I quit TNA but I don't get why they're booking their PPVs to end so terribly. People drop their money on a PPV to see a definitive payoff, yet TNA has the main event world title matches ending in count outs, disqualifications, etc. It's bullshit and a slap in the face to people who buy their shows. No wonder they get under 10,000 buys each month.
@Trademark629 Dixie has already stated that they don't count on the PPV revenue stream. Why waste something good on something that is watched by 8,000 paid and maybe 50k (downloaded, streamed, etc)? I honestly think they are only doing PPVs based on prior tv contracts. Similar to WWE superstarts. Just stream it like everyone else and take it for what it is.
@JohnnySteamboat19 Ever think maybe those buyrates dwindled down because TNA made the choice to make those PPVs less important by not promoting/building them properly? Maybe if TNA actually treated the shows with importance and used TV to build to PPV they would get better numbers. Don't give TNA this copout excuse because you're basically saying it's okay to charge people $40 for a show and then not give them their money's worth.
@Trademark629 First off u download all your stuff from WWE, TNA, to indys. If i'm a company, your opinion wouldn't matter. Yes TNA PPVs suck, but I don't complain cause I don't by them.
I'm just saying TNA doesn't really put in effort into them anyway except of BFG and Lockdown, so why complain. I thought you were done with TNA anyway. Why not find a new hobby?
@JohnnySteamboat19 I do buy PPVs/DVDs/live event tickets, just not for every show. If a company has earned my money for a specific show then they get it.
@Trademark629 Yes same here, but IMO you act like its the end of the world when you stream a TNA or WWE ppv and you don't like it. Obviously they are entertaining enough for you to spend 3 hours watching them for free....I assume you are entertained cause who would watch something that doesn't bring entertainment?
You don't sit and listen to Justin Beiber songs for 3 hrs saying it sucks, cause you would then be ridiculous for doing something you don't enjoy for 3 hrs...
@JohnnySteamboat19 Exactly. Majority of the people who rant on WWE/TNA ppvs don't even buy the ppvs yet they complain month after month. I really don't understand the point of doing that. Neither compaines are not likely going to change their philosophy on ppvs anytime soon. So people should hold their breath on something that's more meaningful.
Obviously they are entertaining for what they are. You get a few good matches, and every once in a while you get something great. It's not the end of the world when there are a few (and sometimes a lot) of head scratching items on a show. If it affects you that much to get angry and pissy over a show you watched for free, it may be time to quit watching and find something else to do.
This ppv was very solid. Aside from the dq ending to the world title match, most of the matches were ok. The x division 4 way and the monsters ball match stole the show, good stuff.
I know this is your score but 6.25 is way too low for this PPV. This PPV deserves a 7. Undercard was better than you're giving it credit for and the match qualities were not bad for this to get such a 6
Seems like TNA is heading into the right direction with people like Roode and Aries as champions, but they're still hindering w/ poor booking at times.
I actually liked the Storm vs Angle match. That was good. I liked the counters and nearfalls. The Monsters Ball was good, but I have seen better Monsters Ball matches. I didn't like the fact that two matches ended in DQ on the PPV.

100% agree with what you said. I am impressed. Subscribed.
TNA has become such a mediocre product and this ppv is a perfect example of it. RVD looks like he will be heading back to WWE.
I also did a review on this and would appreciate your feedback on it.
