2.1.0 has been released to german Pre+ phones, and has been ported to all Pre phones already. and best thing: its legal! there are step by step tutorials already...

just waiting for palm to release kernel source code (takes about 2 weeks after doctor-release) so there will be overclock kernels for 2.1.0

I found Ares always limiting. It was its own framework, and you'd get to the point where if you wanted to actually do anything cool with your app you would have to download the project and continue on in Eclipse, what a nightmare.
