  • LOVELY !!!!

  • are ferrets dogs or cats????

  • @turpuss

Ferrets are ferrets. They're related to weasels, but are domesticated. They're supposed to have an intelligence level somewhere between dogs and cats, but my ferrets seem much smarter than my Great Danes. If you Google "ferrets" you should come up with plenty of information. Good luck!

  • @turpuss Neither. They're part of the Mustelidae family :)

  • @StephneeMcKinnon thx i did not know i thought the were jest big rats

  • @turpuss

People often think that way ^^... sometimes when I am walking outside with my boys there was often the question... "Is this a little dog?" XD

  • If it was just me there in the sink... :)

  • My baby would take showers with me at times. I'd get the water just right and he would relax in my hands. I remember when I used to have long hair, he would climb up my shoulder and curl around my neck under my curtain of hair. I just lost him, found out he had cancer when it was too late. He was 7 years old.

  • This is nothing short of cute ;D My little ferrett doesn't wanna lay down in the water. You have something special! haha

  • I wish my ferret would like water. He's scered of it vere much. Bathing him is a nightmare. But it's better now. He knows nothing bad happens to him but I think it;s more like instict. Now I only end with one or two scratches and not in every bath.

He don;t bite family thought (only small kids wich are his another fobia). It's propably because of his previous owners :(

  • my ferret bit my sis :) and never me and when she is crazy she attacks my and my sis

  • lol

  • Once a week

  • How offten should i give my ferret a bath?

  • @MsHorsegal123

Not Often, once every 4 months. if you clean them too often you wash out the natural oils theirs skin

makes. too much bathing will make your ferrets fur shabby and unconditioned - dont come come

back with "you condition" your ferrets ffs.

  • Animal pp :D

  • my ferret swims and then poops ha ha

  • what happens if my ferret wont stop biting my fingers

  • @CORNDOGING Rubbing alcohol on your finger tips will learn him not to bite... they learn quicker then any harm done

  • @clownass2010 thanks il start doing it

  • Does your ferret ever bite??

  • One of ours does this and the other one is scared to death lol

  • I like the part where he's just chillin' in the sink.

  • OMG that is the most adorable thing ever! Is it a boy? I heard if a ferret has a 'bellybutton' its a boy (The 'Bellybutton' looking thing is the penis). I'm getting an albino ferret and I;m going to name him Bruno!

  • how did u get that ferret to stay sooo still?

  • Feels good man

  • What the hell? How?! My ferrets freak when I give them baths lol!

  • @Five500Hundred some ferrets dont like water just like some of them cant swim

  • i have three of these little guys....they are awesome! I have owned ferrets for years and i have done my research....

  • You'd think that ferret smell would be enough to deter flees!

  • Wow wish my ferrets would stay that still

  • tht ferret looks lik mee ferret cute

    lolz

  • Just a heads up, avoid bathing your ferret too often. When you wash ferrets their skin replaces the oil it lost from the bath, and can sometimes make things more musky c:

  • u shouldnt give ferrets baths to often or they will stink bad!!!ik it seems weird

  • relaxing mama gives me spa

  • ohhhh my gosh.....soooo precious... made my day... that's so sweet. Reminds me of when I used to give my little guys a bath. They are all in Heaven now with Jesus.

  • AHHHHHHHH!

  • aww, my ferret loved baths. If i got the tempurature just right he would half close his eyes

and just relax in my hand. He also loved the blow dryer and never bit anyone ever!. I had the best ferret :)

  • @sotahjarta Sounds like my little guy... except the biting thing. He didn't bite me, or any other people, but he loved to surprise attack my rottweiler. Fortunately, the dog loved the attention, even if it meant letting the ferret gnaw on him a bit!

  • @bemaddy yep thats my boy ferret

  • @bemaddy lol. i have 7 ferrets and my 55 lb dog despises them, to say the least. he is such a wuss that he literally pushes himself into my armpit when they are out. sometimes i pity him and put him outside or in the bedroom for a couple hours when they are out. i wish he liked them as much as he likes the cat. :-/

  • @sotahjarta did he pass away or something

  • @sotahjarta thats just like my ferrets i have 3 ferrets 2 of them (kitty and kaila) hate water and whenever i give them they would try to jump out while the other one (baby) just stayed still and relaxed although when i blow dried her she would always start playing and always jumped and attacked the blower but when i turn it off she stops and looks for the wind that was coming out of the blower it was really cute :)

  • my fuzzy hates water...he freaks out if his foot accidtenally gets in his water bowl....when he gets his bath he stands very still in once spot and waits for it to be over then even after he has been dried off has to roll around in the towels for 20 minutes to be sure then goes and hides and wont come out unless I give him treets ><

  • @bastet31286 Give him treats while bathing him? or what I do with mine is I put him in the bath and get in there with him. Now he loves water. Or you could get another one and they can swim together.

Just some helpfull options to make the bath more comfortable for him

    :]

  • he so cute!

  • he's so relaxed i wish my little wriggle worm would stay still when i give him a bath.

  • That's one calm farriet.

I usually see them all crazy!

  • That belly on the ferret looks like it could use some rash cream.

  • @Haloguy700

Those are his manly parts. not a rash.

  • lol my ferret goes crazy when she gets wet

  • when i give my ferret a bath he likes to get provocked and shit when im drying him D:

  • I have had ferrets for a few years now - I love the little monsters. All mine are rescues so I often get them malnourished or mishandled. Often with adrenal or other problems. I only have 2 at the moment and my little little bandit was so malnourished when I got her she couldn't take 3 steps without falling down. She is doing very well and running quite happily.but, she is old. Doc is a big silver male - very healthy but was a biter. Finally got him calmed down to a gentile nipper.

  • @sordello51 When I got my guy, he had a broken leg. But it healed up ok and he was always so full of energy and such a loving little guy, you'd never have known he had such a rough start. Sadly, he passed away before his time though. Adrenal gland failure.

  • @sordello51 Where did you get your ferrets? I love ferrets and I want to mine from a rescue not just the pet store!! How long have you had your ferrets? I cant wait to get a ferret!!!!!!

  • @lucygreengrove

Here in Germany its forbidden for pet stores to sell ferrets, because they often don´t know how to care for them... I just don´t know where the thinks are where you live, but try to find some ferrets in a rescue or from a GOOD Breeder. Just one think you should NEVER have just ONE Ferret. They are very social and need a partner... a human is not enough, no matter how good you take care for it

  • woah, he looks chubby. :D

  • Look "The Wire" and forget this video-shit!!!

  • CUUUTE!!!! swagbucks com/refer/BethanyD123

  • i miss my ferret....-_-'

  • @Ben85paintball My Yuki hates water, when i run the sink to just wash my hands he pees himself. I have no idea what made him hate it so badly! Poor baby...

  • @BringEmtoTheirKnees did you get him from somewhere else?? proba a bad experience with the first home if so

  • FERRETS ARE SO DAMN CUTE~ im in love...is it leagle to marry a ferret???

  • @crazylikeme143 only if you actually know how to spell legal*

  • @HumanAccount lol oops

  • so cute and sweet i like that peoples in one video dog fight with Ferret i from poland and i no god with engilsh :p

  • @HammyWuver & @chanelita8 Double Ummmm, That should be a major part of life. READ A BOOK! Research on the INTERNET! Don't impulse buy anything or impulse do anything. Babies, Children, Dogs, Cats, Monkey, Ferrets, ETC... require work....lots of work...and MONEY....Just be ready to commit TIME & MONEY!!! No more Children or animals in shelters would be AWESOME!!!

  • what makes ferrets smell is the oils the secrete, which is why people bathe them so often. but that just makes them produce the oil faster. the best option is to have a dirt box, like a litter box full of potting soil. they love digging around in it and the oil rubs off. (and dirt doesn't smell) so It's all good!

  • that is hilarious hehe

  • Checkout Ferret Pool

  • soo cute.. pink belly!

  • Ferrets love waterfalls

  • Wow, he looks like he likes it xD

  • so like do u let ferretts out to go shit in the back yard or is it his cage or something?

  • @thatkid246 They shit pretty much wherever lol. You can put a litterbox in their cage, or in various rooms around your house, and often times they'll use that, but usually use the entire house as their toilet lol. It's no big deal though, they're small and easy to clean up.

  • your lucky your ferret stays still lol, my ferret is really squirmy.

  • Thumbs up to you for FERRET WATER!!!!

Lol@TDsikorsky - He certainly behaves better than mine do during bath-time! x)

But then again, at the price that they don't poop in my shoe. :P

  • @YourDarkAccomplice Do you have to bathe ferrets then?

  • @DeviousLittleFox - Not really. But it is suggested you bathe them about once every three months or so, in order to get rid of that "musky" smell they tend to have. But keeping their bedding clean should also do the trick. :)

They also sell "ferret cologne" if you wish to go the extra mile. heh.

  • @DeviousLittleFox I bathe my ferrets once a month and it works out pretty well. I put a coat/skin conditioner after they dry off so their skin doesnt get too dry

  • Aw, mine would never do that, and I've found that ferrets have terrible fur for searching for fleas, its so thick the fleas can easily disappear,

  • que lindoooooooooo

  • ferret: What a day..

  • why is he so calm??, weird!!

  • lmao! too cute!! he's jus layin there

  • OMG OMG!!! Too cute! My heart is broke in two!

  • Explodes from cuteness overload.

  • My ferrets frantically try to escape when they hear water running... Very inconvenient on hot summer days.

And what a lovely little fatass :) I love it when ferrets get big in the winter.

  • Good little ferret!!!

  • My baby ferret hates taking a bath...

  • hahaha! he looks like hes enjoying himself at a spa! cute!

  • he he I see his " bellybutton"

  • I cant believe he was so calm. Mine like showers but ... baths not so much. What the hell do you feed that thing ? He looks very fit. Marshall, Evo, Vita , meat ?

  • @yynnmmbb I hope meat (L)

  • My ferrets are never calm.

  • Man I want a Ferret so bad...they're hilarious. Some of the funniest and most fun pets ever.

  • i have 4 ferrets and when they are in the bath none of them sit still

  • Wow, When I give my ferret a bath, he tends to go crazy. Consider your self one of the luckier ferret owners. I still love my peanut though :D

  • very spoiled fellow indeed! LOL

  • Ohh he is lovin' that. What a sweetie pie.

  • How did you do that without your ferret freaking out? Mine always does so I'm worried that I do it wrong. :[

  • RIP marmot - you are sorely missed

  • omg thats exactly what my fat ferret casper does!!!(() your ferret is so overly cute!!$^*

  • cutie pootie

  • hey im going to buy a ferret can u please tell me more about this animals....pleasee!!

  • @chanelita8 Ummm, do some research. Read a book. Don't impulse buy these heart theifs. They require work. We don't need any more ferrets in the shelters... (0.0)

  • @HammyWuver

or better yet get a pet raccoon or badger :D

just so you never ever again will want any pet :D

  • @HammyWuver They're not as hard as you think. I have three and they are each perfectly healthy and happy.

  • @HammyWuver I am getting my other ferret from a shelter. I soon want to foster ferrets :]

  • Hey I use to get one of mine to float on his back in the water, but now he won't do it. how did you get yours to do it?

  • I have a few questions about ferrets. 1. Are they expensive + their accessories.

    2. Is litter box training hard and do you have to clean the box everyday?

    3. Do they smell if so how do you keep them not smell.

    4. If your away (like in school) do you keep them in a cage and if you do, do you setup food and water. or what?

    5. can you make them do tricks like give a paw rollover and jump?

  • @iEatN00bz4breakfast Ferrets can go for $100 or up, I wouldn't really trust them for anything cheaper, and if you can get a bigger cage the better, which vary, ours was about 200 if I remember right and it's four or five feet tall. They don't need one that large though. They'll play with practically anything, so once you get the cage, the bed, and litter boxes for the corners you'll be fine. They poop where they like though it's usually in corners, so just put litter boxes in the corners they

  • @iEatN00bz4breakfast pick. They don't usually smell, they have scent glands kinda like a skunk but those are taken care of before you buy them. If you're away you should keep them in the cage, they'll chew on wires and everything. They should only really be out if you're watching them or the room is completely ferret proof, which is unlikely, trust me they're crafty. Just a hamster water bottle and a food dish will work. They can learn tricks but it'll take some patience. They're great pets C:

  • @Akikage what??? yes ferrets have a natural smell, like every animal does, AND a scent gland which you are NOT allowed to let be removed, according to animal rights. but they really barely using that.

Ferrets never ever chew on cables... they are predators, like cats. They do try to bite into everything once to try if its eatable or what it feels like.. but thats it. 2 years 2 ferrets living free in my apartment day and night and I never had 1 cable bitten ever.

  • @Kirijirii oh again about the scent glands... probably depends on the country you're from, if you can get them removed or not... but you might want to look that up before you get one

  • @Kirijirii It's great that your ferrets never chew on cables. Mine never did either, but MANY ferrets do. They are famous for it. It's best to leave them in their cage while your gone.

As far as the scent gland goes, I got mine in Oregon and his gland had been removed. They have a VERY strong smell even without the gland. Not like a regular pet. The reek!!! But totally worth it!

Just wanted to clear somethings up in case anyone reading is thinking of getting one.

  • @bemaddy I've never met so whose ferrets chew on any cables..but maybe there are..and I can't get my ferrets to not dig out my plants, other ferrets have no interest in them..probably varies a lot.

in most countries in europe its forbidden by law to remove the scent gland as far as I've read..but law varies according to were you live. mine have their ovaries removed and barely use the scent gland..can't claim that they smell worse then dogs actually..but some people are quite sensitive to smell

  • @Akikage Even with the gland removed, they're fairl smelly. Worth it though :)

  • @bemaddy They dont smell cats and dogs have a smell too but because there more common they tend to be easeir to get used too. ferrets are just unique. cats can get the smell removed but we dont cus were used to it. I Love the smell of alot of animals. maby not farm animals or monkeys but they smell of there on scat anyway :/ but i like the smell of ferrets reminds me of....me :3

  • @iEatN00bz4breakfast 1) if you can, buy them at a breeder, just be careful where you get them, and that they and their parents look healthy and hyper and usually you can make a fair price then (100$), if they already had all the baby treatments (vaccination) and stuff... but every year a new vaccination and when they are 1 year you need to get them castrated (boys and girls) for about the same price as the ferrets themselfs..... and you need at least 2.. not the cheapest pet then

  • @iEatN00bz4breakfast

    2) they get it pretty quickly, not hard at all, put a box into the corner they choose anyway.. I have just 1 for my whole room, because they go there anyway

    3) yes they smell, if you can't handle that, its the wrong pet, so smell on them before you buy them... you can wash them with babyshampoo but please not that often (once every week or 2 weeks, some say never ever), not good for their skin

    4) you can keep them in a cage (2m² for 1 ferret at least), dry food and water

  • @Kirijirii Ferrets vary radically. Mine never really got the hang of the litterbox, though some do pretty easily. On the other hand, he loved bath time while other ferrets hate it.

  • @iEatN00bz4breakfast 5) tricks possible, but not easy... mine can't if you don't count killing plants and spilling drinks ^^

  • pink belly.

  • lol His face looks like, "As soon as I get out of here, I'm shitting in your shoe!" lol He's cute though.

  • Omg i wish my ferret was this calm for shower time lol

  • Obviously he/she is content. Why negative comments...and forkinback1. YOU'RE A FUCKING DISGRACE!!!!!

  • dont drown the ferret -.-

  • Wow I am really surprised I didn't see any asinine comments about the women trying to drown the ferret. Almost every pet bathing video you see on here, there's one person who has to say "What a mean human, the poor creature is being drown in the bath" which clearly is not happening. If they were really trying to drown their pet why would they post it on youtube?

  • @Forkinback1 wow your really rude and cruel, how could u say that about an animal... u are so rude... it sickens me :l

  • he just need a lady ferret and some fine wine
