@thnk4urself thanks for the reply and the tips. I will definitely give it a try. I just feel like you aren't as connected to the car in shift2 as it feels in gt5. I will try your settings tho. Have you played dirt3? I hear good things about it... I do want to try getting into PC sins but I only have a laptop right now, and I'm in the process of designing a cockpit to build. Don't want to just buy one. I have a lot of different ideas. Trying to find a power car seat right now to use.

I want to get into pc sim racing but its going to take a large investment. Im guessing at least 6 grand so I'm still on ps3 with gt5 and g27 which I love. Got it cuz of this show. Lol. Can you guys recommend another game comparable to gt5 physics? I don't want to get burned again like I did with nfs shift2... sucks!!!

@arynbeau well pretty much any sim is comparable to gt5 if you use the right tires. in real life and most sims, the "sports soft" in gt5, are actually like soft racing slicks, and street tires are more like "comfort hard/medium". GT5 is actually very realistic if you match your tires with what they should be instead of what the game claims they are. I would start with LFS or rfactor. LFS is probably the most similar, physics, graphics, & accessibility

@arynbeau you hate shift 2? can I ask you to try my wheel settings? it really makes a huge difference. it's unplayable with the default settings but I find it fun with the right wheel settings and with certain cars it's fun. use these:

steering lock- 720, all deadzones - 0%, FFB- 100% steering sensitivty- 80%, speed sensitive steering- 40% throttle/brake sensitivity- 6%. I set it to feel as much like GT5/netkar pro as possible. I think it's a huge improvement. there's less of a learning curve.

actually, even if this sounds rude, this show has always been a bit biased towards the forza series. PD, since it is its competition, releases a lot more free and paid content and more substantial updates than turn10, but it almost never makes the news, even when GT5 sold 8m copies and forza4 only 1.94m.
