Extending carb Velosity stack through the cowl MAY cause flooding,sputtering & flameout when throttling down from speed. I didn't want to make any unnessesary adjustments so I thought about it. DUH...when throttling down vacuum is reduced greatly therefore air is no longer pulled down the stack as it should and instead slips over it. I saved a few bucks by fashioning a tunnel ram from clear plastic (see it at 0:42 sec) instead of buying an angled stack. IT WORKS GREAT !
Cool plane, Im building a Nitro Planes Hellcat and I have the same motor for it. So are you happy with the motor? What prop you running?

The engine itself runs great. The elecrontic ignition how ever is only of fair quality. I only got about 8 hrs of flight time out of my first one.
The Prop is a 16X8 APC.

@blackwolf47 oh really, did you wrap the ignition in foam, I think the ignition modules are very fragile to vibration.
