  • SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!

  • should have got the Asgard involved or at least a few more warheads. Although that is one hell of a way to eliminate a planet.

  • @mp1p by now, the Asgard were all dead... I think. And if they weren't, the system's sun would soon go supernova and collapse into a black hole. Cause that's just how the Asgard roll.

  • whats the name of background music?

  • This should be a killstreak reward in Modern Warfare 3 lol.

  • that music was annoying and why add credit to yourself at the end, all you did was put a music layer (someone elses work) ontop of stargate footage (someone elses work), i hate when people try to take credit of other peoples work

  • @dportass annoying? bull. Definitely made me jump the first time, I have my laptop hooked into a home theater system, with the volume turned up to maximum (110%). This is true epic music, fits a lot better than the original soundtrack. And did the poster try and take credit of the clip/music? No.

  • Also, this is why the Tau'ri would win against the BSG Colonials.

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master What the Cylons did to Caprica with dozens of ships, they can do with one horrifying bomb, well, technically 6 bombs in one horrifying MIRV.

  • @CobaltX07 begin production of these -one to each ship- and the Lucian Alliance would just give up. Same goes to the BSG colonials. They might attack Earth, nuke one-two cities, then our counterattack makes them die of pure fear.

There were a lot more than six bombs in that MIRV. Were some of them duds? Or decoys?

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master Yes, 6 of them were decoys in case of missile defense systems. The other 6 were about 800 gigatons a pop.

  • @CobaltX07 800 gigatons? Holy... that's the power of the gatebuster?

When Carter said they were multi-gigaton, I thought somewhere in the range of 200-400, but... damn. Now I know why nuke beaming is so damn effective.

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master Well, I'm pretty sure the nuke beaming is with much smaller nukes. Basically, Col. Mitchell says in the same episode that the Mark IX is designed to vaporize everything w/in 100 miles, including the stargate. Surprisingly enough, it takes an 800 gigaton explosion to do this.

  • @CobaltX07 The Ancients built their structures and technology to last.

Just not the early prototypes, the ones that are wasted by a single xenophobic drone shot.

I still thought it was 200-400 GT to turn a stargate into free floating atoms... but 800 GT... wow.

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master Well, it presumably takes alot less power to vaporize the stargate, the Gatebuster was just meant to do this from 100 miles away.

Which, btw, makes it even scarier that Ori priors can apparently shield objects from 800 gigaton explosions.

  • @CobaltX07 At point blank range. WITH THEIR MIND.

An Ori prior could probably wipe out every single Spartan and Marine in the UNSC. The Covenant would take a bit more time.

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master Against Ori controlled worlds...mass drivers work really well, cannot be jammed in any way and even for the Ori, there is only so much their "invincible shields" can absorb...with asteroids and the like, you are talking PURE KINETIC ENERGY...

  • @biancademonet 800 GT with their minds. Yeah.

And SG tried kinetic attacks against an Ori Ascendancy-class frigate once. It didn't work. IT HAD NO DAMN EFFECT.

UNSC worlds would be devastated if even a single Prior landed on them. I speak of the plague. And of the Goddamned Bugs.

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master I'm not talking the railgun weapons mounted on ships like the daedalus. I'm talking asteroids, like what were used in B5 on the Narn Homeworld....no amount of psychic power reallisticly is going to stop/block that and I seem to recall a few episodes revealing that the Ori were neither "all powerful" nor invincible. The revamped beam weapons put on UNSC ships courtesy of the Asgard cut through Ori shields like a hot knife through warm butter

  • @biancademonet Now you're saying the Asgard are going to just give those weapons to the UNSC, when it was not stated before that that was an option.

And I was talking about the Ha'tak going at maximum sublight into the side of the Ori ship, and said Ascendancy Frigate brushed it off.

  • @CobaltX07 Why even bother having decoys? If they're shot down, so what, isn't it wise to maximize offensive power?

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master I assumed it was because either:

    1) The Mk-IX Gatebuster is a freakin expensive weapon and they wanted to be more cost effective or

    2) They only needed six 800 gigaton bombs and any more wouldn't have made a difference so they made them decoys.

  • @CobaltX07 1) I can understand that...

    2) Six more would have set the Asurans even further back. Might even have the added bonus of setting off some of the Replicators ZPMs...

  • @CobaltX07 Just thought of something, imagine fitting MKIX gatebusters into the Horizon. And in the center, have that one tainted ZPM from the SG1 episode "Zero Hour".

  • @Halo1Pokemon1Master Those were Mark IXs, same yield with a smaller warhead. Also, the tainted ZPM would blow up the planet, making the other weapons pointless.

  • @CobaltX07 more or less blow up the whole damn solar system, maybe even wipe out a couple of neighboring systems?

On second thought, maybe not. XD.

Been a long while since I watched this episode... can't find my Season 3 DVDs.

  • This is the Tau'ri's answer to the NOVA bomb. Much more easily mass produced.

  • IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO BE SURE.

  • @Arancaytar Even that wasn't sufficient.

  • Reading the comments here, I just realized... they could make one damn powerful tank on Stargate. Think, take your basic Abrams, replace its gas engine with a naquadah reactor (smallest version available), use naquadah-tipped shells (or shells with naquadah-potassium bombs like the one singularity), and add light shielding to the tank. It would be unstoppable to anything less then an orbital bombardment.

  • @CobaltX07 Naquadria-tipped shells for high explosive rounds.

  • great vid, whats the music ?

  • And it looks like the weapons bay can hold numerous horizon weapons.

  • That's a fucking terrifying weapon. Just think that one shot from a comparitively small 304 can destroy a planetary civilization and render an entire continent lifeless.

  • You do NOT mess with the Tau'ri.

  • Great music for the clip

  • Yeah.......dont fuck with earth.

  • I love this. I always loved stargate but I refuse to believe earth's striking capacity against the alien threats is limited to a variety of 4/5 man teams. :/ This shows that Earth, is bad ass. I wanna' see some tanks every now and then.

  • @ PlayWithDaveyyy - I don't think you'll fit a tank through the stargate lol, You'll have to drive them up ramps into the battlecruiser's fighter bays and magnetically seal them on the deck, and transport them that way.

  • @NCC1701J

    Transport ships. :D

They launch with 302's and have numerous infantry, fast attack vehicles and main battle tanks. Epic. ;]

  • Yeah i've love to see tank pass through a stargate

  • @PlayWithDaveyyy well its more economical to send a smal team than a 6.21 million dollar tank, plus all the support equipment needed to make sure the tank runs properly.

  • Obviously. But it wouldn't be more economical if that small team failed because they got slaughtered by the enemy ground forces and then those forces loaded up onto ships and destroyed Earth! :P

  • @PlayWithDaveyyy yeah but a M1A1 takes up a 4 person crew, not even counitng nescessary support staff. that's a lot more people who could be moles, and plus who says a tank is even made to deal with staff weaponry and the like?

  • Remember they made those plates for the vests in the episode where Janet dies? They were supposed to be alot better at stopping staff shots. Imagine an Abrams' armor modified to use that instead. The staff resistance would be insane. =D

  • @iammjolnir or u could nuke them :D

  • @PlayWithDaveyyy yeah, like a full scale attack on a hostile planet..

  • @jaspertheking4life

Exactly. In ground engagements the US military would so much better than the Wraith or the Goa'uld. Especially considering Atlantis is an internationally run rather than by a single nation.

It would be sick to see a massive battle.

  • @PlayWithDaveyyy yes, the american tanks, the european superfighters and the chinese and americans and russian ground forces how epic would that be? expecialy if you equip them with asgard and Goa'Uld laser weapons :D

  • @jaspertheking4life

Exactly. Also I always believed that the Goa'uld plasma weapons, while cool, are a bit crap. It'd be cooler if they were using ACRs, Scars or M4s(which they do at times).

Also remember that one episode where Dr Lee was working on that Naquada Powered plasma weapon? Carter fires it with a faulty power supply and it either stunned or killed the bounty hunter, I can't quite remember. My point is I bet that weapon perfected and mass produced would be better. ;)

  • @PlayWithDaveyyy yeah, or like this, they find a file in the ancient database, witch allows them to make plasma rounds for in there Scars and FAMAS and p90's

  • @PlayWithDaveyyy Yeah i wish i could of seen like an army assault an alien planet, like 50+ troops at one time, throw in some tanks and choppers and yeah!!

  • I dont like this part of Atlantis yes they were robots, but.....

  • Made Of Win. Take THAT you hive minded vaguely satan-based mindrapist robots.

  • video was cool until the music started.

  • The music is "Escape" by Craig Armstrong

  • hey thats really great video its in my favorites I watch it million times, and Im still thinging about it was right to use nuclear weapons against Aurans...yes they were replicators, yes the were building ships but nuclear weapons are really bad things and use nuclear weapons on Earth were the worst days in our history

  • @Atari326

Well it IS a TV show. Not a moral dilemma.

  • What's the name of the music you put over the actual show's music?

  • great timing and choice of music:D its one of my favorite parts from atlantis.

  • what 's name of this song??? or wt-f?????

  • if the Air Force keeps using all these nukes we won't have any left to use in WW3

  • sgc may have it's own nuke makein factory on an alien world and which is probly why their are so many nukes probly

  • Don't worry- Earth still has plenty of uranium and plutonium to use, and if that runs out, our reactors can make plenty of it!

    Wait, that's bad.

  • The music ruined it for me.

  • the hanging and escape are two separate songs

  • Sounds like Hanging and escape by craig armstrong

  • What is this song called?

  • u r a tool

  • you are a moron

  • What is the name of music?please

  • That's ALOT of nukage lol.

  • But not enough...

  • @zealot256 Don't fuck with earth.

  • I love the song.

  • Thankyou "ultmtserenity" for the song, i just bought it on iTunes!

  • Love It, I Simply Love It.

  • the song is called... escape... by craig armstrong... and yes it is spectacular

  • can someone please tell me the name of this song? please? it's spectacular, thanks voyager, made my dy again. and thanks to anyone who tells me the songs name.

  • Escape, by Craig Armstrong

  • thank you so much. i appreciate it.

  • oh and im also wondering this if there is two time dialtion field one that slows things down 1k slower and one time dialtion field the makes everying 1k faster would it cancel each other out then if so the if they sent a time dialation field onto the planet then make a time dialation that makes everyhing faster on a ship and on the people cant tehy just commadeer the replicators city ships and aurora class ships???

  • one that made no sence two replicator ships would require a relicator to fly, the ATA gene would have no effect

  • how do you know? :P

    ARE YOU A REPLICATER!?!?!

    :P

    lol

maybe the replicators (who in fact are really like their creators) are arrogant and thinks no one can steal their ships or anything bad can happen cuz they are superior....

  • nobody pays attention to the backstory, and if you put everything together you understand how the whole thing works

  • lol love this episode funny thing is it always reminds me of the judgement day in terminator, musics goes well :)

  • Great video shame about the music.

  • was that earth

  • Beautiful music! Do you know the name of the song?

  • It's called 'Escape' by Craig Armstrong (it's not the original version though)

  • why didnt the ancients just blow up the sun in that solar system like how the asgard failed attempt but this time ACCUALY WORK they shouldve just disposed of them another way like blowing up the planet or making it super heated or freaking put up a time dialation field powered by a z.p.m that would last milliniems

  • There is so many flaws to that idea, one being that giving up a ZPM would mean less power for defenses and also that reps can move fast and build fast doing anything like nuking them like they did will just stall them which they don't seem to mind because they are not in a hurry.

  • lol they wouldnt have to use a ZPM or to rodney's way ZedPM anyways they can just use a asgard core which they can rebuild and relativley speaking they know what a zpm is made of then why dont they just copy it with the asgard core

  • hmm never though of that, but yeh nice idea but also we know teh reps can break out of time dilation fields so it wouldnt matter.

  • yah just because they reached the time dialation field before it was initiated it and reversed it but if they initiated the time dialation field around a force field then they could virtually trap them there for milliniums

  • Can't reps go through shields, im sure they have a shield modulator thingy, becasue they can get pass asgard shields easyly enought.

  • true that your points are valid but they were able to get through asgard shield because of the fact that the force was implemented in one small portion of the shield they shot independent repli blocks into asgard shields and supposedly the milky way galaxy repli arent as advanced and plus they can just send multiple time dialation fields and plus they couldve just sent atime dialation field rather than blow it up with multiple bombs

  • What's the song?

  • the ark of truth is awesome. the end is awesome

  • cool vid, nice background music too

  • trop cool

  • You think in season 5 the Ori will come back, we never knew what happen to them at the end of Stargate SG-1

  • No, the movie SG: The Ark of Truth is going to end the Ori story plot using SG-1 and the Oddyssey.

  • IS that out yet? B/c I so want that movie and the other movie as well.

  • Look it up on the Wiki. It looks like it'll be out on March 11th 2008 right now, but that's flexible as a date. Definantly not out yet though, either one.

  • i looked it up on amazon. COmes out the 18th i think but like you said it's not definite.

  • Yes.

  • For anyone that wants to know, the music is Escape by Craig Armstrong.(an edited version)

  • Thanks.

  • this remind me of the attack of the cylons in BSG

  • is that episode Midway?

What music is that? I love it...

why don't they just fire like 15Mk IXs and destroy the Asuran Empire? Because they want to test out those PRWARWs?

  • This was explained in the episode. Brute force won't kill the Asurans, the only reason the Horizon was of any effect here is that these were ships under contruction on the surface, basically an Asuran shipyard. It was to make the months of effort and resources they put into thier fleet worthless, not to wipe them out, which a nuke couldn't do due to thier nanotect nature only needing one microscopic robot to survive to rebuild everything.

  • you're forgetting something, those are Mark IX 'Gatebuster' Naqadriah enhanced nukes with a yield of more than 2 Gigatons. The nukes would definitely vaporise any nanites. And if the Ancients knew how to build ARGs and knowledge about kiron pathways then why didn't they use a giant PWARW? why did they use ships?

  • Can't be sure why the Anchients didn't develop ARGs at that time, perhaps the war with the Wrath was too much of a distraction, but developed the technology or the knowledge to do so later. But the episode catagorically said "The nukes won't harm the replicators" At the point where Weir, Sheppard, and the captain of the Apollo were doing the mission briefing. Can't fight the scripted facts.

  • nukes won't harm them because even if one nanite manages to escape then the asurans still live. So thats why nukes are ineffective.

But the asurans know how to mass-produce ZPMs so i'd want to know that...

  • The Ancients werent concerned about the replicators remember?

they could not harm their creators.

  • but the ancients still care about other sentient beings. They wouldn't just let the replicators loose after they go to destroy the other sentient beings (not including wraith).

EMPs are only effective against individual nanites but can still be activated manually (like mackay did)

  • Why dont they use EMP's ????

  • Because if EMPs had any effect, the Asgard would have easily polished off the original replicators. Not to mention Earth wouldn't be bothering to make a purpose built PWARW (Planetary Wide Anti Replicator Weapon) if a bog standard EMP blast would kill them, they already have plenty of nukes to generate EMP blasts with.

  • The Asurans are totally different to the replicator that the Asgard were fighting.

  • Perhaps in origin totally different, but as a technology, little nanites forming human shapes, very similar. And considering the same ARWs that worked on the original replicators also worked on the Asurans, they must be based on the same Kiron pathway technology, they definantly have the same subspace communication abilities. Different cultures and creation tales, based on the same scientific principles and vunerabilities.

  • I think their origin is the same, but their path is different.

We know the replicators the Asgard fought come from a human form replicator girl. she made them as toys. It is possible an sympathetic ancient brought her back to earth from Atlantis, and then out in to the milky way.

and when she made her toys, the aggressive code was still present and that is why they attacked.

  • Their origin may be related. However, the Replicators the Asgard fought didn't come from a human form Replicator. They were original the toys (of/created by) the android named Reese (Played by: Danielle Nicolet - SG1 episode S.5 Ep.19 "The Menace"). It is possible as you suggest that an Ancient form Atlantis had something to do with her creation. Their are other similarities, a time traveling puddle jumper, that come to mind. It is also possible that they are not connected.

  • Yes and also, the replicators had access to the entire world infrastructure both surface and subterranean. Surely the entire planet can be deemed to be declared to be made by replicators. Nonetheless an EMP even a modified one would not be capable of wiping them out, it would take much more than simple brute force to defeat them...their weakness lies in their programing. Their agressive feature is what makes them dangerous.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo ya you are right.

  • New ship

  • Whats the music called?

  • only one word comes to mind.....EPIC!!!

  • indeed, pretty much the longest single effects shot so far in either series.

  • This reminds me of the attack on caprica in BSG.

  • then that problem is out of the way

hel the Horizon weapon probaly the most dangerous weapon the humanity have seen on such a good serie who play at this momement of the year

  • could the cylons from battlestar galactica have had something like the Horizon weapons platform that we just seen hit the colonies like the Atlantis team in "First Strike"

  • what is the name of this song? i lkie it

  • Bombas Mark-IX en acción!!

  • who is that guy in command of the ship?

  • Oh very nice song, could you please tell me the name?

  • oh.... it's one of the newer Daedalus class ships built by USAF....thanx...

  • It is the apollo not 100% sure how it is in command. The missile is a MIRV (Multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle).

  • what ship is that? and how is in command....

  • did the deadelas blow up and that ship is replacing it like the oddesy replacing the promethius, and what replicator fleet. It looked like they just randomly blew up some planet

  • The fleet was being built on the planets surface

  • i want to know wich season is this from cuse i dont think i have seen this episode. whats the name of the episode and the season.

  • season 3 episode 20 "first strike"

  • what song did you use?

  • from tenwings dot willbedefeated dot com

  • Xbogey it aint really much of a missle though if it just breaks up its more lik a pod wid missles n rokets :):):):D:D:D

  • This is freaken awesome!! How can I get this on my myspace account and where can I find the song?

  • I cant seem to find that song anywhere were can i get it?

  • Why is it sad? Because that person actually knows something, and isn't a complete moron like you?

  • Wow, why would they make that missle look so stupid. Oh, well. Stupid show, stupid missle. God, I miss Sg-1.

  • sg-1 jumped the shark with the whole ori thing. didn't watch much past 'avalon'

  • Hey, the Ori plot is interesting! The Goauld and replicators were getting stale - it was time for a change.

  • come on their storylines arent that bad, there actually good.Yeah they needed a new storyline but they could have thought of something better

  • Ahem, the missiles have stupid smoke in Battlestar Galactica too LOL and I haven't heard anyone complaining. Also as far as I'm concerned Sg1 is dead. In the last series they've turned it into some kind of Andromeda clone bleah. IMO SG-Atlantis has managed to maintain the spirit that made SG1 a success

  • Sad? This is a fact I added to inform people, information is never a bad thing. You are sad, telling me to get a life while you are posting a totally useles comment.

  • Nice vid, though i saw a goof: the smoke out of the rocket while its still in space isnt right.. the smoke would start expanding infinitly in a vacuum, and it doesnt .. so you shouldnt be able to see smoke

  • but the fact that ships explode in space is alright? lol

  • you make no sense man, of course you'd see smoke, does smoke expand faster than a rocket?

  • In a perfect vacuum, like space, it does. Now you make no sense.

  • the view is under the cloud and the smoke is in the atmosphere not in the space and because of the gravity the smoke can not goes in space laolz

  • ok start watching from 0:07. Check the upper left corner of the video... You can see the curvature of the planet. That indicates the ship is very much in space.. Eventually it gets into the admosphere, and then the smoke should be visible, I agree.. But before it enters the atmosphere you should not be able to see smoke.

  • OWNED! lol

  • Thats Colonel Abe Ellis. The new commander of the Apollo.

  • Who's the black guy new captin? OR new captin to a new ship. (aint bein racist, just discriptive.)

  • can you upload the whole episode if that is possible please?

  • dis vids awesome, i rememba watching episod i was like wow!! da best stargate atlantis action bit ever. n music goes rly well wv it.

  • super song

  • Awesome vid. Please keep it keep it here, alot of Stargate vids are disapearing fast.

  • Heh, awesome song. Too bad you can't hear what they're saying too well though.

  • Thanks a lot

  • the songs called escape by Craig Armstrong

  • I'd love to know that, too

  • cool the music goes great with that.
