and how about the contact between owner and pet at feeding time? I'm talking about everyday process and not that time when the owner is on holiday, or just away from home for a couple of days.for that reasons this thing is ok. I have a beauty cat, and that is a real lovely moment, when I'm feeding him, and he is thanking to me by purring and leaning to my feet... that owner who just simply feeling uncomfortable to spending a minute to feed their pets, well that person do not need a pet....
The design reminds me of the little Roomba robotic vacuum. People commenting here about "how hard is is to simply pour some food out for a cat" apparently don't own any. Cats can be left for a few days, since unlike dogs, they do not need to be let outside to do their business. Upgrades should include electric units with built in GFI protectors in case kitty decides to chew on the cord :-)
"We know how much you care for your pets" YET.. you don't have 30 seconds to pour some cat/dog food into a bowl... this bowl is completely retarded in my opinion. I can see an automatic cleaning litter box, but this is just ridiculous.
My cat learned how to break into this thing after the 2nd day. As it's turning, if the cat helps push the door open, they can push it past its mark and actually eat 2 meals at once. But that means no meal for tomorrow.
Then, the batteries only lasted about 2 weeks. I'm sure they'd last longer if your cats don't mess with it, sit on it, etc...but heck, they're cats! That's what they do.
The motor burned out completely after 4 weeks. The company refused to replace it.
Ok, this is good for my pet, if i go away for 7 days. I wouldn't buy this

i really don't think this was very well thought out. there are tons of possible things that could go wrong with this. overpriced too.

BTW, all 3 comments here (popstargirl, nmkmathan, Vasanthi) appear to be fake reviews from the company itself.
"Now I don't have to feed my pet!" ...WFT? What pet owner talks this way? You don't even know if you own a cat or a dog?
Fake.

The product seems great. Pet lovers will love to own this. Great brains behind the novel idea.
