  • @cahmar1 @cahmar1 I disagree with that - there should be certain cases in which an account does get disabled - posting porn, violence, advocating murder of a certain person etc. My point is that the way "regular" accounts are getting disabled is very insensitive towards the FB user. There should be a clear mechanism in place to rectify the situation if one gets disabled unjustly - and there is not.

  • ...and that's exactly why I'm doing this. People invest a lot of time,effort & faith in establishing themselves on a network. It is - after all - those people that make the network. We deserve simply deserve better.

  • I was disabled from facebook with absolutely no idea why. Facebook will not even respond to my emails.

  • they take a very long time to reply.

  • so they finally got back to you? did you get your account back?

  • they replied me asking me to verify my account. that was it. I have not heard from them ever since.

  • how long did that take after you sent your first email?

  • first the replie within a week with an automated e-mail and afer the following, the sent me this :_

    "reply to this email to verify that you are the owner of the account that you referenced in your Facebook support inquiry. This security step must be completed before Facebook can respond to your inquiry. Facebook is only able to provide assistance to users who contact us from their login email address. "

    I'm not heard from them ever since i've replied the,. God kows whats happening.

  • Great idea. Everyone who has been screwed over by this company needs to speak up and pressure them to change. This has been going on for years now I find out after being disabled twice myself recently for no reason.

    I will be filming episode 3 tonite & should have it live by tomorrow. The best thing you all can do is spread the word. Offering constructive dialogue as opposed to just bitching will be hard to ignore before long.

  • my facebook has been dissabled for almost two weeks, ive sent an email almost every day and no reply! this is an amazing idea! i really hope you get the meeting! x

  • Thank you Lora! I'm sure we will get that meeting on behalf of all of us. The idea itself is really not that amazing - to me as an independent biz owner myself it is the only logical way to resolve customer service issues.

    I am going to keep posting videos on my progress; the best thing we can all do is spread the word so all our voices can be heard. As loyal customers we deserve that.

  • Rudy made a few more videos on this subject. He got a reply on day 19 and got his account back on day 21, after he sent a photocopy of his driver's license.

  • Your a 100% correct you should be able to communicate with customer service to address issues immediately, the current trend is for company's to make it impossible to communicate w/ them

  • I was dissable from facebook for sending friend requests out and sent out the same link to some of my friends.

  • well we'll see - I have been staying on top of searching "disabled facebook" on Twitter. The latest entry linked to a blog stating that it apparently takes a week for them to get back to you. Hopefully that's the case. Maybe it's not a big deal in terms of how many people are affected , maybe it is. in the end all I want is the account back.

  • a week is the earliest i've heard. i've heard more reports of months, and most reports of never.

  • I have been mailing them for weeks and still no respond

  • Looking forward to seeing what comes of this. We're not gonna take it!!!
