PT just provides a visual layout of your tracks, and slots to place plug-ins, such as Drumagog, the actual software that might be responsible for what you're talking about. But it's not, because I still don't understand. This doesn't give the illusion of anything. It's clearly off a little bit, it doesn't sound perfect at all. And did you read the description? It's off because audio and video were recorded in separate instances.

His drums really don't sound too processed either, maybe some light compression and he EQ'd the drum tones to taste, but that's it. And the drums aren't perfectly in sync and are a bit sloppy, so heavily editing and quantizing hits can't be what you're talking about. I really don't understand ahah.
