  • Great review

  • In Australia they cost $8250

  • hell yea

i ride a sport bike too nigga.. but time for a scootah

  • but they still did not make the compartment under the seat wide enough for a helmet. And when you put the key in for start you sometime open the frontcompartment - a button here would be more appropriate. I had a 2008 250ccm GTV and it was very, very easy to ride. the sidetand should be taken away, of you use the sidestand and the street is just "leaning a bit" it will roll - and mine did. use the senterstand.

    ThM - Norway.

  • I own this bike and love it. For me (not having ridden to many other bikes) it was good to hear that this Vespa can definitely hold it's own.... Maybe I don't need to get a cafe racer.......yet.

  • good car but i don"t have monney more

  • Bulky to handle....odd remarks coming from sports bike or cruiser

  • The Vespa 300 GTs is a wolf disguised as sheep :)

  • With a Vespa you know it's gonna be a quality scoot although a bit pricey especially for the upkeep. They are like the Cadillac of scooters! LmL/ Genuine scooters has a great classic scoot in the Stella for almost half the cost.

  • @LunaLakshmi I really love my Internaltional 150, but it definitely is not as comfortable at 55mph as I would lke it to be. The 10 inch wheels just get too busy for my taste. The bigger Vespa I tested before buying really did ride smoother. I just wasn't willing to spend so much for something I wasn't sure would fit into my life. Sadly, my Buddy was just stolen, and am now considering this Vespa as a replacement.

  • People who want a Vespa 300 would not be looking at a GZ250 though. I used to ride motorcycles, but went to scooters after hurting my leg and not feeling good about swinging my leg over the motorcycles. Money is usually not the issue when somone buys a Vespa though cause we know about the other cheaper bikes. For the money GZ250 would be an excellent choice. Good price, good warranty, 65 mpg, 65 mph, reliable. It's nothing like a Vespa 300 though.

  • wow, the dubstep was a surprise, cool vid

  • Those things are absurdly expensive. I wouldn't pay a penny over $1500.00 for either of them.

  • @Hoopermazing I know, right. Vespa is not for everyone, but many of us buy them in part because they are expensive and not everyone can buy one. Of course they are arguably the best scooters out there. For $1500 you are talking a Chinese scooter that comes with no dealer backup, hard to find parts, may or may not run, and is slapped together with inferior parts. If you want a reliable scooter with good dealer support, you need to pay for it and go to Piaggio/Vespa, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kymco.

  • @dkw12002 None of that means anything to me. A Suzuki GZ250 motorcycle has a MSRP of $2,999. There is no way in the hell that I'd pay twice that for a scooter.

  • @Hoopermazing I owned 2 GZ250s, a 2007 and a 2009. Both were good little bikes but they are not interstate worthy. They are fine at 55 mph. At 65 they sound and feel as if they are ready to explode and drop down with a headwind or any hill. At 70, well, my GZ 250 would not go even an indicated 70 which is an actual 66 or so. The Vespa 300 goes 80 mph which is really 75 mph. The GZ 250 is a good little bike although you do need to change gears but not with the Vespa. Apples and oranges.

  • @dkw12002 You missed the point of my previous post. I wouldn't buy GZ250. I merely mentioned it by way of example that the price of a Vespa GTS 300 is within the range of motorcycle prices, which, to me, seems absurd. I'd just buy a motorcycle and call it a day. (Also, even if I someone acquired a Vespa, I wouldn't driving it at freeway speeds. I don't trust those tiny wheels to stabilized those things at high speeds.)

  • basic wasp is fine though there are two faults..

some are over styled for the wild hog brigade and the other major flaw

they are steel prefer plastic myself..

ps pretty girl should have wore some leather...

  • There's gold in them there hills!

  • Finally, a GTS review with some good information, thank you.

  • great review, how did you talk piaggio into lending you scooters to review? i like your style.... good job

  • Just picked up a '10 GTS 300 and it's been a FUN ride so far. I also own a '05 Triumph Thruxton 900 , so I'm not just a scooter guy. And in city driving conditions, the Vespa will out maneuver any bike.(small tires make for a Flickable bike) For city commute I highly recommend a scooter. Also can carry alot more stuff. BTW, you're Cute. ;-)

  • The super 300 does come in 4 colors but GREY isn't one of the choices.... Its listed as TITANIUM not grey, and it is a flat paint not gloss. Also it may be a special order color, I had to special order mine.

  • Great review and GREAT scoots but the price= ouch!!

  • great review on the scoots for sure keep up the good work

  • However , 6 Grand for a Scooter is Ridiculous, I can get a Near Brand new Yamaha R6 For That Price. - I am sure you agree with me on this somewhat?

  • 22HP For a scooter is bad ass!! The 150cc chinese scoots are only pumping out like 9-12 i think,

  • Awesome Review Monica, I got a Dual Sport now, No more street bikes!! These things are fun!! Check out the video i just uploaded yesterday, Dual Sport ride, you should get 1
