Here in Greece in my Village my neighbor is an oil presser with the facility just meters away. When the olives are not yet oil but something more like a pasta and the machine bakes them it smells so good. The only thing that we are not using from the oil are some liquids of the fruit that don't contain oil and are dark coloured water like with the smell of the olives we called it "liozoumo" (lio- for elia-olive and zoumo-zoumi-fluids). The core used instead for petrol for house heating.

Spain is by far the largest producer of olive oil of the world. Especially in the province of Jaén. The excesses of production of olive oil are exported to Italy and then sells it from Italy to USA normaly. (more expensive of course)

I used to work here! its called Queen Creek Olive Mill in arizona. heres the facts

the owner at the end is a selfish pig that pays nothing and has his employees do so many illegal and dangerous things in the back. He tells everyone his olives are grown in the tiny orchard on the land. We had so many semis bring in crates and crates of product. You can also have 10 dollars stolen from you for the amazing tour which you dont even get to see the "orchard"

I work in a olive oil machinery company. Much bigger than the machines shown in the video. I can say it doesn't smell bad at all. It has an intense smell, but then you get used to it. The so called "caca" is olive paste you could actually eat if the pits were not crushed with the pulp.
