It all did start in 1936 with Mussolini's invasion of Ethiopia (Abyssinia then), and the absolute failure of other nations to really do anything about it pretty much inspired Hitler to do as he pleased. He marched into the Ruhr with an army so weak that they were ordered to retreat immediately should the French give any kind of resistance (and even if they fought, they didn't have the resources to put up a defense for more than a day). Basically they let him win.

I remember as a little kid in the 50's people saying that Hitler was OK until he attacked his neighbors. He put people back to work and almost miraculously restored Germany to prosperity. Many Americans said openly that as long as HItler was "only" killing Gypsies, Jews, Homosexuals and Communists we had no reason to interfere. It was actually called "KdF-Wagen" back then, and Wolfsburg was called "Stadt des KdF-Wagen". After the war, Wolfsburg was finally called Wolfsburg and the KdF-Wagen became the Volkswagen. The beetle was designed as a cheap car for everyone (KdF organized a lot of activities for the German people - the beetle, vacation and so on), just another part of nice propaganda to keep everyone quiet.

plus, many European countries were just getting out of a Depression too, like the US. so they didnt care what he did and what he "annexed".
Versailles was genius and could have prented Hitler and any other potential pyschos to do whatever they wanted, but France and other countries were just concerned about recovering

Unfortunately, that is true. It all did start in 1936 with Mussolini's invasion of Ethiopia (Abyssinia then), and the absolute failure of other nations to really do anything about it pretty much inspired Hitler to do as he pleased. He marched into the Ruhr with an army so weak that they were ordered to retreat immediately should the French give any kind of resistance (and even if they fought, they didn't have the resources to put up a defense for more than a day). Basically they let him win.

yes, i was more commenting on the price paid by the people for allowing themselves to be emotionally drawn in by political rhetoric, without giving thought to what of their character and humanity would be destroyed to get those things he promised.

Hitler tried to avoid war with England and France at all costs but they refused a proper agreement. They instigated war because England and America did not want to lose their world power to Germany. Because German land was stolen. Get it? Stolen meaning taken away from Germany. Meaning the Allies took the land away from Germany and now you want us to think Hitler was evil because he took back the stolen land? Look at the size of Germany before world war 1. England and France did not care about Poland. They did not want Hitler to build a world empire which he almost did. They were afraid of him so they instigated the war. Remember it was England and FRance who declared war :)

@Nationalist1912 No, no, I understand that the land was unfairly taken away from Germany after World War I, that is one of the reasons this whole mess started in the first place. The Treaty of Versailles was a terrible document. Not only did it screw the Germans, but it screwed all the Eastern Europeans. You cant have a world empire and not want war and be evil......world domination is what every villain wants. England and France didnt care about Poland, thats true. In all honesty, Hitler started the war. After all, he did fight Poland. Yeah, they lost in a few weeks, but it was still a fight. @Nationalist1912 any other occupied Nazi country. Hitler declared war on the US, the US was not the aggressor, Hitler clearly called war on them first. Hitler wanted to rule Europe, that is a fact. Ruling the world, I dont think he wanted that, but he did want to take over Europe, his actions speak loudly. He even was driving towards the Middle East obviously to use up the oil. Hitler was far from being an innocent victim.

America funding France and telling them to keep fighting. America building up the English army to fight Germany. I dont know where you can come off saying these things seeing as how Germany itself is ashamed of him. You are making the Allies out to be how the Nazis are, or how the Soviets are, willing to kill you if you dont agree with their policies.
