  • Is it wrong that I'm a guy and I cried?

R.I.P Severus Snape. Lived a villain. Died a hero.

  • I have never cried at a movie so much in my entire life. </3

  • Snape's the bravest man he ever knew - and it's so beautiful how the plot all comes together. All the times we doubted Snape ... Now we know who he would die for.

  • After all this time?

    Always.

  • As harry said "he was the bravest man i've ever known"

  • I couldn't help but think that Snape was a bit kinder to Harry in the movies than in the books. The tear he shed in place of just the misty memories was a nice touch, and his last words were touching.

  • Well Hp and the Deathly Hallows got nominated three times:

    Viual Effects

    Makeup

    Art Diresction

...FU Academy Awards, you don't even recognize Alan Rickman!!!

  • "Sometimes i think we sort too soon"- Dumbledore to Severus

  • whats a demise? XD!! No, tell me really

  • @thebackuganguy22 Demise means Death

  • "You... said... you would -keep.- -Her-. Safe-."... My heart broke. And I'm a guy. This guys is a hero, and what I strive to be like once I fall in love.

  • I felt the same as Harry when he doubted Snape. He is indeed a brave man. Rest in peace. Lily would be proud of protecting Harry.

  • i am literally in tears right now. T_T

    -always

  • 0:30 to the end is so beautiful to hear and listen to. It is a nice subtle mix of Lily's Theme the main theme for Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Very nice work the composer Desplat did for this film, what an achievement.

  • Don't cry don't cry don't cry!!... Fuck.

  • anyone who likes this is happy that Snape died, therefor I do :)

  • 666 people like this :D Voldemort is 666 person

  • people say that it was dumbledore who guided harry through his dark life, but without snape, none of it would have been possible

  • Thumbs up if you think Harry potter is better then Twilight

  • the dislikes are from people who are sad that he died..

  • Yes I remember this song so sell....

It's also the opening song for 7-2, when Snape is looking down as the students entering school being watched by death eaters.

His face was unreadable, but the sight of his back was so bleak and sad.

The bravest man ever continued to carry his mission alone to the very end.

  • @chrisroserva no it isn't! That was Lily's theme! But this does sound like it!

  • @jamzo9000 oh...thanks for letting me know. I like it when it shows at Snape's scenes and when Harry defeated Voldy.

  • I cryed when i saw Snape hold lily in his arms. Snape is one of my favorite characters. I hated that he died TT_TT

  • beautiful thts all i can say jus beautiful thankyou so much

    i feel like crying

  • I'm definitely buying this song.

  • I very much love how Lily's Theme is at the end:)

  • Goodbye Snape, we'll all miss you... <3

  • Snape Dying Was The Saddest Part, Mostly For Harry, Knowing That his Dad Stole His Only Love. I Hated Seeing The Prince's Tale, Knowing He's Already Dead, But More To His Life.. </3

  • You know what I believe: Alan Rickman is a fake name. SO is Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Gritson(??) I believe they just made it so that Hogwarts wasn't really exposed. They really are all wizards, who most of them died, but still :3 I like believing Alan Rickman and all the other names are fake. Just to cover up the Wizarding World because the story of Harry Potter was so good that she had to tell Muggles, which sadly, are us.

  • @MsKirbygurl lmfao alan rickman has been in other movies. i kno u miss these films i do to but please stay sane.

  • @DaPlaya274 How is that insane? Whats more fulfilling? If that's what she enjoys who are you to question her sanity?

  • @Dynryn805 lets be real here these actors have been in many films before these. I love these films as much as anybody but saying they're real is sort of childish.

  • @DaPlaya274 There is a difference between growing up and being cynical. She obviously knows that it isn't real. But my point was why can't it feel real? If it brings someone joy to think that way then who are you to call them childish?

  • I've watched the movie 3 times in theater, opening night, then 2 other times in 3d. I just watched it at my house and I was bawling once again at this part alone. Snape and Lilly were the best romance there ever was and ever will be. <3

  • it kind of sounds like lilys theme

  • @lightmatterful

They probably did that on purpose.

  • I dont even want to listen to this, because it makes me cry, remembering my past childhood, but I cant. Long live Harry Potter! We love it! :)

  • J.K. Rowling told a better love story in one chapter than than Stephenie Meyer did in 4 books.

  • @iWpanz J.K Rowling Typed one word that was a better love story then twilight "Always."

  • @iWpanz more like two lines-

    "After all this time?"

    "Always,"

  • @iWpanz J.K. Rowling did A LOT of things better than Stephenie Meyer. actually, scratch that. EVERYTHING J.K. ever did and will do is better than Stephenie Meyer :)

  • @iWpanz

1,000 thumbs up because that chapter was just too amazing and I was emotionally touched.

  • @iWpanz More like one word:

    Always.

  • Love how Alan Rickman played Snape. I've loved Snape's character since he was first introduced, no matter how he acted, I knew there was something good in him.

  • every single piece of music from every Harry Potter film sends chills down my spine. They're all so meaningful and superbly played and written.

    Congratulations to the composer

    You've done an amazing job♥

  • very beautiful piece of music, harry potter forever!!!!

  • sexiest picture ever ^.^

  • There are a full two generations of children now who will hear the words Harry Potter and think of their childhood. Forever. What an impact to have had on the world.

  • i love the whole soundtrack......its beautiful but please tell me why lily's theme & this & resurrection stone tunes are similar?? just asking

  • Only a true Potter fan can feel the emotion, tears, sadness and history when listening to these soundtracks x

  • Knowing that even in Snapes music, there's some lily. I swear, whoever came up with that is a FREAKING GENIUS! I always tear up when i hear this.

  • I will always be an Harry Potter fan i love it so much! why did it have to end!

  • Alexandre Desplat was the only man capable of producing such a beautiful and rich soundtrack for something as historic and lovely as Harry Potter.

  • so beautiful... makes me quiet

  • *Sob*

  • @KNIGHTOFSCOTS BEFORE Nagini attacked him. Before voldemort disabled him. Raise you wand and defend yourself snape! Fuckin Defense against the Dark Arts teacher just lays down and dies? MY ASS!

  • @drealgrin Umm it was Voldemort you know the dark lord of everything.

  • Comment removed

  • 1:28 Goose bumps....So Sad best and also sadest soundtrack in the movie!!

    Severus Snape Always!!

  • Always.

  • ..Can any one of you Potterheads imagine someone from the Harry Potter cast, or the director, or even J.K Rowling herself, and the composers of the music.. die? :(

  • @Penguin8234 Well, technically Richard Harris died after Chamber of Secrets...

  • @Penguin8234 Dumbledore.

  • @xxurbananglexx Well, I've gotten over that. I mean like, Snape, and Moody, Lupin, HARRY, and stuff.

  • Damn snape why didnt u make a potion to heal as BACK UP???!!!

  • who were the two retards that disliked this??

  • @SnarrySiremus101

It's obvious isn't it? Voldemort and his ridiculous snake pressed the thumbs down.

  • @IBreak4It

Teeheehee that's so cute, you made me smile!! :)

  • It's real for us, always <3

  • ilikethe begining hedwigs theme slow hosit called

  • this makes me cry

  • @drealgrin Snape got bit in the neck, and the snake's bite contains a poison that keeps the wound open (Remember when Arthur got bit in OotP?)) So he couldn't heal himself, and he was bleeding out too quickly, and when a person loses that much blood, they're done for. So back off, okay? He'd spent his life fighting, but his life was over.

  • @KNIGHTOFSCOTS how did he lose his strength?

  • When I’m 80 years old and sitting in my rocking chair, I’ll be reading Harry Potter. And my family will say to me, "After all this time?" And I will say, "Always."

    - Alan Rickman ♥

  • What i don't fucking get is why Snape would just lay down and die, FUCKING FIGHT!

  • @drealgrin ummm lets see voldemort broke his neck so he coudnt do ANYTHING. all he could do was lay there

  • @drealgrin I'd like to see you fucking fight after Voldemort slits your throat and Nagini attacks you repeatedly.

  • @lellyumsX he didn't slit his throat in the movie.

  • @lellyumsX and also, he tells snape of his plan to kill him, that's when i'd be like." Shit yo, i aint just gonna let that happen."

  • @drealgrin Actually, in the movie I believe he does. Of course in the book it was all Nagini. In the movie; Severus' colour up all the way, then Voldemort makes a slashing movement with his wand and his collar is almost ripped open. You'd challenge Voldemort while he was in possession of the Elder Wand? Hm, well good luck with that! Severus died like a hero.

  • @lellyumsX If his neck was cut then why the hell was he able to talk to harry potter as he was dying?

And yeah, i'd challenge him. either way you're gonna die, why not at least fight

  • @drealgrin Just shut up and enjoy the beautiful music.

  • @lellyumsX heck nah

  • Oh, god dammit. I just got REALLY sad over a fictional character's difficult and unfair life. Really upset. Stupid, effective music.

  • Alan Rickman and Snape. Best pairing in the world.

  • I find it so touching that just like how Snape died with Lilly's eyes being the last thing he saw (how he asked harry to look at him and then he told him he had his mother's eyes) the music ends with Lilly's Theme. It just goes to show that in life and death Lilly is the first, last and only thing Snape will ever hold close to him.

  • Even if you had no idea this song was in Deathly Hallows, the music itself would make you cry. It's so beautiful. Out of all the books I've read, Snape has got to be my favorite and the person I admire most. I've never read, heard or seen of a love so raw and true. What Romeo and Juliet and Edward and Bella had compares nothing to what Snape felt for Lily.

The Princes' Tale broke my heart when I read it and found out Severus never had love.

  • Gee... I hope J.K Rowling watches all these comments, so she could make more epicness!

  • @Chelseadancebaby I already did xD

  • My fucking God... Alexandre you're fantastic!

  • It's amazing that most of the stuff that had happened, was because of Lily.

  • R.I.P Snape! A REAL HERO

  • - After all this time?

    - Always.

  • @BakedPotato1337 I cried like a baby when he said that :'(

  • Wow, this song is extremely depressing :' (

  • Everytime this two minutes make me die inside again.

  • @jumpforJOYxD I KNOW RIGHT!!! HOW DARE YOU MAKE A JOKE OF ALAN RICKMAN!!! HES WAYYY TOO AWESOME!!! YOU SHUD BE HANGED BY TEH BALLZZZ...

  • to sum up most of our feelings: While Snape was dying, we were crying.

  • I felt like this whole song captured the essence and entirety of Severus Snape's character. Beautifully done and cleverly combined with "Lily's Theme",

  • when snaoe dies... he cries hi first tear of the movies.....

  • i don´t understand one thing is serverus sneep the father of harry i really did´nt Get it

  • @kyaraisverliefd No. Snape, met Lily at ten years old, and fell in love with her. But after he called her a Mudblood one day, out of humiliation she would have nothing to do with him (they had been best friends)

He became a death eater, then heard a prophacy about the one who could destroy Voldemort. Voldemort thought it meant Harry and went to kill the whole family. Snape then begged Dumbledore to keep them safe, and in return spied on the death eaters for him. Read the book...it explains it.

  • @kyaraisverliefd No. Harry was a constant reminder of what Snape lost. He loved Lily since he was a boy and they were good friends while at Hogwarts until he called her a Mudblood, by accident. And when Snape joined the Deatheaters, Lily severed all ties with him. After Voldemort kills Lily, Snape agreed to protect Harry for Lily's sake. He never stopped loving her even when she left him, and I think a part of him cared for Harry too. Read the Chapter :The Prince's Tale" in the 7th book.

  • "....you...have..your mothers eyes....."

  • Severous Snape..Lived a Villain..Died a Hero

  • @gkeeper555 U got it wrong, its Born and lived a Slytherin, Died a Gryffindor

  • RIP Severus

  • Gosh... Severus Snape: the most complex, wonderful, misunderstood, loving, brave, cryptic character ever produced by Rowling. The best.

  • I feel sorry for those who never came to know Harry Potter books or movies. Really, I do.

  • @DavidTan1312 I got involved late but was so glad I did!

  • @DavidTan1312 : Don't worry, I grew up on LOTR, so I'm taken care of.

  • @DavidTan1312

I know... I'm really annoyed at myself because I was born the year the first book came out and my mum never read me the books when I was a child. I wish I could have had the thirteen years of Potter experience from the moment I was born. :(

  • @chocolatecake742 It's okay. Still magical, regardless of your age. :)

  • this is the song i was looking for!! so goood!

  • I'm definitely buying this soundtrack when its available

  • @rachelbalkwill It is available. It's been out for weeks.

  • @inswoon OMG! REALLY! I'm practically running out the door now to get it :P THaNk YOU!

  • Can we all cry together?

  • @WodoShowsOfficial So you agree with me that it was Snape who protected him from dementors at the lake?

  • @Avadakedavrak I know this isn't my conversation but had to ask. If you're talking about the 3rd book where Harry is surrounded by dementors, Harry saved himself. The patronus was a stag, not a doe.

  • @Avadakedavrak Snape's Patronus is a doe, because he was in love with Lily since they were children. If you read the books and/or payed attention to the movie, you would know that Harry was the one who produced the Patronus, saving him and Sirius from the Kiss. His is a Stag, like his father's.

  • 1:11 gives me chills, I think that's what they play in the beginning were Snape is watching over Hogwarts? Beautiful.

  • this almost got my crying again

  • If Alan Rickman does not get an Oscar for playing Snape....

R.I.P. Severus Snape: The Bravest Slytherin Ever.

  • ITS A GODDAMN VARIATION OF LILY'S THEME

    HOW DEEP IS THIS

  • They did this scene really well in the movie. I was tearing up. What I like is that despite harry's feelings toward Snape, he still went to him as he lay there dying, trying to comfort him. And you could tell that Harry felt bad for Snape. Whatever hatred he had had disappeared.

  • After i watched Harry Potter ad Deathly Hallows i realised that it was S. Snape who protected Harry Potter in Hp and Prisoner of Azkaban. Harry thought that it was his father who protected with his Patron of deer. Rest in peace Snape...

  • @Avadakedavrak No, it was Harry protecting himself when he went back in time with Hermione

  • @12alexdavis34 no, snape was the one who sent the protronus stag to save him. read the book

  • @WodoShowsOfficial Im sorry but in the book harry originally thought the stag (not a doe) was his father, but when they went back in time harry cast it to save his past self.

  • @WodoShowsOfficial No, I have read the book, a few times, Harry goes back in time with Hermione, thinking he saw his Dad save him and Sirius, then realises it was himself who saves them, he steps forward and casts a very powerful patronous..

I think you're getting mixed up with the Seventh book where Snape sends his patronous that leads Harry to the sword of Gryffindor in the lake:-)

so how about you read the book, and get your facts right.

  • @Avadakedavrak actually it was Harry who protected himself

  • @penguinrocker666 yes thats true but the doah that came by in the third movie belonged to snape

  • @bakubrawlers There was no doe in Prisoner of Azkaban. The only corporeal patronus in that movie was Harry's stag.

  • I always thought Snape was the best in Harry Potter. He was the most complex and trialed character. It's in this movie that you realise that Snape is not only on the good side, but a good person too. he really did care for Harry and when you really think about it Snape had a rough childhood too. He lost Lily and his parents divorced when he was a baby. (That wasn't in the movie)

  • Kinda ironic how snape was half killed by a spell he invented, it's like being impaled upon your own sword...

  • Poor Alan Rickman, getting his throat slit by Sweeny ,Voldy and his pet snake.

  • No dislikes? IT BEST STAY THAT WAY.

  • I LOVED THE SCENE! IT MADE ME TEAR UP A BIT! ALAN RICKMAN DESERVES AN OSCAR FOR THIS!

  • HP7 pt.2 was awesome

  • I love this song, *sniffle sniffle* it tears me up though. He loved her so much...sad that love like that doesn't really exist anymore *sniffle*

  • It's not that I don't like the vocals in this, it's just that the vocals in this were used in 2 other tracks. I'm sorry to say that I'm slightly disappointed in the new composer and I think that he could have done a little bit more original

  • @kitadefan007 *Cough* Its a reflection of the story. its Lily;s Theme inserted in "Snapes Demise" to echo the true force behind Snapes actions that utterly brings about his death. He loved Lily all his life and at the end he asked Harry to look at him because he had his mothers eyes and that was what Snape wanted to die looking into.

  • he performed one of the best deaths i have ever seen

  • i love how part of Lily's theme is in Snape's Demise. it's showing that all of Snape's life, all the way till his death, was lived and ended because of Lily. Lily was his life, his goal, his mission, his reason for the things he did, his reason for caring for the son of the man he hated, his reason for taking death like a HERO.

  • @joongiefan I love you for saying that. *salutes*

  • ohmigod... listening to this just makes me cry because i remember snape....

  • Goosebumps anyone?

  • Have you noticed part of Lily's theme is in this?

  • @EloquentQueenn yes the part from 0:30 is pretty much lily's theme from there. glad they did it that way though as lily is the cause for all of snapes discions.

  • "albus severus potter, you are named after two hogwarts headmasters, one of them was in slytherin and he was the bravest man i have ever met..."

    RIP Severus Snape

  • LOL, Voldemort looks like Squidward.

  • @linkxkid13 hahahahahaha

  • Eventhough Dumbledore was the greatest wizard of all time and Harry Potter is the boy who survived the strike of Voldemort and defeated him, it will be Snape who will be remebered for tricking Voldemort and for being the true hero of the series.

  • Yes, I was crying then Snape died.. :<

  • so many great men died in this story, Lupin, Snape, Dumbledore, It's like that's what J K Rowling is afraid of isnt it, like losing her dad, or her husband dunno just my oppinion

  • oh god they have hedwig's theme in there too.

  • "For Him " Snape says and produces the petronus who takes the form of a doe (That was Lily's petronus) .

Dumbledor (incredibly surprised) : After all these years ?

Snape (in utter grief) : Always ....

These few words blew me away , the scene of the movie for me ...Like if u think like me.

  • Is there a way to buy the full soundtrack??
