the revolt was a stupid idea nothing good came out of it.

Nothing good in the short term, but in the long run, it made all Jews rabbinic Jews. Rabbinic Judaism existed before the destruction, but after, it was clear that rabbinic Judaism was the only form that could survive and thrive in a Diaspora. I'm convinced that had it not been for rabbinic Judaism, there would be no Jewish people today.
