our local arcade shut down and now it's on;y avaliable at the movie theaters (but it's broken) and at out universite (which is closed for renovations) T_T
that sucks :(...in montreal they used to have an arcade named Pinocchio amusements. It was there for 15 years almost. One day I showed up over there and it was written "Arcades Closed" so I fought it was closed for a day. Next week I showed up and it's the same thing. They closed it, and everyone I knew was in deep shock. It was the only arcade I had access in my area (there still another one but it's freakin hard to park your car there). Since then am out of WMMT2-3 :(
Well in all there's a way where you don't even have to tap but it much like what shininamaru said breaking though it's the fastest way out if done right you can shave off 3-4 seconds on your time that you took to tap and slow down where as you drift and speed through. I won't boost but it is possitble cause I mastered a level using this tech aready.
I think a lot of the people that watch videos are stupid and all they do is go WTF WAS THAT?! Wall tapping is used so they don't have to slow down into the turn and so they can get a better exit speed. Of course there are turns that might look like you should wall tap, such as the C1 inbound left hairpin, but is actually better if you take it by braking and taking a better line.
i don't know if that really applies to this game, since your taking turns at over 120mph on most turns i don't really think lines matter in this game hahah
technically brakes are faster (.888. videos, although he walltaps too), but its just very easy to stuff up with brakes. with walltap, you don't have 2 worry about brake timing and position, but just position of the tap alone
Oh I'm sorry, the correct answer is YES THEY ARE! The technique known as 'wall-tapping' is mainly used to slow the car down to the proper speed so that the player does not need to worry about attacking the turn too fast.
i tried doing hp settings of 680-720 and i always hit the wall, im just not used to the power. I really cant make out what this guy is doing to control 760hp. ive gotten a bit faster with 660 now though, 2'16'3xx.
totally agree. in fact the car is extremely hard to control in hakone unless it is in drift mode. the "drift" will slide you through in the angle just right and thats why all the turns seem hard at low hp: because the cars turn at much smaller angle, causing trouble when you try to get a good line
its a 760, buh far out i can never reach this speed even at 760....always gettin 2'17'707....gahh...ppl get 2'14 or lower these days n i can never know why....
dang man 760hp. thats damn good. i notice that some parts you either use the breaks or let go of the accelerator. which is it? i cant tell between letting to go the accelerator or using the breaks
Gemballa, gemballa, gemballa. whats the big fucking deal? Goddamn it. So we all have gemballa. Do we care?? -.-'

lol um yes they do, notice how the guy enters inside and exits outside. thats the line you're suppose to take if you want a good time in this game.

XERO6356 5 years ago
that;s because you were not willing(or at least not used) to releasing the petal or braking when they were needed
harrislam 4 years ago
dude, thats not fair. i use 660hp and i can pull off a 2'16'8xx, how can you even control 760hp on hakone???
XERO6356 5 years ago
i gotta admit, ur actually pro for pullin a 2'16 at 660, i pull that at 740 believe it or not XD
nophrillz 5 years ago
hakone's actually meant to be drifted not be gripped. 2'16 with 660 is pretty good, but why not try at least 700 or 720?
