I'm interested in taking ballet

However, i finid classical ballet too stiff for my taste.

And i found out about contemporary ballet.

I'm really confused.

Can someone explain to me all different types of ballet and what are their differences?

Contemporary ballet is not danced to classical music while classical ballet is danced to classical music. In contemporary ballet, it's more free, and a bit more rhythmic style in ballet;just like jazz.

Very beautiful smooth movements. I just went to the Nutcracker Ballet two weekends ago! It was amazing! Good song choice. But again, very pretty. Just a little lighter when your feet are coming down hard on the floor. Control.

no, you are in a shoe much like a soft ballet shoe only there is a "wooden" box at the end that fits your toes. that "wooden" box allows women to stand on their toes. it is a blast. =]

There is no ballet fusion here. NEVER EVER run your hand across your body and touch yourself. It looks like bad 'studio' dancing if it comes from nowhere. Keep working and let someone else choreograph the number for you. It helps with perspective

when we did the nutcracker, i was an arabian dancer, i danced to this music :) very good dance btw, dont like the splits in choreography though, but the reast is very good :) xxx

I thought it was very beautiful. The choreography is great. I would like to see you enjoy your movements a little more especially on the lay back. I also want to see and feel more breath from your core into your movements. That will help you to extend the step alot further and allow for flawless control.
