is he being so miserable and just not taking a joke? Not to mention not shutting up about his car that clearly isnt to Jeremy's taste. I think Jezza was a trooper for being such a gent.
Because he loves that car. It is hard to understand if you never have been in his shoes.
I fully understand Eric ,because i too am sentimental about my first car. When you loose something that you cared that much about ,it is like loosing a beloved familly member!
And i guess you wouldn't like someone talking bad about your dead familly member ,would you?
Jezza understood him but yet he was kinda mocking him because of his feelings and his car....
@MeskovicZ, Even so it doesnt hurt to be a bit more up-beat about it. Im not having a go about the subject matter, its the lack of enthusiasum in the interview which gets me.
Well ,the tension can be cut with knife i agree ,but still ,you have to understand in other to judge ,if you want to judge in first place.
Both of them were kind of dissrespectful to each other ,but still it was a fine interview and i do agree that Jezza was a bit more of gentlmen although he did laughed to Eric face couple of times....
@PatrickMasonBurke Yup, it does seem like that. Even though it's an Eric Bana film Clarkson really takes over this part, Bana you can tell is plotting how he can throw him off the balcony and get away with it. :-)
i had a crash in my first car, a green 1.4 GM corsa. it cost me 300 quid and the repair would have cost 450 so i scrapped it. worst. decision. ever.

If Bana didn't want an honest, up front opinion on his motor ... he should never of spoken to Jezza.
