Can anyone tell me how to save progress in this game ?? i mean i have reached part 3 but when i select start i have to start from the begining of the entire game there is a way to save or i have to play it all hover again ?????

@stalkerore you can't save during a run, thus beacause a huge part of the gameplay is staying focused during the whole game. it's only 6 stage long tough , you can do it in about 25-30min from the begenning.

note that you can practice any stage you cleared in practice mode tough.

I was able to do the extra stage after 2-3 hours of plays and training... i was really happy to have win this, it's my 2nd extra cleared, but the first one was the most easy.. ( touhou 8. ) Anyway, congrulation to you for wining =)

I actually thought Imperishable Night's extra stage was more difficult purely because of some of Mokou's spellcards, but that's me.

Maybe for you, but how long have you been playing Imperishable Night compared to Mountain of Faith?

This Extra Stage clear I did in the third day of playing the game, it took some days or weeks to get the hang of handling Imperishable's Extra for me.

Curious on what makes you think Hallow's Giant, Fujiwara Volcano and Hourai Doll are easy though. The last one is the standard Extra Stage endurance test that gets more intense.

I havent finished MoF extra yet, though when I was trawling through some MoF sprite pngs lifted from a game database file I noticed some ending frames that didnt match the 6 ending movies from the main game. Is there another ending movie after the extra stage? I know there hasnt been in all the other Touhou danmaku games.

I didnt think so. Maybe theyre from the bad endings? I dont like completing the main game using continues, I always restart the game from scratch if I lose all my lives (my poor keyboard has taken some abuse) so Ive never seen the bad endings.

The unfamiliar frames look like Reimu sleeping, Reimu with a Shinto shrine symbol pointed at a mountain in a speech bubble and Reimu talking to Marisa with various different food items in Marisa's speech bubble. Ring a bell?

First two cards were actually pretty easy to deal with, I thought... course they require quite a bit of precision...

I noted that the last card requires quite a bit of concentration in the description - like you can't blink as it gets to the more intense phases of the spread... as I did nearing the end.

I just noticed that. I had that noise set for my AIM when someone logged in, made it so I was able to tell apart which AIM login was mine since I have a roommate who uses AIM as well.

Suwako's the only extra boss I've been able to get to the second to last spellcard. Although her spellcards ARE pretty hard-her second spellcard puts a lot of pressure on you, her third spellcard is just plain annoying because the circles are everywhere, and her fourth spellcard looks easy but is actually very hard. Her sixth spellcard catches me off guard because of the bullet shape and speed.

I actually think Suwako ties in difficulty with Mokou(Touhou 8 extra boss). Both of them have their "omfg how do I deal with this" spellcards but many of the attack patterns and spellcards give you a nice break in the action.

...Unlike some bosses tossed at you in Lunatic in the seies.

No, Mokou is definitely one of the hardest extra stage bosses. I can't even get past Keine without bombing like crazy and Mokou's spellcards are very hard, such as Honest Man's Death. Suwako, on the other hand, is probably the easiest extra stage boss. Even I can get to her last spellcard (although I'm usually out of lives and bombs by then and the pressure causes me to die). Well, it's a matter of opinion, I guess.

I think Mokou and Keine are rather easy. They simply have a lot of gimmicks.

I'm tempted to say Koishi for the hardest extra boss. She's awfully hard in general, but she takes a giant difficulty dive at certain points.

I just beat it with Reimu B myself. I believe that one mistake at around 1:25 where you died got me a few times myself. Plus you had homing... so of course it was easier for you (even if the DPS is lower than Reimu B.)

Also, the "river" spell card is a total problem for me.

I do feel Reimu A is a bit of a cop out, which is why I've been playing around again this time with different playsettings, mainly Reimu B.

I dunno, I just like Reimu's mechanics in the game in that she's always had a smaller hitbox than the other characters. For someone as inconsistent/reckless as I can be, that's a pretty big plus.

Don't be afraid to bomb aggressively(just don't do it too much), and focus on survival. In a shmup, especially one like this, you want to make it so that you can cluster all enemy shots in a way that makes it easier for you to dodge.

Quite a few of the enemies in that stage aim toward you, so simple movements to the left/right can dodge their barrages, but you'll have to mix it up a bit around the "waterfall bullet" area.

Focus on survival first.

I mentioned on the (very long) description that, well, I pretty much winged it in this video and I'm still very surprised at how smooth it was.

Man, if only this were more like Phantasm T_T.I mean, this is ... well. it looks so easy. But GJ tho. The only thing I did kinda like were some of the bullet patterns where it made you move a lot more. Especially the ones that had more of a "Flandre's Insanity Mode" speed up to it. Plus the new graphics and better coding system ZUN has, has made it look prettier. What would be so fun though is a remake and enhanced version of PCB with this new graphic engine. I miss the good ol'days of PCB T_T!

compared to phantasm's yukarin, she's a hella a lot easier to deal with. Even though phantasm isn't the "extra" stage, i consider it the hardest. 2nd is mokou in IN, and 3rd is EOSD's extra.

what the....aside from like..3 spell cards. and a few non spellcards... she's got ikaruga like bullet patterns i could do. though i'd probably have issues. but i could probably rreach her last spellcard before i fry after practice. excellent job...but she seems the easiest of the extra bosses. (still need to play EoSD though)
