@MissAvatar2011 well my parents are from hyderabad. though i never lived there, i have visited many times, as i still have relatives there. but i have been all over india, bombay, delhi, even gujarat, and all by rail too. i was pretty impressed by bombay and delhi alot, as modern cities. but you cant compare those cities with other cities in india, like hyd, which tend to be more traditional over all.
@MissAvatar2011 first off thats not always true. plenty of villagers are usually immigrants to the west, from punjab, gujjuland and the south. people from old city urban ghettos are just as conservative, just as traditionally mindset as the people found in the villages. and i speak from personal experience when i say that, given my own relatives and their idiotic backwardness. because im american they call me 'pagal', when in reality its they who are the laughing stock of the world.
@MissAvatar2011 why do people assume villages are more backward, immorral etc? when compared to urban ghettos? in villiages they have panchayat's which are very strict and everyone knows each other.
I am so proud of my parents.... having raised 2 daughters before a son.... and never discriminated....... Now I am married and still a priority for my parents.... am expecting my first child and I hope its a princess.....
i use to concentrate on the negativity of sexism due to cultural influence and infanticide. but things do change, now in america females are better in school, healthier bc we take care of ourselves, and more determined in the workforce. alot of us are single moms and STILL we make it happen. we've were nothing and NOW we are even more valuable. the equal pay hasnt happened yet, bc our government is full of bullshit, but we will make it to the top someday.
i have daughter and I Love her sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much but i too was asking for boy in first week becuase i didnt have sisters ...i used to play lotto i have struggling with work but now know i am millionair trillionair coz i have girl!
