  • the influence of the Ghost of Hank Williams is all over this song.

  • i dont know but i think there is another slow country song similar to this one by carl perkins. perhaps the one i mean is this one, but im not sure and searching for it. has anyone an idea?

  • @sunzsu Could it be "Turn Around?" Another great slow one by Carl.

  • Carl is one of the VERY few artists whose R+R I can enjoy listening to. He was a great singer AND great lead guitar player. It still seems sad to me that the music industry timing with almighty dollar emphasis steered him away from continuing in the vein of this recording. There were all too few who could do this REAL country music that well.

  • It makes no sense that Carl was never a superstar in country music during the 50's and 60's. How do you get more country than this?? The man can deliver the hardcore twang just as much as Hank or George. Carl should have had a great country career like Jerry Lee and Conway did.

  • Carl had a awesome voice. He just sounds like Hank Sr. here! Interesting stuff!

  • Carl was very influenced by Hank Williams at this particular time in his career.

  • Damn, he played country music like the best of them...

  • love carl's rock & country songs

  • you can't beat Carl Perkins. Not only did He transform Rock & roll, but he also changed country. He imitated steel guitar licks, and was accomplsihed in various country guitar styles. Awesome.!*

  • Great, great Perkins...the best...Saludos desde Argentina.
