cool! lmao- i'm planning on a getting a khmer tattoo... haha but i don't have much knowledge about it except that monks and soldiers wear it- for protection- are there any other purposes for wearing khmer tattoos?

Khmer tattoo are used in wars and culturally for Khmer people. Khmer Women in the pre-Angkor time were permitted to had cultural mark (tattoo), the word tattoos are just dicaration of arts, but Sak is a believe of powers. you guy are just misunderstanding about the khmer sak youn

Yeah my family every one has tattoo including my mom and aunts...this is because my grandfather and my uncle is a master...but we have a choice to get it but me and my brother dont want one because you have to take care of it if you get it and me and my brother aren't to big on taking care of it! but we have other stuff to protect us...

to take care of it theres certain things you cant do or cant eat.. or people cant touch your head or something..

@rothima yes, rothima-- there is no rules against it per se. It was just that (I think) most Khmer women do not prefer to have it. I have it for a few years now, as a Khmer woman.
