I think they should've done one about Evan's Dad. Because, in the alternative ending, Evan dies when he was a baby so none of it ever happened, which meant that Evan's Dad never died either, so they should've done one about him instead of the one's that were unrlated.

There was no need to make any sequals to the 1st film. The 1st film was AMAZING, original, gripping, emotional and chilling but then the industry had to make sequals as usual that ruin it. I have seen the 2nd and its just mainly a generic horror, very similar to the 1st. If they just left it with the 1st it would make it an even more chilling standalone.

Hey, I never thought, the butterfly effect 2 and 3 were very bad, the only worthwhile was 1, but a film about the beginning of everything was the father of Evan, I think that would be worth even ended in the psychiatrist, might have been much better than the 2 where there is nothing valuable or is it just blood.

@Zero0mfg Yes the 2nd one was crappy, but u won't be dissapointed with the 3rd. i guarantee. It has such a surprising ending which i will not spoil. But if you don't like thrillers that much then u probaly won't want to watch it.

@Pull0utBoy the butterfly effect, as in the movies, is actually a desease, oftenly caused by a tumor or something, so the person who is sick can "time travel" in their mind, changing the past, but also creating alternative futures in the present/future.. hope that answered your question ^^

sorry to spoil, but the killer is his sister jenna, who he went in the past to save from their burning house. she had an incestous love for him, so she killed the girls in his life that threatened to take away her love, so he went back in the past and locked her in her room during the fire and saved his parents. afterwards everything went better for him and elizabeth and had a daughter named Jenna...

This will be a good movie if he was himself the killer, just forget why he kills peoples and try to return to the past to save peoples he loves and then at the end realises the all thing and discovers why he killed them.
And finally let a suspense to the spectator with an non-explicit scene so the peoples can image themselves if he gonna accept the truth and stop returning to the past and live with those murders in the head, or commit suicide before the all story happen.

this is more like a horror movie. masked man killing people and the guy goes back in time to save them? wtf?? the first one was amazing and it had a good storyline. this one is just plain stupid. ashton kutcher needs much more recognition for his role in the first butterfly effect.
