What is in your little cooper pot next to your pressure cooker? I have one that was left to me by my grandmother but i never figured out what she used it for.
I had trouble with my pressure cooker not sealing either so I took out the seal and put it in with the writing upside down and it sealed properly. I have the elite cooker. Hope this suggestion helps.
I ihave this cooker and I am having problems with it coming to pressure . I was told that it should not have steam escaping while it is cooking. Mine has done that from day one, so I thought this was what it was supose to do. Did you have that issue? Also, I have had mine just 2 years this Mother's Day and all of the writing as gone off the lid in 3 months. No harsh detergents or dishwasher. I have to keep it on the stove under my range hood so steam will not build up on the ceiling.
Can't wait to try this recipe... I have a stove top Pressure Cooker... was afraid of it.. but now I'm feeling pretty good...
Catch my video on Chicken Caccatorie and Pumpkin Roll! We multi tasked while making the rolls for Christmas.. we cooked our families dinner in the Pressure Cooker.. yummo
I have this cooker and I like it too! I tried the recipe yesterday and my family enjoyed it! The gravy was good over smashed taters and so hearty this time of year.
Can you please do some more pressure cooker videos? I just bought this same cooker and I would like to get some other ideas. Also on the golden mushroom pork chops how can you make the gravy thicker? Would I just not add a whole can of water or is there another trick? Thank you. I always enjoy your videos.
@lidsman2221 I had planned on a few more because I use it a lot. I also do my salsa chicken in my pressure cooker as well as pot roast, bbq pulled pork loin and chicken stock. I have made meatballs in this with great success. If you would like a thicker gravy. Remove the meat to a separate bowl and add a cup of water that you have mixed with 2 tablespoons of corn starch. Add slow and stir until it reaches your desired thickness. Thanks for watching! Noreen
Noreen, i am speechless. This meal looks absolutely amazing. i'm a gravy person too, there can never be tooo much of it. And those dinosaur chops...! damn. You rock girl!
i have one of those Pressure cooker's,mine is made by Tefal here in Australia, very expensive,i paid nearly $300,i brown my meat off in it 1st,and onion's,i don't believe in using canned soup's,you can make your own gravy from the delicious juices from the meat and veg, more natural, and better tasting, but that's just the way i do it,i enjoyed your video,i like to see how other's cook
@BLBMZ oh boy you won't believe how great they are AND if you go to HSN today it is their special value of the day. Today is June 12, 2010. They have this on sale for 89.90 I cannot believe how cheap this is go buy one now! Noreen
@kcsammi HSN has them today as their special value, they are selling for 89.90 much cheaper than I got mine 2 years ago. I cant tell you how great they are, you must try one yourself.
I've never bought that soup, is it like the French Onion but with the addition of flour in the broth? It's so easy to make the French Onion, just butter, onions and whatever you like for a beef broth/stock.
@VivianRinSC No, this is not like french onion, it is more like a cross between a cream of mushroom with a hearty beef flavor. It is all its own, there is nothing else like it that I have found. Give it a try!
I want one of those cookers! I love kitchen gadgets especially the kinds that save me time and thinking. I do have to tell you it's kinda cruel what you do...fixing me a plate of such ymminess and I can't eat it! lol. Plus you have me thinking on how to make my own "golden mushroom" recipes. I'm trying to get away from most if not all canned goods. Check out BPA contamination. BPA is even in the lids of our canning jars. :( But there they're not in direct contact with our foods. Nothing is safe
@VivianRinSC I know all about the BPA and I try not to use things too often, but as you say, nothing is safe anymore, they want us all dead from something. ANYWAY, you should try this pressure cooker. I turned on HSN this morning and they have this as their value of the day for 89.90. I use this one a lot and at this price actually considered purchasing another. Give it a try! Noreen
@atticus9799 Oh, more cruelty! lol. I have a firm agreement with hubs to not buy anything over $50 without agreeing together to get it. We're having work done on our building so money is flowing out fast. I've been wanting one of these for months now. Usually they're around $200 so this is a great deal... Should I beg, plead, pester my wonderful hubs for it? I'll find the link and email it to him, then do my best to not say anything unless he brings it up... lol.
cool..never seen an electric pressure cooker b4......we do deer shoulder in cream of mushroom and fresh mushrooms in a slow cooker for 12 hours........thanks....that looked good
@ironhead41 Yum! venison! This would be the perfect thing to cook it in and when I woke up this morning, HSN had this cooker on special of the day for 89.90. I highly recommend it! Noreen
