@spicychick1987 ah not what i meant XD the effect showed in the video is a plugin for after effects called evolution. it takes a youtube tutorial and a decent torrent site to aquire and learn how to do, mabye not even the tutorial if u feel like playing with it. I was asking if you were kidding about going to college to learn that. i fully understand your art addiction and would understand if you were going to college to learn how to DRAW that. hope that clears that up. gl at college.

@sethekkproductions well...its hard to find jobs these days. i haven't able land a job since 2008, often they said they won't hire me b/c im deaf and didn't have a degree :-/ ... That why I am going to college to get degree, to help me raise my chance to able land a job. I thought he made very good use of VC's evolution package. i remember seeing a tutorial on how to do a continuous growth of Flourishes that seemed just like this, but mattycan18 is right about the Riot Gear Ink Splash. Happy Editting 8)

its not bad... the end title should of "revealed" not just 'been there' and the ink explosion at the end doesnt match with the colour grading of the piece. and are the flourishes meant to be out of focus? because even with the end title the ink is far sharper than the text and flourishes... But good flourishes, quite nice.

But the more I learn about After Effects, the more it reveals itself to be a bunch of odds and ends, all with their own got'cha problems. I'm not in love mastering software that I know could have been streamlined. It's so distracting and time consuming. It's about creativity, not about learning how an engineer thinks. 'Just makes me appreciate that a pencil is an amazing tool.

@ivangutowski I'm somewhat spoiled. I once used high-end Quantel graphics systems back in the day. It's true that I can do more with After Effects than those early costly systems. However, I'm sold on the idea that really good software can be transparent and intuitive, so you can stay creatively focused and not technically focused.. AE, to me, has never been that intuitive, although it seems to be getting better. Sometimes to increase a value, you have to decrease it, etc... I hate that.

Its done in Adobe After Effects with the plugin Evolution from videocopilot(Dot)net for all the flourishes, then for the ink explosions, its another plugin from VC called Riot Gear.
