i commented on another kiss song that when i was a kid i would listen to creatures of the night over and over, and i would set up my own drumkit with pillows and cardboard boxes and i would sit in my room for hours and hours and taught myself the fundamentals of drumming. when i sat behind a real drum kit for the first time, my mothers face was priceless. i actually taught myself to play, and i wasn't half bad. RIP eric, thank u!!

Eric Carrs love for ill children was incredible. He was such a loving guy. He took the band (Kiss) with him several times to visit the ill children at hospitals.. He was such an inspiration.. soul, heart and music. I wonder why Kiss didn't fullfil his work and visit the kids....

I think sometimes that altough KISS was practically everything for KISS, KISS as band and persons (Simmons specially) didn't deserved to have a guy like Eric, as person and as drummer. Eric, what a guy, he gave energy and power to my childhood, I really miss the whole thing regarding how amazed I was about his drumming his drum kit. Great gut along with Bruce Kulick.

well to P/G, he was a hired gun, u know wut i'm talkin abut. Ace & Peter gave them hell @ times & P/G wasnt goin to let it happen agan with Eric. They were pretty hard on him. He wanted to play drums on Ace's record and they said no. if i remember correctly, kiss put a book out talkin abut all their records. well on Revenge, Bruce talks his part and tells how he had to fight to get CARR JAM on there. i was shocked.

@believin13 Not so. Bruce never expressed such a sentiment in the book you refer to, KISS: Behind The Mask. He did not have to "fight" to get Carr Jam 1981 on Revenge. There's no mention of anything like that in the book at all. People always want to demonize Gene and Paul. They lost someone very close to them, yet they're assholes? Eric Carr died way too soon, but did the world stop because he died? No. But since Gene and Paul kept KISS going, they're now forever seen as bad guys.

I agree 100%. Like you I have been a fan since the early days's (1976) and Peter was good back then but by 1979 he had let himself go to the dogs. Eric never did that, he had alot to complain about but he always kept his dignity and showed respect for the fans, as for Gene and Paul it amazes me that they acted like superstars in the eightees when the kept reliesing such crap music, who the hell did they employ to dress them!! I was lucky enough to have seen Eric Carr in concert 15 times. He always kicked ass even when KISS sucked (Crazy Nights Tour) So much power and heart from a little guy. I met him on 2 occasions and he was just such e regular guy. I was gutted at his passing and disgusted at the way he was treated by Gene and Paul. It made me realize why he never acted like a big star, it was because they never allowed him to.
