  • Jackie Robinson was a true American hero. I've spent a lot of years researching his life and career.

This video was made by 8th graders? I'm impressed! Nice work, guys! Hopefully I'll see you in an MLB press box some day!

  • can somebody tell me the name of the song at the beginning. thnks

  • @TheBrazucada stairway to heaven

  • His Brother Matthew mac Robinson was on the same Olympic Team as Jessie Owens. He finished 0.4 seconds behind Jessie Owens. He was the First black Baseball Player to intergrate Baseball. However many people forget about Michale Gonzalez and Dolf Luque two Cuban ball players whom both played and Managed in the Major Leagues between the 1900's till about the 30's

  • I have footage posted on Youtube of an interview I did of Jackie Robinson's grandson.

  • dude not bad for 2 8th graders hey neil

  • Great job. My students are reading a short selection about Jackie Robinson tomorrow. I'm planning on showing them your video as well. Thank you for this great resource!

  • oh wow. sorry man im more of a classical kid...

  • awesome video. Robinson definitely did all this and more for sports. just one question, whats the music that you used in the beginning and end?

  • (Jacki Robinson) Hell you are the man RIP. Thank you for everything you have done !!! : ) you and all the other heroes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Jacki Robinson you are a legend.

  • I found some misinformation, although he was born in georgia, he grew up in pasadena, california.

Also he was not drafted as a lieutenant, he earned that title after being drafted.

  • nicely done! the 42 day cycle that connects back to the birth of Christ crossed through 19470415, the day Jackie broke the color barrier. We celebrated Jackie Robinson Day at Wrigley Field with my family yesterday. Our middle son, Thomas (born on July 4th) caught his first foul ball at Wrigley. How appropriate!!

    Thanks again!!

  • Nice quality, would have like to see more clips of him playing (I don't know how many clips there are, but I am sure there are more), and more in general.... for a 'cliff notes' version... this was good and respectful, but a documentary of the man himself, could be much longer... Good job though, I liked the song

  • Hey, Good job man, I'm doing it on this guy also for a report.
