@jbg43 Most other countries don't use a transition level of FL180. Each country is different and in this case, France, it's designated by ATC but usually 6000' on descent and always 5000' when climbing.
@jbg43 Yea bro.. the transition level and transitin altitude differ for different countries.. plus, low transitions are better, cause when you cruise at lower altitudes, you don't have to set your altimeters when passing every country :)
in case anyone was wondering, the flag flying over the jetway at 1:41 is there because that's the gate that either AA11 or AA175 left from before being flown into the WTC towers. There's also a flag over the gate in Newark where UA93 departed from.
Thanks for re-posting this. I remember when this video first made an appearance back in 2004 and have been looking for it since. I'm a 757 FO doing crossings way too often and have sent this video to my friends and family to give them a glimpse of what I do. Thanks again for an excellent video.

God bless you man, I really respect all you guys do as pilots. Tons of hard work that is rewarded by seeing the world from a view only seen by pilots. Great work and great videos.
Hi Kent! Wow! I just checked my you-tube updates and here it is!! It's back!!! Good for you man! This is, as you know, my FAV - I've shown the CD you sent me so many times, at parties mainly. Now w/Face Book I can upload or. . . no, just c/paste link. Whoo hoo! ( it must be the song)!!!
I watch this video every time I have to fly. I have a horrible fear of flying, and this video makes me feel better about it. All of fly4fun's videos make me feel better, actually. :-)
@airmanjayl Oh, they're pretty boring. And I no longer film below 10,000 feet as I don't think it's FAA sanctioned. Although for a training video like the 737 bounces, I have. (See that video in my list).
@fly4fun lol. the bird's eye view is not boring to those of us who always dreamed of flying, but rarely get the chance to. :) although, I completely understand about the possible conflict with FAA regs. thank you!

@gt5004life I did Frank's retirement video in HD which is on this channel. But I'd love to revisit or even re-do this one with permission from all the parties needed.
@fly4fun Yes, I've watched that one as well quite a few times =P. By the way, can you bid the 777 now? Maybe it wouldn't work out being on reserve and living in Germany, but as far as seniority goes. I read that you can hold a mad dog captain slot now.
IT'S BACK!!!!! I love this video. I have had it saved to my computer for years. I always look at it when I need a pick-me-up. Plus, I would love if hired to fly for AA, to fly the 757-767 aircraft. Kent, a few months ago, I received an offer to work for AA in advertising... might take it up, but I would have to move to Dallas... I'm not fond of the Texas heat.
