Aw that music is so nostalgic, I immediately recognised it and suddenly had so many memories of the show spring to mind that I hadn't thought of in years.
does anyone have the clip where joe and des go to the outback and use a rope swing and joe hits his head and des goes in and gets him (even though he couldn't swim)
and also the one where jim and paul go the outback and get lost and some vandals smash up the phone booth?
the show has been shit since 1995 if they went back to basic simple everyday issues with families and PLAY THE FUCKNIG ORIGINAL NEIGHBOURS THEME and backing music that went with it from 1985 til 1992...then ratings would improve!!
Everything changed around 1993 1994 time when Good old Jim Robinson was killed off( pratts!) and we already lost Des clarke 3 years before, the mangels, paul robinson, madge harold and then sadly Dorothy Burke left with toby and bouncer. Never as good agfter all this lot left.
The incidental music used in Neighbours back in those days was brilliant. They stopped using these classic tracks around 1993. And the tracks they've used since aren't half as good as the old ones.
know what you mean. and the clarinet on top of it's almost got me bawling my head off!! (Hahaha, how sad!)
I wish someone would release all the incidental music from vintage Neighbours on mp3 or something, so I could play them in my own life at particularly dramatic moments. Everyone would think I was a complete nutter!! lol they may be right :)
i remember that one! When she walks out of the house and shuts the door the camera stays on the empty house interior shot for just a second longer to heighten the fact that she's really gone. :(
Does anyone have the episode where daphne and gail were in the accident? i found it once but can't find it again :(

@jambo1903 Quite agree. Between 91 and 93 (92 and 94 in the UK), the show changed almost entirely. Never the same again. :(

i adore the background music. that piano sounds beautiful.
I long for the day that a talented piano player can recreate it, and put it on youtube.
If you go on various forums, there are so many people requesting old neighbours background music.
If anybody fancies a try, please tell me. I will SO subscribe! x

I remember this, Des has just left Harold and Madge's reception - too many memories.
The music wonderfully plays against the acting.

totally agree to all above- the incidental music such as this used in Neighbours was heartbreaking.
