I personally prefer Dave, partly because I think he's the better writer, soloist, and all around guitar player. And he's a damn good singer. But my bias may be because I like Mustaine's bands more than I do Slash's. I think they're both great guitarists though.

I like Mustaine better. Megadeth is my favourite band and I admire Dave very much. For me, he's a genius. Both are great guitar players obviously, and I'm sure that Dave can't play melodic solos as well as Slash does. But I doubt harder that Slash can play Dave's fastest and most technical stuff.

In my opinion, Mustaine is the best guitarist of all times.
