Nice. I'm currently digging out from under 10 years of accumulated shit. All MY fault. You can see some of it in some of my videos as I slowly shift it around and whittle it away to Goodwill or the dumpster.

I understand! Have you thought about calling Oprah's "Clean Up Your House Tour" or the ladies from "How Clean Is Your House," Kim and Aggie? I would, but the very small size of my place makes it fairly manageable for just myself and a friend or two. What helps me is someone coming over, occupying my computer and cracking the proverbial whip. I can talk to them and they can play on my computer while I clean. But, that's just me. I loathe cleaning, but it has to be done.

I don't like getting rid of (or throwing away) things if they are in perfectly good condition unless someone can or will make use of it. I don't feel guilty taking things to charity, so that's what I've been doing. But, if something is good and I just put them in the dumpster, I feel it's a waste. Things like the toaster that had a cord with exposed wire, I have no problem with snipping the cord off and trashing it.

Goodwill or Salvation Army. When they go on vacation give up some boxes and random items. Your mom is good but her memory is not perfect. She couldn't list all of her inventory on demand. Use that vulnerability to her advantage.
