  • I used to use this setting a year or so ago when I was trying to make cars with axles and drive shafts. Never occurred to use it like this though.

  • BAWLSCOKETZ

  • Unfortunately, two of them still do not functionally replace the DUAL brd locking diff method. Not nearly as efficiant

  • can't believe I didn't think of this before!, brilliant!! as always ;D

  • how do you connect it to an engine?

  • @TheNotlogic XYZ Lock ballsocket from the engine to an adjacent plate.

  • I've tested it it works awesome !!!!

  • the original was better ballsockets slip alot

  • I hate this thing, at around 1000 rpm, the plate ballsocketed to the wheels starts rotating the same way as the other plate ballsocketed to the engine. If there is a way to stop this please share.

  • @Ja60bGmod I'm not sure there's a way to stop that, as what you described is simply constraints not holding up at that RPM. If I find a way to combat that, I'll let you know.

  • @mwhite112393 Thanks

  • Thanks for sharing. :)

  • wait wait wait...so someone thought of something easier than the brd and that was more complicated??? i even though of the ballsockets thing with the x axis but i just never really felt like trying it lol... WOOOOOW weird...

  • Is there really a dislike? who's the dummy who hates simplicity?

  • @EchoAlphaBravo Probably Calamityjane9999 or one of their followers. calamity first claimed he had invented this, but LastXP and I stumbled upon it around the same time. XP has a video of it proving he did it first, but back then it wasn't a viable solution since plain Advanced Duplicator couldn't save it properly.

  • @mwhite112393 I invented it in 1996.

It's fucking awesome. So much better than brd or gearing. You never cease to impress.

  • @redreaper2020 Don't give me the redit, LastXP, as far as I can tell, was the first to Youtube with anything close to this.

  • @mwhite112393 ...um, that's a joke dude. Gmod wasn't around in 1996. And yes, lastxp was the first afaik.

  • @redreaper2020 I caught the joke, bud. I was referring to the latter bit of your comment "You never cease to impress".

  • @mwhite112393 ah. missing a C is the different between "don't give me the Red-Edit (contraction)" and "don't give me the CREDIT". THen there's the site reddit...

I was mentioning more the fact that you always seem to find new things and bring them to the community at large. Any idea can be invented in multiple places and does no community good if they're not shared. U just so nice like dat. <3

  • @redreaper2020 oops.

    also, dawww

  • This is what I do on my RWD cars with longitudinal engines to transfer the power to the rear wheels. You can also make a differential out of 2 props (not counting wheels or baseplate).

  • @AX53B60 That's what we originally did, but he simplified it in this video.

  • @AX53B60 so just 90 degree ballsocket from engine straight to wheels?

  • @lastxp That is correct. No need for two plates. Same thing applies for the 2 prop diff I was talking about. 2 of the bevel gears found in the diff are the actual wheels themsefles.

  • Heh, very nice.

  • Excellent.

  • Very good, The game is evolving.

  • nice :)
