  • A Jamieson Smile: The "Timbre" (the Spiritual Color & Tone) of Judith Durham...The Timbre (color & tone) of the Gospel. "Someone's singing Lord." "Someone's crying Lord."

To Walk in: (1) "loving Kindness", to walk in (2) "love" and to walk with (3) "a sound mind" is to walk with the Lord. These are the key traits of Charity.

May Judith walk in the Comfort of the Lord, forever, Amen.

    With loving eyes & heart,

    Veritas,

    Jamieson (Peter)

  • I'm another fan of Judith's wonderful 'upholstery' but I'll restrain my lust here. She looks so beautiful and elegant in a stunning dress and her voice here is just as beautiful. She drives me crazy.

  • @rikee2011 I wondered when you and saucyseeker would show up, drooling over Judith's generous front. But you have surprised me with more refined comments than normal and a greater appreciation of all Judith's beauty and talent. In this video she looks and sounds even more of a goddess.

  • Stop arguing you two. I always been a fan of Judith's magnifient bosom (sorry moomba67, I am one of her lusty admirers). She is still is a beautiful and feminine lady who never flaunts her flesh her sublime vocals here are her greatest talent.

  • @saucyseeker i could'nt agree with you more,she is a goddess thats all i'm trying to say.

  • spacecowboy7580 i was'nt refering to judith going around with her bits hanging out ,if you had read my comment properly you would have seen that i was referring to todays so called singers who i would'nt mention in the same breath as a WORLD SUPERSTAR,alias miss judith durham, hope thats cleared it up.

If you're going to reply to me...it's best you press the REPLY BUTTON alongside my comment...then I'll receive your reply in my email box.

  • @applepie238

I didn't say you said that...I was just picking up on you referring to her bosom as " her tits "...which you clearly did, " this girl did'nt have to go around with her tits and backside hanging out "

    Hope that's cleared it up.

  • @spacecowboy7580 ok theres a good ole mix up somewhere, judith if you read this i apoligise it read worse than it was certainly meant to.

  • @spacecowboy7580 sorry if i upset you my friend,it sure was'nt meant to.

  • Here's real talent for ya...not like this Britney Spears crap.

  • i imagine myself on my deathbed...life for me is slipping away...and the last sound i hear is judith's singing this song...that would be like way cool man...

  • Anyone out there know if The Seekers will ever tour New Zealand again? Perhaps Judith Durham can tell me if she reads this comment on You Tube.

  • Judith Durham's voice will always remain as one of the finest in show biz history.

  • Good thing my keyboard is waterproof. . . WOW.

  • The other beautiful aspects of songs by the SEEKERs are the fantasticc acoustic guitars backing by the Group. the sounds are just sweet.

  • Still the best musical act to emerge from Australia.

  • The only problem with the Seekers is that they broke up, and we lost the chance to hear them perform many other folk classics. We can regret that they never sang many of these great songs with their glorious sound, but we can be thankful for what the Seekers did give us for five great years.

  • I've never heard an angel sing, but I will imagine that it would be sounding something like this absolutely beautiful woman.Bill

  • A God given talent, amazing!!

  • lindo louvore MEU DEUS!AMEN

  • I understand she used to sing in a Salvation Army Band. Perectly clear voice you could listen to all day.

  • Bella la Judith, una canzone-preghiera grande che commuove dopo "I'll Never Find Another You" questa e la mia favorita, sei grande Judith!

  • I imagine that this gets played in heaven!

  • 2 thumbs up!

  • The best!

  • great summer camp music perhaps the best version Ive ever heard

  • I defy you to find anything finer than this...words won't do this justice.

  • I knew as soon as I heard it, I had to have a copy of this version.

  • Judith Durham is one of the greatest female singer ever! She instantly become my favourite singer along with Mary Duff and Stevie Nicks.

  • at the risk of sounding foolish what does kumbaya mean

  • @kern39743 Hi there, it is an African expression for "Come by here, Lord", in other words, asking the Lord to be present and nearby, in times of sadness and joy.

  • Very beautiful! Amen!

  • Thanks for uploading this song. It is lovely, the perfect song for one to relax to after a hard day's work or when things are getting tough.

  • What is a Kumbaya?

  • @lildude8210 It's an African sentiment of some sort...prayerful..."Be near Lord" or "Come be here, Lord". In other words, "Lord, we need you." It's really beautiful, isn't it?

  • @howzitgoin1970 Yes It sure is very nice.....I love it dearly. Thanks for the information.

  • @lildude8210 You're welcome. And thanks for subscribing to my channel!

  • Perfection, an era that will never happen again

  • Words are not adequate to describe my feelings when I hear Judith sing. Pure angel. Thank you Australia for this gift to the world.

  • What beautiful clear singing, and perfectly supported by the guys.

  • The sound of God on Earth.

  • I listened to them in the 60's and still do most everyday. It's different than the crap that''s available now. Anyone who loves this group has to stand in line behind me.

  • Judith was an is an angel of music, she sings with passion and dignity, and the voice is heavenly indeed, her gift of music, has been a great joy to millions, and her great music will endure. For Judith and the boys. peace good will and health to you all, and that dress is stunning, peace out from San Francisco

  • Only the Seekers. That is, THE Seekers. Judith, Keith, Bruce and Athol... could resurrect a song consigned to the hellish pits of cliche and make it compelling...

  • @iowa61 You said a mouthful...as someone who has sung this at church youth retreats around a campfire, I was kind of tired of it, so I skipped it on their CD. Then one morning last week, I let it play and it was a revelation...the absolutely best arrangement of this song I have EVER heard. Pure spiritual beauty.

  • @howzitgoin1970 Same experience. Skipped it until I got lazy and let it play through. Had my head handed to me...

  • @iowa61 What (I think) I noticed missing on the studio version I have on the CD is the verse "Someone's praying, Lord..." I am so happy that they included that verse on this concert version. Nice talking to you. Enjoy!

  • @iowa61 Truly.

  • Come by me dear Lord. Bill G.

  • hmmm.... not keen on song but i like the singers

  • Wonderful.

    The Seekers are amazing.

    Thank you for posting this.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Great performance of this song.

  • Magical

  • Perfection illustrated.

Flawless instrumental lead in. Judith Durham's pitch-perfect voice. Sheer perfection in harmonies and back up. Name another group that can even remotely approach the Seekers here.

    I can't.

  • @63DW89 Absolutely Brilliant!

  • @63DW89 Sorry but the Mamas and The Papas might........ if half of them weren't dead. so no

  • @cherrocks12121 I grew up with Mamas and Papas, enjoy their music to this day as their songs are a wonderful reminder of my youth! But as great as they are, the Mamas and Papas are not in the same class as the Seekers.

That is not a put-down, because no other group is in the same class as the Seekers either.

If you can find "The Seekers Complete" 5CD set, sit down and listen wtihout prejudice. You'll quickly see why no other group can touch the Seekers.

  • @63DW89 maybe insane clown posse ???

  • @plutoplatters kiddddding.... she's pure heaven

  • i wonder what the other singers think when judith covers their songs and sings them a 1000 times better,WOW what a SUPERSTAR.xxx

  • this girl did'nt have to go around with her tits and backside hanging out to sell her records she just let her voice speak for her, todays trash will soon be forgotten but this fabulous one off sound will still be listened to in another 100 years time, judith durham is unique and will never be bettered or forgotten, love you judith, xxx

  • @applepie238

Judith doesn't have " tits "..she has a bosom..and a very nice one too.

  • @spacecowboy7580 Yes, Judith has always had a impressive bosom. I just hope your comment does'nt set off some of her more lusty admirers.

  • Very lovely - peaceful. A great Seeker rendition.

  • This is by far the best version going around

  • Thank You for posting. Very innocent and beautiful !!

  • Soon as I get my time machine working I'm headed for 1993 and the concert hall in Melbourne. For now youtube will have to do.

  • Everything always done is such good taste.

  • I don't think I have ever heard the great Durham sing anything short of pitch perfect but she is in superb voice in this. Thank you Daz

  • Her voice imprinted on me when I was 8 years old, for a lifetime of enjoyment.

  • Those old fogeys still got it. Thanks for posting this. It is excellent. I think this is her best vocal with the seekers but its not on my greatest hits for some reason...

  • Have to cast my all-time-favourite vote for Waltzing Matilda [live Melbourne football-final]

On the up-side; having introduced more 'girls', born-too-late as the Ponytails once-sang, to the Seekers appreciation continues to expand.

  • trossachs2003. please check your greatest hits again. after a few listenings of this you'll maybe find it there where it should be!

  • Markserjeant: I can't believe you took time out of your busy life to make such a fatuous and unhelpful comment. Are you trying to say I'm too stupid to know what's on my own cd?

Don't tell me....you've got a greatest hits that includes this song....and you've just assumed that everyone else would have the same compilation.

  • trossachs2003, No I'm not suggesting you are too stupid to know your own tastes but was only wondering why you said it was her best vocal but not on a greatest hit's list "for some reason". By the way ,I don't have a busy life " obviously", but please explain (if you would), why my comment was fatuous and unhelpful. I should have of stated that to me anything judith sings to me, is a greatest hit. But that is only my opinion. I think I am a bit biased that way. My apologies to you.

  • Mark, what I said was that it was not on MY greatest hits CD. Your response was that I should go back and listen again and I would find it there; which sounded smug and patronising. Perhaps that's not what you meant but that is what it sounded like. Which is why I said your comment was unhelpful.

I AM a trifle sensitive: I once made a flattering remark about JD on another vid which was obviously not reverential enough and I got flamed. Some Judith D fans are a bit odd. tks for replying

  • trossachs203, There was no smugness nor any patronising meant. It was only that I thought you appreciated her music (which of course I do), and this song and would put it on their greatest hits list. I definately didn't mean to influence your taste in any way. So have a nice day and all the best for the coming holidays.

  • Oh I see what you are on about now! Misunderstanding. I was talking about a CD I have called the Seeker's Greatest Hits - and it's not on that CD. I was not talking about my own 'personal greatest hits'. FYI I would rank this as her greatest vocal - I like the gutsy gospel feel she gives it ()esp the original). My comment was originally surprise that it HADN'T been included on that CD. Have a good break as well.
