  • HOW I CAN FIX THE KEYS IN MY ROLAND EP 9 THE KEY DONT WORK DONT MAKE NO SOUND PLEASE HELP

  • Thanks! I have a Roland FP-1 keyboard and the same keys are broken on mine. Now I will just need to do what you did! :)

  • @widjajafamily: How did you open up the FP1? Which screws did you unscrew?

  • lol I love the office in the background.

  • Thank you for this video! but i have a problem: when i want to take out the keys it isn´t as easy as in your video. there is a kind of loking pin at the end of the key. how did you manage this and remove the key?

  • so roland provides spare hammers? I got ten broken hammers allready. all display models, five keys in a perpex box, you find in pianoshops show cracks. far as I know this is major production failiure. the nylon shrinks after a while and expose the steel weight inside. roland makes a lot of money providing those hammers. instead they should stop producing and have us get those hammers for free. disgrace I say.

  • I can not tell you how much I appreciated your posting this. It was the ONLY one I could find!!! I have both a Roland RD 600 and an A90-ex. When the 600 broke the "all-important" D above middle key during a rehearsal, I almost passed out! Tok the unit apart and had no idea how to fix it. Now, I will order the parts and get back to playing. THANK YOU... and God Bless...

  • thanks for sharing. Is the top cover of the FP-1 metalic or plastic?

  • great video, maybe my casio px 500 has some broken? please help me to solve this klonknoise. how to ad some damper material

  • Nice Job! I always wanted to document this task, because I do it so infrequently. You did a much better job than anything I would have dreamed up.

NOTE: I just ordered new weights for my keyboard. The price almost DOUBLED in the last ten months. Both naturals and sharps are now over $10/item. Five Naturals and 3 Sharps, plus shipping puts me back over $88.

I asked for a bulk discount. If I wanted to replace ALL 88 keys on the keyboard, the weights will cost me around $5.20/each. Sigh.

  • Thank you SO very much! :) What a relief that I can repair it myself.

  • wow, great video!!! Thanks for sharing.! I have a Casio Privia, and some of the keys seem loose from playing a lot, do you know if i can open mine up like that and tighten the keys somehow?

  • You are my hero!! I just fixed my keys on my kr375 because of this video which saved me a lot of money that I didn't have in the first place.. So thank you very much for posting this video!! I'll pay it forward by helping anyone else who may have questions on how to do it since I just got done taking mine apart it's fresh in my mind so just message me and I'll do what I can. Thanks again for this video!

  • Wish I'd seen this an hour ago... lol. Ours has been broken for years and I finally tapped into it. Exact same issue, only with C#, smack in the middle of the keyboard... grrrr.

  • hello friend good video where I get these parts and keys

if you can give me an Internet address

  • thanks so much I will give them a call!

  • nice job demonstrating this the band i play in has a kr375 that did this same thing the parts even look exactly the same

look like this unit was a little more simple to take apart than the kr375 is that thing is a bear to work on the first time! can you tell me how much these parts cost new i simply epoxyed mine and moved them to the very lower end were they wouldn't get hammered to much

  • The hammers cost $4.60 each directly from Roland USA. Each order incurs a $6.00 shipping charge so it's worthwhile to buy several at once as I did.

  • @widjajafamily where could I order some hammers. Can I have a phone number for a dealer?
