I keep hearing this is a limited run/edition thing. I think a lot of people are going to want this then what I hear is being produced. I hope it is put into regular production.
i just wan`t to say , yesterday was my AFD day , and i get mine , WOOOOOW , i love you , marshall amps are the coolest shit in rock n roll i love the AFD its a baby like no other , the sound is so deep ( i use it with greenback celestions)
You Guys are the greatest
and of course thank you Slash , You are brilliant , i cannot find words .....
Wow, maybe if I stick a piece of metal through My nose and other parts of my body, I can be a FREAK too! I could evolve to a higher level like the natives in the jungles of Kenya and New Guinea...
I love that they put a noisegate IN the amp. Before that, the only metal amp I know of that has a built in noisegate was the Fender Metalhead and that amp didn't last long on the market. Noisegate circuitry should be standard issue on any amp used to play metal. I didn't use a Noisegate when I was young, but I appreciate having one now in my MXR Fullbore.
I love that this isn't the usual sales patter, it's an intelligent and detailed discussion about the amp that has taken into account the online community reaction to the announcement of the amp. Very much UNLIKE Nick Bowcott's salesman Spiel. Well Done Chris and the genius that is Santiago. With this and the AFD, Marshall are in a very cool place right now.
@odgeUK I was thinking the same thing too, positive and more respectable direction for Marshall to go in, seems like the guys at Marshall intend on returning the company to its rightful place as the world's best amplifiers.
@insidemarshall Could you just explain a little more about the booster? Is it basically a copy of Yngwie's DOD overdrive? So can Yngwie(or anyone looking to get his sound) plug straight into the amp(no overdrive pedal) and immediately get the Yngwie Malmsteen tone? And is there an Yngwie cab to go with it too? Either way, this amp looks genuinely awesome, and I will be buying one a.s.a.p!
