Way to get your point about "LOVE" across, ya buffoon. A simple addressing of the issue with vocals would have just been fine, you made a bigger scene and disruption than the lady with the cell phone did to begin with.
AMEN!!!!! I agree with the Pastor!!!!How disrespectful to have your cellphone on during Bible Class! It shows a lack or respect for the Pastor and the other members of the church! You go to HEAR GOD'S WORD NOT TO ENTERTAIN CONVERSATION! IF YOU HAVE BUSINESS THAT IMPORTANT OR IF YOU ARE ON CALL FROM YOU JOB PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS AND PUT THE PHONE ON VIBRATE!!!!!!
i believe that this was nothing more than a well rehearsed and planned skit to speak to the issue of answering cell phones in church. not to be taken seriously!
@DerrickH1969 if thats how you feel about me fine but your opinions doesnt define who I am or who I love. I agree with you. YEs have ur phone on silent but it could of been an emergency who knows. Yes I would of done it. If your bold enough to do somthing rediculous as that Im bold enough to react. Say Im not saved, say I dont love Jesus Say what u please. Dont care. Good day
First off it was none of his property to smash.. He was WAY OUT OF LINE.. The phone user was also being disrespectful. The best way I would have handled was to tell the congregation that he will be silent and wont continue till either she left with her phone call or hung up and turned it down... Silence and an effective pause can do more than an undisciplined reaction of anger..
And yes cell phones should be OFF or on vibrate when the word is going forth. But it could of been an emergency. All I know is theres a way you handle things. But na we.both.would of.had repent for fighting in church
Yeah so I love Jesus but if that had need.my.phone both of us would.of.been slained in the "spirit" alright. All Ima say is " punch your neighbor in the mouth and say o the BLOOD"
@0orr If you love Jesus, then have enough respect to turn off your phone when you're in church, and listen to the Word. Not saying the pastor handled it correctly, but how disrespectful that is to a man who prays and studies his Bible all week, just to feed his congregation, and they cannot even respect the preaching time. So you would hit God's man in the pulpit over your phone? Doesn't sound you love Jesus too much
Have any of you ever attended a Shabat service at an Orthodox Jewish congregation? Let me tell you, cell phone disruptions are tame by comparison. You have kids running around the place, men talking constantly during prayers, and it drives everyone crazy.
After the service, we have a huge bash called the "Kiddush" with lots of food (and booze).
Finally, there's the "Kiddush club," which I won't talk about.
if that happened to me i would be serious for a moment then start laughing my head off cuz a pastor just whacked me on my head like he's my dad or something!! no seriously i woulod star bursting in tears just laughing my head off!
if that happened to me i would be serious for a moment then start laughing my head off cuz a pastor just whacked me on my head like he's my dad or something!! no seriously i woulod star bursting in tears just laughing my heasd off!
People should be more RESPECTFUL, though. I agree with that. They should not have cell phones going off during a church service (or any other type of public meeting, for that matter). But, sometimes, we forget to turn our cell phones OFF. And, it wasn't INTENTIONAL. But, something we just forgot to do. Still doesn't deserve this type of treatment. I hope everybody ended up walking OUT of that "Church." And, hope they never came back. Go somewhere else where you WILL be loved and appreciated. ;<)
Don't you get it??? Most preachers are NOT full of love. They are just the opposite. A lot of them are filled with HATE. Hate for gays, hatred for anybody who has ever had (or is thinking of having) an abortion, hatred towards those who don't give enough money to the "Church" (aka - pastor). Hatred towards Jews, blacks, or ANYBODY else that might not TOTALLY agree with them and their philosophies on religion. Don't get me wrong. There are some who are NOT like this, too. Thank God!!!
If that had happened to me, he (the pastor) wouldn't have just walked away (back towards the pulpit). Me and him would have had some words. And, then, it might have even got physical. You just don't do that. He could have done a number of things to solve this problem. But, that was not the thing to do. And, I'm surprised that the guy (or lady) who's cell phone was crushed ..... just sat there calmly. Omg, I don't care if I made a scene or not. That would not happen to me without a fight going on
What a clown! Notice how he said "we love" after he smashed the lady's cell phone. Just another proof that religions are full of hypocrites. I'm not saying that all religious people are but unfortunately, most of them tend to do something stupid like this from time to time.
I can tolerate a lot, but for him to destroy her phone was just rude. He could have asked her to just politely get off the phone. He just let his anger get the best of him. God doesn't throw him around when he does something bad because he is a sinner just like the rest of us. However, if he had thrown my cell phone down and broke it like that then these hands would have touched him and they wouldn't have been holy. I paid money for my phone. I would have kicked his head in. Now, that's anger...
Ok half of th congregation is now gone...I think this preacher needs to have a little talk with Jesus and find out more about temperance, the different fruits of the Spirit and love. I can't believe that woman remained so calm....I would've probably go up there and throw my cell phone at him and then the Bible at him and then go repent!!!!!
I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way, but I will never turn away from God. He has showed Himself to be true to me far to many times. I will not question Him like I supposedly spend time questioning other gods, because I'm more focused on my relationship with God than I am doing research on a god. Besides I look at it like this: Even if God was not (which I know is not true), I'd rather believe in Him and find out that He is not, than not believe in Him and find out that He is. He's real
Haha what a fuckwit american douche, christians are such fucktards... I don't have anything against faith or respect for a higher power, but religion has been turned faith into such a retarded thing. Faith an belief isn't about reading fairytales, PAYING for forgiveness or whatever, or feeling obligated to do whatever some retard says god tells us all to do.
I don't agree with what he did. But man how disrespectful was that. You got kids running around the church. You got kids yelling, then you got a grown woman that didn't have since enough to turn off her ringer and then thought it was ok to have a full on conversation in the middle of a sermon.
It's not about him but how disrespectful is that to God?
@narwhalfreedomforce I just don't know how I could live this life without knowing the God that I serve. THere's absolutely no doubt in my mind that my Father is real. I'm sorry you feel that way and I will be praying for you.
@dachurchboi i thought the exact same thing. when i came to realization that god did not exist, i was devestated. i didnt know what i was supposed to live for. but i would much rather live knowing the truth than following a lie created roughly 2000 years ago. i hope you will question your god like you question the gods of every other religion. and i hope that one day you will see that you have been lied too. the god of Christianity is no more real than zeus. one day jesus will be mythology.
That's not a pastor gone crazy, that's a pastor gone KICK-ASS! He rules!
Assholes who have a phone on... in the theatre, in a place of worship, in a library... fucking smash those phones to smithereens, man! Disrespectful as hell!
Is he really the pastor or just some dude teaching the lesson...
I hope that he's just some dude teaching the lesson. I HOPE that the leader of a church, who is the spiritual shepherd of a body of people, and teaching about love, I HOPE, that is not the case. Poor church.
