Feels good - a little pressure where the 9 cell extends out, but nothing huge, I barely notice it. Feels good.

do not get a 9 cell!!!! whatever you do, it defies the whole point of the slimmest 15inch dell. i have and the battery life is shit. i would love a 6cell nice and small.

Don't know why you wouldn't want a 9-cell - provides for better air circulation under the laptop, a lot more battery life, and props it up for comfortable typing.

However, if you're looking for slim, don't go with the 9. However, if you want a ton of battery life, go with the 9.

hey, i jus got my m1530 bout 3 weeks back, my config is as follows.. 2.0ghz 3gb ram 250 gb harddisk 6 cell lithium battery 8600 gt video card rest pretty much std i wanna ask if i can upgrade my current proccesor to a 2.6ghz proccesor and can i replace my 6 cell battery to a 9 cell.. does dell give options to upgrade later? by that way great video...informative,simple and clean (almost...iam an Indian ..i found tha last part offensive) take care take care

Yes, you can, but I don't know if the cost would be worth it. If you want it to be cheaper, you'd have to return your system and re-order it.

It can run games fine on low, the only game I've had trouble with on low is Kane and Lynch Dead Men, but I just want it to smooth out the little kinks on other games. I can still run Halo 2, Guitar Hero III, GRID, and others just fine though...

Depends. If you like real-estate, yes it's worth it. I love my LED LCD though, it treats me very nicely (1440x900 resolution).

My first order which included a delayed screen (Normal 1440x900) and a 6-cell (which, at the time had a major delay) took about a month before I canceled for the Summer Savings deal. I had the order expedited due to my troubles, and I received it in a week and a half. 6-20 to 7-2.

How much bloatware is on the system and can you ask them for the synaptics touch pad?

If you order over the phone or with chat, I'm sure you can maybe request the part, but they won't guarantee a Synaptics touch pad.

In all honesty, my Alps touchpad is not that bad, but I'd rather have a Synaptics.

There wasn't much bloatware on the system, mainly Napster, and some free internet offers thankfully. You should go through MSConfig though and clean that out thoroughly.

I mean, it's not air, but I was carrying it in a cheap messenger bag and it was fine. If you're playing some games (Such as Call of Duty, or World of Warcraft), get the M1530. If you're only going to be browsing the internet and creating word documents, get the M1330.

I love my M1530 though, it's a beauty. Definitely get the LED LCD and the 9-cell battery, and you'll be set.
