He has fear of things that are new, doctors, noises, being told to do things that are not his idea...the list goes on. The dentist could become the "perfect" storm. Haircuts used to be a 2 person holding one cutting to give you an idea. I'm lucky with him he give LOTS of body cues, and uses them in varied situations. Also I should state that his reinforcer was mini marshmellows, his choice ;-) The dentist will love it! Thanks for watching
This is absolutely fascinating. Could you post some info about why your son is afraid of the dentist, or how you came to realize he was afraid of the dentist? Is he afraid of many other things this way or is it related mostly to his mouth? It was interesting to see how you narrowly avoided a few temper tantrums with the help of tag. I could see people thinking tagging was weird and kind of unnecessary until they saw that part :) Can't wait to see how the dentist process progresses!
