  • All the things you make are soo Cutee!

  • I LOVE TO CRAFT!!!!!!!

  • I like to dabble in everything, but I always come back to macramé. I've knitted and just tried crocheting and I enjoy leatherworking on occasion. And I've wanted to make something with chainmaille for a while, but it hasn't gotten very far. Soon I'm going to re-seat a chair for my mom with reed stuff! Crafting is awesome. :) Needle felting looks really cool!

  • It is so funny listening to you talk about how you craft. I have a craft closet filled with materials...only problem is I already know how to make things with those materials and I want to know how to make new things. It cant help the process that I am totally ADD. Oh well...if people see something I make in the beginning stages I might be able to recreate it for them. I just have trouble making the same things over and over again. New viewer...consider me subscribed!

  • I absolutely adore crafting! I recently got really into sewing clothing. Hats are super fun! I made a Pinkie Pie hat for myself :) I also love crafting with jars because you can make such cute useful things, especially for storage/lighting. I love you plushies!

  • I make lots of things. I was in 4H as a kid, and I think that is where my "don't be afraid to try new things" mentality came from, because I already know that I can do things that are hard, so things like knitting, crocheting, book binding, stencil making, I taught myself to do that after I was done with 4H. Sewing is really useful because I can turn things I don't like into things I do like by cutting and sewing. I love re-constructing things. My next craft goal is embroidery.

  • @MissiCupcake553

Oh yeah, I knit, too! (How did I forget that?) I'm making a blanket! :)

  • @MissiCupcake553 Ooh, the knitting epic! One of my friends made a blanket a couple years ago. Good luck!

  • Subscribed!

  • @kuodee Thank you! :)

  • I'm an illustrator! So I love drawing and it makes me super happy. I love buying other peoples art/prints, but I also love buying stuff I can't make, like jewelry. I enjoy sewing too, but I'm not very good at it.

  • I was watching a show on crafting today about felting and there is this little hand held felting needle (its like 20/30 needles) and you press it down and it felts 30 times as much and faster :)

  • I crochet and I spool/French knit.

I make scarves, and I make little things, just knick knacks, as presents, or to sell. I'm making a blanket right now!

    It's really fun! :D

  • I find it funny when self proclaimed Slytherins are sorted into Hufflepuff XD it's like retribution

  • @llamamuffinpanda95 Good thing I've always been a self-proclaimed Hufflepuff. :)

  • I love crafting, mostly sewing.... occasionally a little painting and misc. But crafting in general just makes me really happy!

  • I've recently gotten into knitting, and my friend showed me how to knit a hat. I currently have 6 knitted hats within 2 months. I have my own Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin hat, a random-wool hat, my own Slytherin scarf, a Halloween scarf, a rando hat and now working on a paur of mittens and another hat. I plan on giving my family members homemade hats for Xmas as well! Cannt wait :P

  • I didn't have room in my other post, but I wanted to mention the awesome pendant I bought at the last show I went to. It's made out of a scrabble piece, and it's a V for my name. So cute. I feel I with have to take a new picture with it on soon, probably also with my pen tip earrings. Sorry for rambling! ^_^;

  • I'm not much of a craft-maker, but I love buying awesome things at shows. Especially jewelry, which shouldn't be surprising consider how much of it I buy from regular stores. But there's something really special about going to a craft show and being able to hand money to the person, who actually made what you are buying, and then, feel good about yourself for buying things that really support the creator. Someday, I hope people will feel that way when they buy my books.

  • I really love buttons. They are amazing little bits of awesome that you can add to whatever you wear that day.

  • I knit, crochet, and sew and I'm pretty dreadful at all three. And by dreadful I mean not very dedicated to things I start. So it might look lovely three years later when I finally finish it, but it's been three years.

  • I'm concerned that you still haven't gotten your Pottermore letter. I'm sad that it's still in Beta and that I didn't hear about it sooner. Frustrated :(

  • Recently, I've been obsessed with making shrink plastic jewelry. Like you, I can't pick just one craft to dedicate my time to. I love experimenting and learning new crafts. I think it's so awesome to be able to make as much as possible yourself and make it exactly what you want.

  • Your art makes me smile. <3

  • I'm not especially crafty (my mum is, though; she's a greeting card whiz), but earlier this year I took up knitting as a stress-reliever/time-killer. And I absolutely love it. right now I only have a couple stitches under my belt, but I'm looking to improve and purchase some more knitting paraphernalia and/or patterns.

  • Can I just say that I love your haircut? And also your happiness: you glow with it. :)

I wish I were craftier but I tend to get bored and not stick with a craft long enough to get good at it.

  • I knit, crochet, and draw, but I've branched out into bookbinding and papercrafts. Just today I made 2 mini diaries and a tiny letter & envelope as photo props for my crocheted dolls. One thing that is important to me is basing my crafts on things I care about, like adding subtle hints of Harry Potter. :) I actually paused the video because the hat you bought looks exactly like the knitting pattern I made based on Hermione's hat from Godric's Hollow.

I love to buy whimsical items from Etsy!

  • I knit, but mostly I've done scarves and a hat for my fiance, which he loves because it fits his oddly large head! I really want to learn to make socks, as he has equally oddly large feet.

  • I buy stuff with owls on :P I love the tiny owl you made and the harry potter and owl picture :)

  • you are so adorable lauren, I love that little red mug!

  • Kinda lame but I make giant paper snowflakes..... yeah.... i have no life...

  • I am a huuuuuge Knitter. And I'm definitely a Process Knitter, as opposed to a Product Knitter. Yes, having something awesome that you created from scratch is great, but the act of making it is so much more rewarding to me.

Your owl canvases are SO CUTE! You should definitely put them on etsy regardless. I will buy one.

  • I'm primarily a sewer. I got a job in my theatre department as student staff in the costume shop working on costumes, and I've learned so much! I got a sewing machine two summers ago and this summer I finally made myself a dress. Since I don't have that much time outside of school work and my job, I don't get to sew for recreation like I'd like to, but hopefully I'll be making my Halloween costume for this year!

When buying, I love hand-made rings!

  • I constantly make pony bead creations. I've made countless bracelets, a purse, bandana, and even started making a full size dress. I was inspired by the rave culture of "kandi kids" and always give my friends these bracelets as friendship bracelets. I love it when they wear them and I hope they feel special that I give them these bracelets that have such an important meaning to me.

  • I used to make candles. I'm usually quite frugal, so if anything, I rarely get stuff from, for instance, DFTBA and I always love getting music!

  • My craft is embroidery. I recently embroidered the HP logo onto the butt of my jeans and I got tons of compliments at school. I made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :3

  • My big craft is crocheting, especially amigurumi. I actually sent off a 10 inch tall Luna Lovegood doll to Amy Snow recently.

  • I love making cards, knitting things like hats ect, sewing stuffed animals, and crocheting.

  • I love making things, my mum has her own craft business so I get it from her. I also have a slight addiction to buying things and copying things to make from etsy :)

  • i have done a bunch of different crafty things through the years most recent is the quilt i made for my bed, which i am lying on at the very second. I normally i like making things for people e.g.a christmas card box in which i put someones present or even a santa sack for my boyfriend as he said he had never had one. I just love things other people have made for me so even the off chance someone i make something for loves it as much i love my stuff make it totally worth it!

  • I love making things too! I bought my first sewing machine at the start of this year and I've had so much fun making clothes and quilts and bags and plushies and various other bits and pieces I made my friend a quilt for her 21st birthday and it was awesome giving it to her because she absolutely loved it. So I know exactly what you mean Lauren!

  • i like zines! they are cool.

  • I love making little plushie monsters. I made the little blue guys that chill in the back of John Green's videos. I like to make them for my friends for their birthdays and holidays and such. They're not the most beautiful things, but they're fun to make!

  • I have so many crafts... I do origami, crochet, finger knit, I make plushies, I'm all over the place.

  • I like to knit. I only just started last year, but I've made a few scarves. I also do latch hook, and some photography and painting. I go to a lot of craft/art fairs every year and I usually end up buying matted photographs, jewelry, and cool little unique trinkets. Needle felting looks like fun. I want a little Henry.

  • @StarTripProductions That is so excellent. They sound like quite the crew. Is it called a crew when it's llamas? Hats should be made for them :P

  • I used to do a lot of different kinds of crafts, and then I started a giant cross stitch 3 years ago. Since then I haven't been able to start anything else, It's just SO HUGE! But It's a beautiful design, and I'm really excited about giving it to my grandparents once I'm finished with it.

  • I love to crochet!!

  • I know what you mean about loving crafts cause crafts make me soooo happy.I make paper flowers and sew a little and I don't sell it but everytime I make something I try and find someone who seems like they're having a bad day and give them a little craft.I love to watch their face light up :)

  • I want to needle felt lol

  • I love handmade things as well! I'm a knitter and one year I attempted to make knitted gifts for all my friends and family, which almost worked but I ran out of time/steam.

I really love buying paintings, but digital and traditional, because I love to paint but I'm not very talented at it so I can really appreciate the time and skill that goes into creating something like that. Same with clothing and things that are sewn because I cannot sew at all.

  • I'm really glad you like my snitch. I enjoyed making it for you :) <3

  • I love making bracelets. At the moment I have obsessed over leather wrap bracelets. I also make typical friendship bracelets. My mom makes a lot more things on her Esty shop. It's LivyLouDesigns if you would be willing to check it out.

  • I absolutely love crafting. I love spending time knitting myself a scarf. I love knowing that I have made every stitch by myself. I love to look up crafts on pinterest and find cool things to make.

  • You're freakin' awesome, Lauren! I make miniature foods and do drawings&paintings:D

  • I knit, make jewelry, do wire crafts, and other random things... Every time there are things that are fair trade I get carried away! Yesterday I bought this adorable handcrafted giraffe handmade by a widow from Guatemala. :)

  • I'm a knitter and crocheter.

  • Crafts make me happy!

  • I don't craft consistently, but I decided when I was making my jewelry for my Luna costume this summer that I want to try more. :) I'm going to start a Ravenclaw scarf as soon as I'm home and have access to knitting needles and yarn. Glad to see a new video from you! :D

  • Lauren your awesome, and always know how to cheer me up :)

  • *furiously knitting a hufflepuff scarf while watching this video*

  • This video made me smile...

I do love crafts...I really enjoy amigurumi but I also knit lace and socks...etc...

I have a weakness for homemade jewelry...especially if it involves glass.

  • My dorm has this thing called crafty Fridays every week, so I've recently been going to that and being a lot more crafty than usual. I'm not super artistically talented but it's so much fun!

  • I'm a fan of when people make jewelry particularly earrings. I only wish I had the patience to make them myself. :-p

  • I want to make stuff but it's all really expensive! Does anyone have any really cheap crafts I could do?

  • I love harry Potter crafts.... and owls 8)

  • BUY ALL THE CRAFTS!!!

  • we did that needle thing once in 5th grade or soo and yeah I broke about 6 of those needles. I'm maybe not that talented when it comes to that xD

  • I loveeee scrapbooking! Combining crafting with memories <3 And hand-making things for people as birthday presents and such :)

  • I feel that way about making stuff to. I love it so much. Whether it's drawing, knitting or making collages, it's something you created out of essentially nothing. And it brings me joy ^_^ I loved your video and it is inspiring me to go make something...so I think I'm gonna go do that...<3

  • Did you have to get a business license to sell things on etsy?

  • i like making cakes does that count as a craft?

  • I've always wanted to sell crafts, because I'm always making them for fun but never making any money off them. One thing I've always had trouble with is how to charge for my time. How do you determine what your time is worth? Obviously you charge for materials, but how do you decide what to charge for your time, too?

  • @Kouin I mostly look on Etsy to see what other people are charging for the same item and decide based on that and how long the specific item took me to make. It's a combination of what people are paying for the same item and what I think is fair for the time, work, and materials I put into it.

  • I really love making paper mache masks. I started out by making a snowy owl one so I could be hedwig at a harry potter premiere, but it sort of evolved. It's my favorite thing to create. I like buying paintings and plush animals that people made. (I can't wait for yours to be back on etsy!) Eventually I plan on selling my paper mache masks, but it's hard to part with them.

  • I love making things >,<. I have a new baby, and decided to stay home to take care of him. With that I don't have the income I'm used to. I don't go out and buy they things I want because I have other responsibilities. I recycle old pallets and make rocket ship bookcases. Or some awesome activity desks. I also knit a lot. I even make my own looms to knit with because I only have two sets of needles :P. I'm broke and crafty. Make due with what I have.

  • I make friendship bracelets, but I very quickly run out of thread and I can't afford to buy more very often! I draw and paint, but not very well, and I enjoy sewing even though I'm not too good at it. Felt bracelets are cool too- you get the felt you showed in your video, tape a thick strand of it, dip it in soapy water and roll it together until you get little felted bangle :)

  • crafting is sooo much fun. <3 i sew and I'm quite into jewellry design lately hehe

  • I love needle felting! I mainly knit though. Would you ever make tutorial videos for some crafty things? And do you ever do wet felting?

  • @RandomSwirlyThings I'm not really sure if I'll do tutorials, as it's very difficult for me to design original patterns to sell and it would mean giving those out for free. If I were better at it, it wouldn't be a big deal to share one or two and show people how to make it but they take months for me to develop. I've never tried wet felting, mostly because I don't have laundry capabilities in my house.

  • i crochet, paint and make friendship bracelets. i love mixing and matching different colours and shades in all 3! it's like people always say orange and green (or any colour combination actually) look ugly together but i'm here to prove them wrong because any colour can match any. i really want to get into knitting and other crafts.. the owl you made is really cute!

  • Your video made me feel crafty. The sad thing is that I have so many tests tomorrow that I can't to anything but learn for them :(.

  • @devilishlypure oh! I thought by alumni art sale that it was an art sale FOR alumni. Not BY alumni. My bad!

  • @ExeptionallyOrdinary Oh! Yeah, their alumni basically take over the street and set up tables where they can sell the things they used their degrees to learn to make. It's pretty cool.

  • Unfortunately, I'm not really crafty at all. The only thing I do is decorate picture frames, like I color them, glue different decoration on them, etc. But they are by far not as cool as your stuff. Also the thing with the needle kind of reminded me of voodoo...lol

  • how is the making an owl/cup of stabbed wool process called? i want to try it.

  • @sammylovesparis Needle felting!

  • @sammylovesparis Needle-felting! :)

  • @AriannaLestrange thank you :)

  • @sammylovesparis Needle felting. (You've probably been told already, though. Just making sure.)

  • Besides drawing, i crochet and sew alot. THe sewing is for cosplay and i crochet hats, scarves, bags, blankets and things of that nature C:

  • I got sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore, so I started knitting myself a Slytherin scarf. I made my own pattern, including a patch on each end that has a shield with an S-shaped snake on it, and I am nearly finished knitting. It has been really fun to see my creation take form.

  • crafts make me soooo happy <3 I'm always looking for crafty tumblr's, I can't believe I wasn't following you yet! my latest project is amigurumi :3 I was always very creative as a kid, and lately I've picked up that habit again, and it has made my life so much better.

  • @watchoutfornargles Same here! I'm so glad I got back into it. Not just for little kids and grandmas! I love amigurumi. I haven't made as many of those since I'm trying to make my own patterns for things to sell and I failed at figuring out my own amigurumi patterns. I don't do the math well enough.

  • Ahh I am way into craft making, I love drawing, working with clay, and really anything. So I squee'ed in agreement quite a bit. Recently I've made ornamental cupcakes, a Halloween candy jar, and some painted bottles. (One Butterbeer design!) I will try anything!

  • I have no idea how to craft.... I sort of just start and see what happens. So everything looks quite thrown together. The thing I do most often is repurpose old clothes...etc into cushions. And I don't have a sewing machine, so I do it all by hand! Yays!

  • @CrazyClaire88 That's awesome!! Being creative and doing whatever is the best.

  • I like to make my own clothes, I also crochet knit, i have just started cross stitch, i do long stitch. I have a bunch of unspun wool so i might look for a felting needle and give it a go XD your Owl is sooo adorable! Figs + Ginger are amazing!! and those canvases with the HP pages are so cool!

  • I knit and do canvass tapestry I'm doing a harry potter themed tapestry at the moment with patterns in the colours of the four houses :)

  • All your crafts are adorable! I wish I had more talent so I could do more myself. I love making Origami, but it's kinda hard because I can't find the right type of paper where I live. I also tried crocheting a while back, but I don't have enough patience. The thing I always buy is cute jewellery :)

  • Cookies; where art meets science.

  • I love Figs and Ginger!

  • @gonzolux They're the best!

  • I used to knit, it was so calming and I'd love to start again. Your owl is adorable.

  • I currently started crocheting, I've crocheted a Hufflepuff beanie for myself and a beanie out of this awesome multi-colored yarn for my best friend. I am also crocheting a Hufflepuff scarf and a Hufflepuff blanket. I too am a Pottermore official Hufflepuff if you couldn't tell haha. I also like to draw and paint. I've painted a huge Wicked Playbill and a Mulan themed painting. Things like that. =)

  • I am staring to do crocheting so making a scarf for my mom, I etch mirrors would love to sand blast but to expensive. I like to buy art a lot like the badger piece you got, I kind of just try new things and see how long it can keep my attention

  • my attention span isnt long enough to do crafting. :(

  • Lauren! I love your short hair!!! =) And I would definitely buy that cute little owl!

  • I erm make plushies, and I do needle point. I enjoy buying artwork, jewelry, cuddly things in gereral, and candy!

ps my friend is a griffelpuff mhmm she ended up with 2 pottermores

  • i want that owl so so so bad!! <3 id deff pay alot for that little guy <3

  • OMG thats adorable!

  • I recently restarted an old craft. In my entrepreneurship class, we were given $5 and had to start a business with it. I'm making friendship bracelets. I also bought some seed beads and started making some unique beaded bracelets. They're really fun to make, except threading the needle is always hard!

  • I work in fabric store , every one i work with sews and knits etc. I have made the assumption that I am the only one who does nothing crafty. It drives me crazy that I cant sew or any thing else. Its extremely irritating working in such a creative place and not having a crafty bone in your body :) I love buy baby crafts for all my friends that having little ones or already have them ... just too stinkin cute to pass up.

  • Every time you (or anyone) mentions Rhode Island in a video I get super excited because no one ever goes to RI.

  • go puffs! so proud of being a hufflepuff!

  • I've been w/you and watching u grow through the years. But, something is so different w/ u now. Can't quite put my finger on it but if I were another woman and felt this woman's intermission feeling, I might have to say that you are beautifully with child??? Aye???

  • @1canheat Nope.

  • @1canheat maybe her recent marriage is what you are pickin up on?

  • @1canheat I'm sure her husband made a video before they were married about:

    1. How she is not pregnant

    2. How it's rude to ask in the first place.

She's just happy! She just got married!!

  • @MeWithAGuitar Thank you. :)

  • I like to make beaded jewelry and I am starting to make these little purses made out of old jeans. I love love love plushies. They make me happy. I also make cupcakes.

  • I used to knit, which I really enjoy, but I don't have a ton of time right now with applying to colleges and all, but hopefully I'll have time to pick that up again in the winter. I like to sew, too, but I'm not very good at it.

  • I'm an ALMOST graduated Apprentice Goldsmith. I actually met you and Matt in Madison, WI when ya'll swung through this most recent summer. That was a great show. I like doing jewelry and I found out I am some talent for hand engraving (honestly if I could find someone who would pay me to engrave stuff all day, I would be sitting high on the hog....). I've been working on my final project for months now, but I am almost finished.

  • I do a lot of things, but lately i hav taken up wood carving. I've been making wands out of braches around my house and university, and I'm currently making a wooden stake for my halloween costume. I also create abstract drawings with sharpies.

  • I do ceramics =) I am working on an owl tea set right now and have made seven pieces on the wheel so far this semester. I love arts and crafty things and have fun doodling cute lil creatures and I think your things are adorable!! =)

  • Doing what you want--what makes you happy--is very important. That is what I want most now, because my job is so far from what I want, it is almost unbearable. I want to create things. I want to be able to wear the same pair of jeans every day without being judged, sit in a room with a pen and paper, and create. I hate that having a fun job is *impractical* to most people.

  • I draw and paint... I had an etsy shop for a while but it's been empty because I haven't been very inspired. I am getting a drawing tablet soon so I will be able to do more art, I hope. Thinking of starting an online comic too! But yeah, I'm glad to see you crafting! Fun stuff! Kinda inspires me to get back into my art...

  • I love all your stuff!! I wish I was as talented.

Talk of crafts making me happy, the favorite craft I ever bought was a golden snitch necklace at Aeternitas. It's made of metal and is absolutely beautiful - I've worn it almost every day ever since, just because it's a great way of letting everyone know that I'm an HP fan (you know, on those odd days where I wear a Percy Jackson or Wicked or Hunger Games t-shirt instead of HP). And everyone at Quidditch tournaments always says they love it!

  • OH MY GOSH YOU STILL HAVE THE DIE! AHHHHHHH :D

I am no longer in woodshop (which is probably for the best ( I had a LOT of accidents happen around me and to me in there with the heavy wood and sharp blades)). BUT I love to draw. It's just something that I've constantly been doing every since I was very little and I just can't stop!

I love to buy buttons. I have an entire hat specifically for buttons. It's almost completely covered (I hope to buy more buttons from you this fall).

  • omg I love crafts and DIY and hearing you making so much makes me love you just so much more that can miss creating my own stuff. I don't have a "craft" but when I get the time, I love sewing and making plushies. I've also done cards and scrapbooking but school keeps me away from so much of it!! and yayy hufflepuff! I'm a hufflepuff on pottermore too!! :D

  • I will definitely buy a harry potter henry owl work of pulchritude! Please sell them! Harry Potter means so much to me and I love that you and your crafts appreciate that.

  • I knit and make cards with stamping

  • I love the little owls and I'm so tempted to buy something from Figs & Ginger. Everything is so beautiful!

As far as crafts, I really love to crochet, although I don't really have much time for it and I used to scrapbook. I'm an illustration major myself so that is my main focus but I'd love to get into more crafty stuff.

  • @dailychores Their stuff is so wonderful. Definitely check it out! And that's awesome that you're an illustration major. That's one thing I wish I were better at. I would love to be better at creating and drawing adorable characters I could make into plushies, but I kind of have to get lucky to get something worth naming.

  • I get really snazzy and enthusiastic when making friendship bracelets, and Nick-and-Norah-esque mix CDs (hand-written track list, hand-drawn cover art, decorating the CD itself, the whole nine yards). I'm also learning how to crochet!

  • I'm super impressed with your crafting ability. I also love this video cause it really does express how I feel when I craft. I also mostly craft for other people, so seeing their reactions just absolutely makes all the hard work put into the craft just so worth it.

I started out making jewlery, and while thats still my "main craft", I've definitely branched out. My latest creation is a tablet-case replica of River Song's diary from DW. Im like you were I want to learn as many crafts as I can

  • I know how to crochet. I enjoy doing it. HOWEVER, for some reason I only rarely crochet anything.

  • I was actually knitting a hat while watching this video. =)

  • Your crafts are so cute!

In my family, we are always crafting or painting. I do a lot of altered book pages which is where you take an old book, and just go crazy on it! I've also been getting into doing some small stain glass pieces.

  • Your crafts are beautiful. The little owls are adorable.

I could not stop looking at your neckless. It's beautiful! What was the artists' Etsy/company?

I don't make anything, but occasionally draw (it's been a while), but a friend fo mine from high school makes jewelry and gives new birth to old and tried items - meowrissa on Etsy. I personally think she's quite talented. As for purchasing, I don't have one thing, but when I see it and like it, I want it to no end ahaha.

  • @edgehaedjr Thank you!! :D Information about Figs & GInger (who made my necklace) is in the video description.

  • @devilishlypure Thanks. And I did see it, but what I heard was "Facing Ginger". Just needed clarification. :)

  • If you like whimsical, animal art, have you seen Kelly Vivanco? She's awesome and her work is so dreamy and vibrant. And she does a cute comic about hamsters called Patches. Google it!

  • @kaitm88 I'd never seen it before but I looked it up and her stuff is so adorable! Totally up my alley. Thanks so much for the recommendation!!

  • I draw and paint, but I also do some not very good needlework :) can I send you art for your wall?

  • @FantasticBrina Absolutely! I'm adding my PO Box to the video description.

  • @devilishlypure Yay :) I think I will send you something :) By the way, I think it's really great that you actually reply to comments!

  • @FantasticBrina Thank you so much!! That would be really awesome. I'm excited to see it. Replying to comments is fun! I like chatting about making things.

  • I want your crafts.... They're awesome! I love the collages and the little owl you made :) you've inspired me to start crafting more... :)

  • @StarTripProductions Are they French llamas?

  • So the Pottermore email came then :)

  • @StarTripProductions Do the llamas have names?

  • I love making things but alas I am broke so all I can afford to do is crochet scarves with the yarn I find in the garage

  • Awww Lauren, you're so awesome and SO talented. Really! I wish we were friends, and we could sit and craft all day long. (I love crafting but sometimes find I get lonely.) I needle felt too! (I LOVE your owl, it's so good!!!) I do animals too, but have the same problem as you - it takes so long. I find the really fine work (faces etc.) to be hard - I'm still working on it! I also do cardmaking, sewing (teddy bears), quilting, photography, embroidery, etc etc!! Keep up the good work!

  • Oh, and I just have to also say that I really enjoy hearing you talk about why you love crafting. You can absolutely tell by your finished products the amount of love and joy that you put into your work!!! It gives it a very special quality.

  • I love hand made crafts SO much. Whenever I go on Etsy I just feel the need to buy every other item that I see.

  • I don't do anything major crafty but I love just to draw and paint posters. The walls of my room are just covered with posters and art from Harry Potter, other books, and random stuff.

  • Wait... what? I feel like I need a tutorial for this wool felting business. I am so intrigued how you get something so adorable out of a piece of fluff.

  • @chemistryflavored I learned how to do it from watching tutorials online! They're everywhere.

  • I croquet and I LOVE buying jewelry!

  • I really want to make my own art to put above my bed. I consider myself crafty, but I am at a loss of what to do with the wall in my bedroom. It's pretty big space, I have a king sized bed. I just want something fun and colorful. Any ideas?

  • its crookshanks :)

  • hey lauren. your felt owl is super cute!!! I really like to make costumes. I like the idea of figuring out how things would look and then making them. I really like it when i can used recylced and reused materials too, it's fun.

  • I would buy an owl collage! they are adorable!

  • Definitely going to need to bring extra money when I come to your show for one of those Henry owl canvases! And there's a video response on the way :)

  • I'm kinda like you in that I bounce back and forth from craft to craft. I just love learning new things and doing something both fun and creative. I did a lot of technical theatre, so a lot of my crafting tends to be along the lines of woodworking and prop building and costume making, even though I haven't done anything theatre related in a year. And I'm also trying to learn how to draw.

I love to buy drawings and paintings other people have done It's just so much fun seeing what they create
