- It is of a very low quality, your spelling, the product, everything.
-Calling that a shell is a bit of an insult to people who make real fireworks.
-While I support free access to information, this is just stretching it too much.
this isnt a shell... shells are projected into the sky by lift powder, then make a report (usually with stars, but report for starters).
this is basically a report... NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH BOMB (using the term "bomb" gives those complaining douche-bags another reason to ban all pyrotechnic (fireworks) ingredients and compositions (the "powder and stuff")
I'm guessing english isn't his first language, so exact meanings of different types of pyro casings may not be so obvious. I'm betting he meant "tubes" but couldn't find the right word.
That realy isn't a shell!... If you make some type of firecracker it will be better to fill it with homemade explosive (FP or something similarity)- it will be louder!
may take a lot of work but will look and sound great if prepared well. They are explosive though (proper magnesium compounds are used in rockets and real shells) so make sure you have a long proper fuse and an ignitor (like a pad of black powder mixed with icing sugar and a dot of water, or some syrup) Lastly... make sure everything is very compact and will have a hard time getting out. Thats what makes your average firework go bang. Otherwise you will end up with a fountain of sparks.
Also... try making your own powders. Or creating a mix, black powder isnt the greatest. Try a magnesium compound powder, if you cant get hold of one, crush the compound on sparklers to a powder and use that...
Make sure the tape (use a paper styled tape if you can, masking tape is good) is evenly wrapped so as not to create a weak point. Really re-inforce those ends. I often would layer about 50 cardboard bungs (single layers of shaped card) in each end with a dot of glue on each until they were rock hard. Takes a while but the bang is worthwhile.
the powder really needs to be compacted in. however... the basic compartments are correct. As a pyromaniac and an ex firework builder (i now like to find other methods where there is perhaps more anticipation involved, also... not quite got the money for large scale stuff) I would say that the basic firecracker tube is correct.
hey dumbass the force would just rip the paper from the bottom reinforce the entire thing especially the ends or else they will just pop off and that wont be a loud pop either also flash powder is a lot better and choose a better design for the placement of the wick like putting it in so it will give greater compression, thus bigger boom.
pressing powder will give the powder a smaller surface area and create a slower burning of the powder. Firecrackers are a stupid thing to make especially when you take powder from other fireworks. Besides it's not even a shell.
ya i guess the music is kinda not suited for a tutorial but i could care less nice vid its better than most of the horrilbe firework tutuorials that ppl tired to make thats on tube
