  • haha! nice , was that music playing in background , chillaxing?

  • not really sure how big this boat is so its kind of hard to tell if the seas are actually rough or not. i work on a 300 foot supply boat. rough weather is awsome for me. gets my heart pumping unless your wanting to sleep. its not so bad if your bunk is forward to aft.

  • This is one of Atlantic Towing Ltd's boats. Either a UT722(Hawk or Eagle) 246 feet, or a UT722L(Kingfisher or Osprey) 264feet. So this is pretty rough, but not near as bad as it gets out there. :)

  • Yer right skip....UT722...this video was done while i was doin' a workterm on the Hawk in the winter of '06....in my opinion she is one of the best boats ever built

  • I just signed off Hawk two days ago, ER cadet. Didn't want to leave her, I agree about her being the best.

  • How many tons? My osv is 107 feet long and 98 tons. We sail out of Dulac,La.

  • it will sink

  • Man, what is it about these clips of the high seas, I just cant get enough. Me - I've never experienced anything like this.

Am I crazy or does anyone else find this type of footage relaxing?

    Thank you for sharing this.

  • I get some of my best work done aboard boats :D especially if they're bobbing

  • You're not the only one brother! :) I enjoy them too

  • "Goodbye Stranger". I love that song. Good choice!

  • tks, i worked on the drilling rigs for 7 years but the people on the supply boats are the real sailors. placentia bay nl.

  • i am working this christmas and this pretty much be what i will have to put up with while on watch basically known as shit.

  • Yeah, I recognize that picture. Turn the music up start the nervous whistle. I do that myself when she starts to break deep.

  • Goodbye Stranger! nice. where was this, SWP? Shitty Weather Place, aka SouthWest Pass?

  • That was on the Grand Banks in the winter of 2006....just another stormy day in the North Atlantic.

  • yikes! yeah i was pacific fleet in the Navy. we've only heard about how rough the atlantic was. but you gotta love the life tho, huh? salt is in my blood...
