No doupt about it,those are definetly TF-39's.I was a Flight Engineer on that plane for a little while.There is a new M model which is basically a B model with CF-6 engines and new APU's.I've been to Cherry Point MCAS before picking up cargo for a Marine unit.Those runways are short.

Yeah that's a C-5B Galaxy. VERY distinctive engine sound and is MUCH bigger the the C-17 Globemaster 3. Plus the Galaxy is some times refered as a BUFF. Big Ugly Fat F******!

its a c-5, you can tell by the whine of its engines and the size of its nose. (the c-17 sounds like a 757)

you're right but its easier to tell by the tail. The C-5 has a horizontal stab flush with the top of the vertical stailizer whereas the c-17 has its located down a few feet.

saw a usaf c5 depart Canberra, Australia today actually.Canberra only has a small airport for the capital, and the cops and security closed the road at the runway start to prevent the jetblast while the c5 was preparing for takeoff.awesome sound when it did go.
