  • Just finished watching all 10 clips, it's 8:24AM, and I've had no sleep. That was one trippy movie, my head is fucked.

  • @Youcantbetocareful Wow, I'll take that as a compliment

  • @Youcantbetocareful Same man! lol, Im fucken tired but I just wanna keep watching. lol

  • wow my names tracey and im 15 0.o holy shit xD lol that was a very interesting movie i loved it :D haha Made me realize alot of things :3

  • holy shit this movie was deep and fucking intense at the same time im gonna have to show this to some of my buddies

  • I loved how she walked away from the guy when he called her name :)

  • an amazing film

  • I'm fucking impressed.

    (love her!)

  • Oh i didnt get it till i read the comments

  • most metal movie ever

  • So, the blizzard is a symbol of adulthood...Her "Boyfriend" was really just some guy she hooked up with in a car....And her little brother represents her childhood? I'm confused but I get it at the same time....And btw, I LOVE Ryan Cooley. He is cute and hilarious..."Geez, I'm going blind! Put some clothes on!" The fact she is wearing nothing but a curtain is sad, but Ryan is funny(: Anyways, great movie.

  • ummmmmmm so her bro died??? :(

  • a lil hard to follow but but still a f***ing great movie :D

  • This movie so so amazing. :) Ellen Page embodied the character of Tracey so unbelievably well... So much well-created symbolism. Its different from most movies but its so good... :)

  • That movie was intense.

  • Name of song that begins at 4:02 ?I know it's by broken social scene but I can't find it :(

  • @Imawakeitsmorning Apparently it's been untitled for 2 years and still is

  • This movie, was phenomenal.

  • this movie is amazing... the whole thing, every part of it is freaking wonderful. Ellen Page is the perfect person to play the part of her... I can't explain how much I love this movie lol

  • How someone can find Ellen Page ugly is beyond me, she is beautiful in a true, natural way, she doesn't have or need fake plastic surgery or makeup/post camera effects to look beautiful like modern day actresses who are considered "Hot" like Megan Fox and others, Ellen Page is just naturally gorgeous (and an incredible actress as well)

  • weird movie.........

  • ummmmmm im lost 0.0

  • @j4m3sr0y4l why?

  • @xXKatiebuggXx becuz i thought it was an actaul movie for the sake of being a movie not all this sybolistic stuff haha

  • I'd give this movie five stars. It's interesting... The sad part is, I can relate to her on a lot of things.. >.>; Hmmm...

  • is that Sonny in the background at 5:09 ?? on the left of the screen.

  • @lostteen08

No. Sonny is dead. That is not a ghost.

    You should read the book.

  • @maybeyourtheonexxx3 oh ok thanks!! And ya I'm trying to find the book but it's kinda hard to find it! XD

  • I think Sonny represents this last shread of hope and happiness she had going through her early years but once she lost her 'innocence' to Billy Zero, she realized that she had finally grown but she supresses it and tries to reach that hope and happiness of her innocence she lost but she loses herself in the process and keeps chasing after it but never finds it.

  • slim twig is gorgeous in my opinion. and her and billy zero were cute. and it seemed he regretted what he did to her at the end since she walked away. so he realized that he shouldn't have just dumped her on the street like that.

  • I think sunny drowned or something in the stream he was playing near. I dunno, but it's a bit hard to get the concept of this movie. overall it's a pretty brilliant film:]

    x

  • This movie, in it's own way, reminded me of Requiem for a Dream. You have to think to understand it. This movie however seemed a little less "complicated" to me anyway. It may be different for others. Anyway I find this an amazing movie.

  • What was that whole blizzard thing about? I mean it obviously was in her head but did it represent anything?

  • Some say it symbolizes her welcome to adult hood. Throughout the movie Tracey was looking for her bro sonny but it is revealed that he was dead the whole time, it's like she's chasing after her childhood but it is impossible to be given back and comes to terms with her life and is able to freely walk in the blizzard into adulthood and smiles to herself. You'll notice when she lost her virginity to Billy zero she lost her brother around the same time, symbolizing her lost innocence.

  • So did Tracey never have a brother? I mean, I thought that was interesting. Becase then Sonny represents her youth. A lot of what she experiences is in her head. I mean, why is she talking to the bus driver?

Also, what was the point of tracey hypnotizing Sonny?

  • Yes, tracey did have a brother but you can interpret the story anyway you want as sonny never being there. You can check out the novel the movie was based on. I don't have all the answer but check out imdb(dot) com tracey fragments symbolism thread.

  • Wow, I'd never thought of that. I think that is an 'extra' meaning and that most of the film did really happen, ie. there really was a blizzard.

  • @Sordum you just said EXACTLY what i had previously said...

  • I'm not sure, but people always used it as a reason to keep her inside. She said "no one can make me stand still" so I think it was just a representation of what she was willing to go through to find Sonny. That's what I got.

  • What's the name of the song at the end?

  • @Imawakeitsmorning

Each New Day by Rose Melberg. it's my fav

  • Oh...I meant the Broken Social Scene song at the end, after Each new day. Sorry for the confusion.

  • what's the exact relationship between slim and ellen in the movie? because in the end, it looked as if he regret what he did

  • Thanks for putting this film together in a sequential order, it's great watching it like a normal movie. I like the song at the end of the movie (at the credits).

  • Was that Ryan Cooley?

  • Comment removed

  • Movies are supposed to be discussed... get over it. =/

  • at 5:09 who the hell was the running?

  • & billy zero really did not like her. she was just a booty-call.

she felt he was the only person who understanded her so she thought highly of him as if they were dating. he feels sorry for her at the end but her mind is lost.

tracy is a lost-soul when you put it all together. a true nut-job.

  • 4 those who don't get the movie. all this is happening in her head. she did run away but alot of the stuff you see is coming from her point of view. she's a teenager/loner so of course her point of view is going to a lil messed up and over-the-top. she is losing her mind and that's where the fragmented stuff comes in to place.

it will only make sense of your really down to earth and can think out-side-the-box.

  • It seems to be the focus that even though Tracey saw Billy zero as the guy she had something in common with, someone who was picked on and different was exactly the same a**hole that everyone else was at her school. None other than the fact he becomes friends with the guy who always picked on her. He seems to try to reach out for her but she is lost in her own fragmented mind, he did a lot of damage then he thought.

  • I've now seen this version and tought this trough...

Tracey made Sonny drown by accident.

She finds Sonnys cap,? gets back to her parents, and tells them that Sonny has gone missing.

She escapes from home again to look for Sonny (who probably is dead).

The times she sees Sonny he doesn't really exist, she's just imagening or hallucinateing him.

Long later she ends up on that buss, wraped in that curtain.

She gets off the buss and keeps looking for Sonny.

    Anyone see this different?

  • This movie was great... I got is like this:

Every time Tracey chases Sonny it's just her imagination that she ses him. + the love scenes when Billy were nice to her, that was also her imagination.

Then at the end she finds out that Sonny has drowned. At the end she wander off, she doesn't want to go home so she has absolutely nowhere to go.

So she ends up homeless and even more depressed now hat she know that Sonny is dead, all alone.

PLEASE correct me if you think I got this wrong

  • Well i don't think he has drown (they would have found the body, it was near their house) but neither any time she seen him was real.

And I don't think she ends up homeless, I mean it's open ending, and just take into consideration that she comes back (form city to at least park near her house) so she might as well come back.

In the orginal I guess it's more about her inner struggle with what she did, and that struggle is won (she finaly accepts real memories).

  • This movie was very good.

  • I ..... am......... soo....... lost!

  • so did she go home at the end or what? i dont understand it.

  • OK! I've watched this movie twice ( both versions) i prefered the multi-screened one cause it shows how screwed up she felt and i liked this one cause it's a bit easier to understand.

    Still a very good movie!!!!!

  • Ryan Cooley's cute but he did a good job acting :D

Why is she still walking though????

  • THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR UPLOADING!

i love this movie...lots of people didnt like it i heard but i dont care its one of my favorite movies now

  • know that kid at the end who says to put some clothes on, if i was her i wouldhave walked up to him and said,"YOU FUCK ASS!,I WAS JUST KIDDNAPPED AND RAPED!YOU STUPID PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT!" THATS WHAT I WOULD HAVE SAID! THEN PUNCH HE BULLY AND HER "

  • whats the song at the end?

  • No problemo:)

i actually fell in love with it too!

its called each new day by rose melburg or melberg i forget :)

  • Thanks again :D

  • Rose Melberg, of the legendary indie pop group "the softies", she's indie pop royalty :)

  • ahah OMG wooow ryan cooley. "IM GOING BLIND PUT SOME CLOTHS ON!!!"

  • I love how he's like "Hey, umm.... Tracey..." and she just keeps walking.

  • A PERFECT MOVIE.... i like it... thanks for uploading...

  • that was arthouse

  • What's not to get? I don't get how someone can't "get it".

  • in the end, she was fucking her imaginary dream guy while her brother was drownding, and the rest of the story was made up to look like she went out to search for her brother when really she ran away. in the story she says "something happend the other day, but i cant tell you because you will end up like me sitting on a bus looking for someone

  • NO what happens is her little brother, represents her child hood and her "virginity" but the guy she bang banged was real only he only used her so she made up this whole story in her imagination that he loved her. Notice how her little bro disappears AS SOON as she gets in the car he disappears. and the storm everyones talking about is the storm of adulthood. the whole movie is about symbolism of a teenage life. and when shes look for him, shes searchign for her childhood again

  • that is really deep i couldn´t see it that way

  • Oh my god thank you. This movie finally makes better sense to me now.

  • @iamspeaker

    UR AMAZING....

  • @iamspeaker exactly, but you gotta understand that the reason why you can see your comment from a year ago and mine 5 months ago is because youtube got a new layout and our comments are highly rated. I was just responding to people who were asking the same question and didn't want to look through a loads of pages from your comment ages ago at the time.

  • what is the song that plays after Each New Day? the instrumental one!

  • this was a good version

but the original has you wondering all the way to the end!

  • what was that?

Ellen was outstanding, but I really didn't get what the story was. sorry, am i missing something. this movie is lacking an ending.

  • watch the other version

  • in the end, she was fucking her imaginary dream guy while her brother was drownding, and the rest of the story was made up to look like she went out to search for her brother when really she ran away. in the story she says "something happend the other day, but i cant tell you because you will end up like me sitting on a bus looking for someone

  • Billy's really hot.

  • O yes.

  • amen.

  • anyone who what the last song is ?

not the rose melberg one...the other one, the last one.

  • Gone or Missing - Broken Social Scene

  • The song is actually Each New Day - Rose Melberg

  • It is the Rose Melberg one :-)

  • hey - love your work-really awesome job!

but where did you get this version of the song each new day by rose melberg (second to last song on the clip)?

the one on her album and on the soundtrack is a much slower version and I like the one you used more

  • ~~~~Dido on the song!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~

  • Ok I'm STILL confused about this movie. I've seen all the trailors and different versions of it like this one and I am still wondering 1: Is Tracey actually nuts and all this is in her head and 2: if not, WHERE IS SONNY? If this is the end of the movie, even the fragmented version, then what happened to Sonny? Can anyone anywhere answer these questions? Enlighten me please. I want to see it but if I don't have some understanding of it, then I won't waste my money.

  • Our minds our skewed. Life isn't linear. If that's not your thing then don't watch the film. Because most of your questions aren't answered. I've seen the film already. So, yeah don't go see it if you expect the film to answer all of those questions. And life is like that with most people anyways.

  • True. However, most stories in life are linear. There's a beginning, middle and end to the story. I did finally see this ....online and... wow.. I know filmmalers cut shot footage but so much was cut from this. It's only 75 minutes long. And if I didn't know already about the movie, ins and outs, I would have been lost. I'm afraid that this won't make any money due to its confusion factor. If most people are like this, then, in my heart, I hope they get the help they need. This girl was hurting.

  • Bruce McDonald doesn't make movies like this to make money. That's why you see him directing Queer as Folk or Degrassi that's where he makes his money. Films like this is just for festival people and because their personal to him.

  • ~~~~Sonny DROWNED when she wasn't watching him and she never said exactly where she found his hat and they will never find his body cuz of her not being fully honest!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~

  • That's what I thought until she went on this "quest" to find him. Even seeing it in a linear way, it's still confusing. Thanks.

  • ~~~~Don't be confused when she sees him all over the place cuz it's all in her head and it's normal to see allusions of what your most worried about that's alsolost!!!!!!!~~~~

  • Yeah I figured that since she could never catch him but that's very insiteful. Bravo.

  • wow..

  • Ok so I'm cinfused.... his name was Billy Speed in the book why did they change it to Billy Zero?... but I love what you did with this Kudos!!! I love Ellen and Ryan Cooley huge Degrassi nerd...lol....

  • Yeah, they did change the name. Because they felt like it. Which is sooo cool. And it was the same writer who did that.

  • i was just wondering.... I really liked the book. and love ryan cooley... i just watch the regular one and it made more sence then the unfragmented one.

  • I've got it. 'Each New Day' by Rose Melberg

  • Do you mean the song at the end when Tracey is walking?

It's by Broken Social Scene but is untitled as far as I know. I love the song.

  • @MCAN I want that song so bad! Love BSS

  • what song is this please reply if you know :D

    thanks!

  • this movie was so outstading and incredible and the ending was great! thanks for uploading so much~

  • What band and song name is this? it's great.

  • I dont think this was the movie. I think it was like another version. the movie is called The tracey fragments.

But I am glad that it ended like this.. not finding him. for some reason, I think she made all of that up in her mind. she said her father called her an exaggerater. maybe she exaggerated all of this up.

I loved it. I love Ellen.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • yeah its on the description

  • wtf she never finds him?? Thats the most horribly depreessing movie ever holy fucking shit!

  • this is a great movie.. only you didn't understand it. her brother drowned. she knows that he is dead, but she cant really beleave in it. its psichology.

  • lol calm down dude, this girl rocks!

  • lol calm down dude, this girl rocks!

  • ... outstanding is my overall assessment of your entire production/version. Enjoyed emphasis on the unity and the critical interplay of the interior (Tracey's black humor &insights) and the exterior (her bleak &limited environment with its various heartless &thoughtless characters). Your approach also provided the opportunity for Ellen's considerable and complex talents and charms to be showcased.

  • Nope there was no flashing at all. It was all shot carefully and never revealed any skin from Ellen.

  • did she flash them or somthing

    did you edit it out?
