I also wonder whether it was a real wedding or whether it was staged. I enjoyed how the Jamaicans warmed to the Klezmer music, another great musical tradition as rich as their own Reggae. I didn't like the "dark meat white meat" commets at the end. It seemed coarse and ruined the good feeling for me.

Wow!! That was amazing! Jamaican women are really beautiful; they are mixed with Native "American" and other stuff. Sometimes their hairs grows stright like asians, sometimes curly, sometimes lose. The Hebreaic women in the video are pretty too.

Just to let that Henriques is at least also Portuguese. Sephardic Jews of Portuguese descent fled to the "New World" from Spain and Portugals during the inquisition. Some settled in Jamaica. The Henriques family here in Jamaica are Sephardic Jews of the same priestly line as the Jewish family line Cohen. (Cohen is Hebrew for "priest".) Singer Sean Paul (Henriques) is also from that line.

I don't think the person meant it as a nationality-religion separation but rather as the clashing of two cultures.
Jamaica in itself is rich with culture (customs). Jews also have their own culture separate and apart from being Jamaican.
Being Jewish is not merely a religion though but it's also a people - or else the children of a Jewish woman would not be Jewish but they are considered to be.
(I am Jamaican and many in my family 'were' Jewish before converting to Christianity).

actually, you are not correct. Judaism is a religion, period. There are subcultures to it because Jews have lived just about everywhere in the world.
Moroccan Jews have different taste buds than Americans, British Jews don't follow baseball, etc. But there is one thing in common- the practice of the religion. Keeping the Sabbath, kosher, etc.

Last I read, genetic scientists determined there's no such thing as race at all. Differences too superficial. But there are strong genetic similarities within some communities, as you'd expect. Anyway, points toward some crazy idea among Israelites and some Jamaicans that black people are in fact Jews, and Jews are Ha Satan. Descendence and race are two separate issues. You can be Jewish and any color. All depends on where your ancestors moved.

You are right! Biologically there is no such thing as race, race is a social construct and the original practitioners of Judaism were Hebrews. Hebrews, in the social racial sense, were blacks.
