Also, can you tell me what material you used for the elevator extensions and whether you think they are helpful. This is an interesting mod. I see the reason why as the elevator area is rather small in relationship to the wing area. Also, what size of CF tubes did you insert in the wings and fuselage?
@Finnegan9700 I just wanted to be sure I had good pitch control and used the clear packaging material used for toys (Barbie dolls, etc.) it was the stiffest I could find. The V2 would have the fuselage tube standard. The wing tubes I forget but are very close if not exactly like the short CF wing tube that will come with the glider. I had to sand the long wing CF tube I had on hand as it was in inches and was too tight (got it at a the US LHS - mm vs inch thing)
Tsisapik, great work on both the Ventus and the video! I have ordered the same sailplane from Hobby King and just received word it is shipping. Will fly with my Spektum Dx8 Tx and the Orange 9 channel Rx. This will allow me to add crow for landing.
@aussie507 Thanks ... when properly setup, the model behaves very well. Handles windy days better than the MPX EasyGlider or ST-330 EasyFly ... maybe because of the narrower wings??
great work on putting the ventis together. thanks for the video too. looks great in the air. i would want to go high with a ventis. i like your choice of components. i'm always interested why some choose certain motors or servos over others. well done my friend...later
@boywaimea Thanks dude ... I put on the decals now that I know the model flies great - makes it look a lot better. Still need to work on the prop set-up to reduce drag though. This a full house glider with all of seven servos and I might be working the BEC circuit of the ESC too hard ... Next flight/s will be higher with some some basic tests (CG), inverted, dives etc. which I was not able to to with the first maiden. Good luck with your Phoenix !

@Finnegan9700 Thanks! Hope you got the later version as this has the needed mods earlier pilots were looking for.
