This is a very good video. Best one on here. Some of the others are more polished but make assumptions about raid skill. Being a noob to this battle its nice to have the breakdowns.

I think there's a mistake in the video. The kinetic bombs don't create a vortex when they impact, they just explode and throw everyone back. There are swirls on the ground prior to Valanar's unempowered Shock Vortex, which aren't impacted by the falling disco balls. The shock vortex mechanic changes when he gets empowered, which is why I think many people make this mistake about the mechanic.

only the empowered ones. The non-empowered ones start out as small as they can be so following them does nothing.

You definitely need a good balance of ranged and melee because there is not enough room to stay spread out if you have too many ranged even though the room is huge. The size of the room is drastically cut down by different AOE effects + ranged should be max ranged of the bosses.
