  • this made my day and makes me so happy how sweet children are and do the right thing i am glad they called the wrong number

  • that guy is probally over 100 years old now but atleast he lived a longer life

  • things happen in mysterious ways.

  • that was sad. THE BEST 911 CALL EVER

  • One of the best stories EVER! :')

  • I bet everyone here cried when they girls met the old man in the hospital lol.

  • This was back when people after cared and looked after there fellow human beings. Back when kids weren't rotten, lol.

  • that's sad

  • wow u collect all the old shows dont u thanks very much for doing that u must keep a VHS and then transform it into a DVD or something i loved this show by the way

  • Omg!!!! This episode really touched my heart -3 Just couldn't hold back the tears.

  • <3

  • made me cry

  • Best one ive ever seen made me cry -3

  • Loved it

  • i liked this ep, it shows how you plan for 1 thing but something better comes out of it =)

  • @thelurch8 Amen! That was a good episode. 5:25 The little girl had me crying.

  • Most people would say that dialing his number was a coincidence....But anyone in the right mind can see it was an act of the living God.

  • when she asked him to be her grandfather, i cried c':

  • Cutest old man ever!! I am so glad that those girls got the opportunity to help save his life! :) He looks like a real life Mr. Fredrickson lol :)

  • thats so awsome. im glad that all happend. good for them.

  • This is a miracle!

  • Those girls are great!

  • @RodneyisGodney they rock! And thankfully the girl trusted her feelings - she hadn't been conditioned not to believe in stuff like that. And they kept talking to him - you get told to keep a casualty talking in first aid training

  • They didn't call the wrong number, but rather they happened to call the "right number" in this instance, even if it was by mistake.

  • @epcdaniel good point, it was definitely no coincidence

  • It's almost frightening to think even in 1993, there were areas of North America (excluding possibly Mexico for this purpose) that didn't have 911. When you're in a panic during an emergency, you're not likely to remember a 7 or 10 digit number, which is pretty much why 911 was invented. It's something we now take for granted.

  • @epcdaniel For real! And some 911 didnt have tracing capabilities. I'm thankful now if something (God forbid) went wrong, everything pops up on screen. EXCEPT FOR CELL PHONES!! They give a general location after being traced. That's why in emergencies if you use a cell phone, you have to give the exact location/address whenever possible.

  • I loved to watch reruns of this show when I was little on ABC back in 2004. It's good to find them on yotube all I want now. i watch them every night :)

  • This was the sweetest thing ever<3

  • That's so sweet! :') makes me sad to think he's probably passed now though.

  • What a stroke of luck that she dialed the wrong number.

  • i know there are no accidents in life and the way she called the wrong number was no accident it was right number and she saved his life

  • Who knew a mistake could save a life? This touched my heart. :)

  • EXTRA EXTRA RED ALL ABOUT IT! WRONG NUMBER SAVES OLD MANS LIFE! YOUN GIRL IS AWAURDED WITH A PURPLE HEART!

    :) im proud of her.

  • Wow had did they redial that number after they called 911 also I had no idea they had call waiting back then. DID THEY?

  • @sunsetwinds1 They called the ambulance from a different phone than they used to dial the man, and they did have call waiting back then.

  • @sunsetwinds1 your funny LOL back then it wasnt that long ago LOL yes there was call waiting oh and there were cell phones to hehehehe didnt work as good as they do now

  • From the way things turned out,i have to believe these young ladies called the exact right number.

  • @postnet92. He would be at least 100 if he was still alive

  • I have the biggest smile on my face right now

  • What are the odds of that?

  • do u know if he is still around

  • Did Danielle say she assumed what was wrong?

  • This made me cry <3

  • I love this video too ! It also touches my heart too!!

  • I love this episode! It touches my heart...

  • This is one of the only episodes I remember so vividly

  • I <3 life savers :D

  • i love happy endings

  • I wonder who they could hear what that man was saying

  • Where are their parents? Do they not know anything about this?

  • @SingersDreamful at the begining of the clip the video stated that the parents were down the street.

  • @JimmePaul Ah. Im suprized they didnt call them after.

  • Yeh it's like 20 years older than me cuz im 9

  • this video is older than me, yet im watching it on 2011:)

  • this video made me smile

  • That is gods act right there that is why you should believe in God

  • I'm so happy that they were able to get his information and stuff so they could get to him.

  • Awwww :)

  • Do they know what happened to him?

  • this is truly remarkable

  • great video ! (:

  • OMG Another I sort of forgot until I saw it listed on the side. :D

  • These girls were (and I'm sure still are) brilliant!

  • I'm actually married to Tina Erb which is now Tina Medina and her little syster Melissa is my syster in-law from this episode. When my wife saw this episode in here, she started to cry because she still remembers everything like if it was yesterday. I think my syster in-law (Melissa), Danielle and my wife (Tina) did a great job with the little resources and no training to get all the info required for the emergency dispatcher. I'm so proud of my wife! Thank you for posting it here !!!!

  • @yucahead13 Could the girls provide an update of how their relationship with the elderly man was. Obviously he has passed way but did he see any of them marry or anything? Did he remain close to them?

  • Melissa and Tina in the video are my aunts now....and of course they still remember that night till this day. They just told me about how they were on the show so i looked it up on youtube and found it. It's wierd to see them so young lol. But i am very happy that aunt missy called the wrong number :)

  • @svuluver5 Your aunts are amazing and heroic. I hope they know so many people admire them to this day for their actions.

  • What a lucky guy, the most touching episode yet! Some of these episodes drive me to to tears against my will but Mellisa is an angel from heaven and so sweet. Made me cry.

  • aw it made me sad when the youngest girl started crying. :(

  • How can they redial, when the last number they called was 911 or rescue ??? Unless they got his number .But she did say hit redial.

  • @Nikymommy, I assume that they used the wall phone to call Rescue and then went back to the cordless phone to call the man back.

  • This is the sweetest story!

  • Definitely a miracle. No doubt about it.

  • Those girls r so sweetest

  • This might be the most beautiful story I've ever heard.

  • @originalsin19 this story brought me tears =)

  • Awhh! Thats soooo sweet(: It made me cry! Nobody would have known that he was dead but now look where that got him!

  • Its a miracle that the girl called him when he was having trouble

  • in england in sovit russia nvm

  • Wow this is so sweet. And to think how lucky it was the seriese of events that lead to these girls saving that mans life.

  • makes me cry every time i see it <3 =')

  • how beautiful

  • this made me cry!

  • This is truly something special, and beautiful.

  • i think that their's was the last generation of children like that....@ 5:05 a child cried for the sake of a stranger...

  • Well, why didn't he dial 911?

  • @MBH96 The town didn't have a 911 system at that time, only a seven-digit emergency number (which is why the girls had to look it up in the phone book). Also, his symptoms were likely interfering with his ability to think clearly, so he might not have considered dialing the operator to ask for the number.

  • @MBH96 Yeah, that's what I say.

  • i dont get when kids cry, some sorta talk like they're lungs are jumping lawl. just like the girl in the video did.

  • @evian1230 That's because she was trying to hold it in.

  • god blesh that girl

  • i could watch this one over and over its such a sweet episode.

  • act of God amazing this is a mirical what a beautifull ending

  • @dappledbaybeauty I agree! God must have known that he was in trouble for those girls to some how call him.

  • act of God

  • Best wrong number ever. And staying on when most people just say, "sorry, wrong number," those girls are gold.

  • This makes me cry!I wish my grandfather was still alive....

  • It's sad to think that now that poor man is dead for sure...

  • @cilluzza08

True, but what's reasuring is that he most likely spent the rest of his life with the closest thing to grandchildren he ever had.

  • A few years ago a similar thing happen to me. I was on MSN chatting with a woman who I had just meet through a chat room. About 30mins later I get a message on my screen saying help me my mommy wont wake up. It was her young daughter that took over the key board asking me for help. It turned out they had no phone. I got the address from the kid and called 911 from my house they said they would check it out. It turned out that I saved the her life..she had a reaction to some medication.

  • Wow!!!! Great job girls!!!!

  • they need to bring back rescue 911

  • This episode is a tear jerker!!! Leigh

  • it was desitney.

  • you know fate is on your side when this happens, imagine being so close to death and you just happened to be saved by a wrong number.......let alone starting a new family because of it

if there was ever proof some things are meant to happen this is it

  • these girls should receive an award of some kind for what they did cause if they hadnt have missed dialed, this man could have died.

  • Just goes to show, sometimes miracles DO happen!

  • That's so very touching. I'm glad it turned into a happy ending. =')

  • 9 people ar...

  • Exactly what excuse could the 9 people who thumbs'd down this video have?

  • this show gives me chills!

  • HIs heart problem was part of that miricle too. They didnt rescue him from a heart attack, but lonleyness. How awsome.

  • Aw man, this one just made me cry. Bless his heart and theirs!

  • such sweet girls, credit to their parents.

  • awe this is so great :)

  • Aww! This story is so sweet!

  • WoW I remember the days of one phone line in the house and having to use 3 way calling. I am also fearful of the fact that today somebody would have just immediately hung up the phone when they realized they had the wrong number. Glad these girls didnt.

  • i feel sad for that old man

  • the girls are so cute and caring !!

  • This is hands down, the sweetest rescue 911 I've ever seen. <3

  • GOD works in mysterious ways. Good girls!!

  • the elderly guy died by now right?

  • It was no accident that that girl dialed the wrong number, in fact is was a miracle. That man needed help and god sent help through her.

  • @nORTHcACKALACKgurl and he is older than both my grandmothers and grandfathers

  • thatk God that those girls called him! otherwise he wouldnt get help

  • That girl in the stripes who went D d dont go han g in there cuz she was crying i do that too i cant Not do that ;] God Thanks u Girl and So Does That Poor Old Man God Bless u guys :)

  • alot of communitys still didnt have 9-11 until 1997, and theres still a couple that still dont.

  • the odds of that happening or like what 1/643276755743257476476 thats kind of amazing but it also makes you think

  • what a miracle i actually started crying i love the end who were you trying to call anyway? i dont remember... you dont remember??

  • How often does situations like this happen? Wow.

  • its so sad that even though they saved him he was still going to die of another heart attack that was very sad

  • Awww thats so nice- Loved it

  • I remember those days. We had it posted on our phone, but in an emergency, to remember a 7 digit number would be impossible. I had CHF and it's a frightening experience.

  • Wow. After seeing this I will never be able to think of boredom the same way again. This is absolutely amazing.

  • there truely are angels among us

  • Im just sayin why do they not know 911? They had to look and look for the number why?

  • @krazykandy123 some small towns didn't have 911 service until later, my home town didn't have it until around 2002 or so.

  • @opinionatediam I didn't know that earlier until I read the comments. Im srry D:

  • @krazykandy123 no worries, but it is something to keep in mind, when you are traveling, be aware of what places have 911 available and know the places that don't and have the emerg #'s available for those locations (you can usually get them on the internet)

  • Those girls have a good friend in that older man. What a way to make friends by accidently dialing the wrong number and getting him the help he needed. This has to be one of the top three happy friend stories I've seen on Rescue 911. The other 2 were the man in Detroit that recused the frozen young black boy and the other was Michigan State Trooper Dave Haire stopping a runaway box car that struck an elderly couples car at a RxR crossing

  • when that girl said "hang in there, dont fall asleep" (the girl in the pink) why was she breathing like that in the interveiw thing?

  • @Emily123199316 she is crying

  • @Emily123199316 cause she was remembering how she felt and she was trying to keep from crying

  • i think you mean they were aired in december 31st cause of the new year's eve count down

  • @cegoins25 They were re-enacting an incident that happened on December 31, 1992, but this episode aired on December 21, 1993.

  • Wow what a very touching story, best happy ending ever.

Last time i tried to call my friend i got a wrong number i ended up talking to my ex boyfriend from 30 years ago, lol

God bless those girls for taking the time to care for that lovely man, may they all go on an have lots of happy times together.

    They were his angels :)

  • Aww thats soo freaking sweet, these girls are soo kind& soo is he

i watched this when i was little but it went off air,soo i watch it on here
