Is this the only day in the life style vid that you did or is there more? For some reason I thought I saw another similar vid on your channel a while back but now I cant find it. Thanks.
@Atthechipy I might do another one of these "day in the life" videos at some point but to be honest, pretty much every weekend has some combination of the same stuff.
@eljefe010 I'll be up there in a month to do the "3 State, 3 Mountain Century" for the 4th year in a row. It's a great ride and I'm looking forward to doing it. Cheers!
38 miles in two hours sounds like an average of 19 mph. I used to be pretty serious in biking and I know how hard that is. Have you ever considered professional racing?
That ride on Saturday was a challenging ride for me. I really had to work to get that avg speed. I actually have done some lower level citizen racing (criteriums & road races) and got my ass handed to me pretty much every time. I'm fit but not racing fit.
I actually know a couple of former pro cyclists and it's simply amazing how strong they are. My 19mph average over 2 hours is nothing compared to what the pros can do.
Good day, all the food you had looked great! and excellent beer shop! Nice one getting the BrewDog Macallan, I haven't even seen or tried that one in the UK yet so let me know how it is!! The Mikkeller is very good, in fact all of their beers are excellent - they are one of my favourite breweries. And I managed to drink Stone's Imperial Russian Stout on draft at the weekend in London - it was incredible!
The beer store had the Paradox Macallan, Islay and Speyside! I wanted to get all 3 but they were $11 each so I figured I'd try one and get the others if I really liked it.
I had the Mikkeller last night so look for my review of that. I'll try the Stone here pretty soon as well.
$11?! That's pretty expensive, but then a lot of US exports are expensive in the UK (the Paradox beers cost £5ish over here). I've had the Speyside and Smokehead (similar to Islay I believe) and they are good beers - much more subtle than US barrel aged beers. They are great if you like scottish whisky. Their most recent barrel aged beer is a 12.5% IPA aged with fresh strawberries in a whisky barrel from 1965 - it's magnificient.
Be careful your chest hair doesn't get caught in the zipper!
You're lucky you're an endomorph and you can drink that much beer without gaining a bunch of weight. I can barely "afford" to drink more than 1 beer a day... if that much.
Did you get the idea for this video from my video or just from the fact people do videos like this all the time anyway?
PRetty cool. I'd be interested to see what a typical weekday is like for you.
I am pretty lucky that my metabolism is so high. But, in the last 10 years or so I've had to pay attention to how much I eat in comparison to how much I work out. I do burn a lot of calories each week from cycling so that helps a lot.
I got the idea mostly from you although I had been thinking about it off and on. Your video got me to take action and actually do one. I will probably do a weekday one at some point although I don't know how interesting my office could be.

Thanks. I try to keep busy. It's hard for me to sit still, especially when the weather is nice. I think I might have an undiagnosed case of ADD :-)

Oh yea. I could probably average 19 mph for 30 seconds while going down hill.

Yeah, $11 is the most I've paid for a beer so far, and it was for a smaller bottle. But, I do like scotch so I have good expectations.

You bet I keep my eyes open for the poison ivy, we have some back there. Luckily I'm not too sensitive to it.

Great video, made me hungry and thirsty.
I burn about 17 calories in 2 hours.

Thanks! With all the beer and food I eat I need to workout a lot to keep the calories burning.
