My CX makes that same noise!! Did you figure out what the problem was?

I disassembled the rear brake and cleaned it, also used some abrasive paper on the brake. There was pretty much dust in the drum, it also was a little rusty.

You may also have a look at the whole system from pedal to drum, maybe there's a slack hinge or something.
