sena is the best he might not be strong physically but that spirit of his is unmatched plus the golden legs of his when he runs he leaves everyone in the dust even Agon couldn't keep up with him he was using the god speed impluse on sight so he could react but when sena is directly in front of him he doesn't a ghost in a chance of catching him, ikkyu is good but monta is strickly expert on catching so ikkyu really can't compare to him.

Sena fucking sucks imo, worst main character of all sports anime, Raimon Taro(Monta) is way better.. Sena only beats Shin, Agon, the real Eyeshield 21, Panther and other beasts like a couple of times in a match, while they just destroyed him about 3/4 of the whole match, plus without the paddings and the help of his teammates, he would have been killed, not to mention he has no balls to play the game, i mean how many times did he just shit himself in the pants when facing a strong opponent?

well first, yuki already is fast and he had a headstart, plus he's really tall so when he jumped for the ball, his height and small shoulders gave him a huge reach plus he floored it before he leaped for it. second, knowing agon has a short fuse, he probably couldnt think straight plus agon was in the position to give the chop, with one arm behind and the other giving it out, so he was in no position to grab sena's legs. plus his godspeed impulse works only works if he sees it coming.

Well, if you recall, Yuki's top speed is 5.6 seconds for the 40-yard dash. That's still below average. Remember that Ikkyu's top speed is higher than that backwards, and so wouldn't it stand to reason that he'd be even faster running normally?

The 'god-speed impulse' is merely a classy name for having very good intuition and judgment. Thus, Sena just got lucky... but I guess luck is part of skill, so that counts for something, eh?

again yuki had a head start with no one in his way while ikkyu and agon(that douchebag) had to get around some people before they could get to yuki plus thay werent even paying attention to him once they were behind him, and sena just did what any normal person would do in a situation like that: react. also if I know sena(and I do) he would have floored it before agon could have moved his arms. and I bet the 2,000 km. march must have improved yuki's speed quite a bit.

That's fine, but in the manga (though I'm sure those lazy animators just re-used the picture for the anime), Ikkyu and Agon were just a couple steps behind Yuki; this distance should not have mattered since the yardage they had to cover would have made the players' speeds the deciding factor.

Note, also, that Yuki's speed after the Deathmarch was 5.6 seconds/40 yards.

Again, the fact that Sena acted the way he did to stop Agon was mere chance and luck, which defeats the purpose of the game.

Well, the manga really expands on him, since they had to draw out the game another 3 books. We knew they were gonna win, since they had to face Ojo, so of course Agon was magicaly stronger than he was supposed to be, had magic impulses to be great until the second half (so the Devil Bats could come from behind) and infinite stamina.
